Saying Someone Has "zero Brain Cells Present" Because You Didn't Understand Their Addition To A Post
Saying someone has "zero brain cells present" because you didn't understand their addition to a post doesn't seem like a very good way to "facilitate collected, open-minded discussions between opposing or conflicting views". The addition was clearly about how some fandom spaces are so separated from reality that they end up treating fandom drama like shipping as some huge priority to sink effort into and how arguing over a ship will somehow make the world a better place. It won't and some fan areas would do well to keep it all in perspective and have a reality check over what's an actual problem in life. What a mean spirited blog you run if this is how you treat anyone trying to interact with the topics you bring up.

Its the tag I use so people can block my more nonsensical or argumentative reblogs if that's not something they want to see. Its also pretty accurate, frankly. If you get that tag, you've earned it.
I understood it perfectly. I also understood it was a completely irrelevant and pointless addition to the post because it directly contradicts the very nature of the post.
If you look back through the reblogs you'll see well over a hundred other people have done the exact same thing and been given the exact same response. If you say something stupid on my posts, beyond a certain point I will simply react as I see fit.
I do not care that I've hurt your feelings or theirs. Life is unfortunate that way sometimes. Its not mean spirited. Its called reaching the threshold of my patience.
Responding to someone saying people need respite by essentially regurgitating that they're allowed respite as long as they never ever forget that people are being murdered and as long as people are forced to moderate how much respite they need is... Really not the kind of moral victory the reblogger thought it was.
People are entitled to respite. Period. As much of it as they need. Respite doesn't magically erase the knowledge that the world is burning. We don't need people like that reblogger permitting us respite as long as we only take just enough of it to reach that shitty perfect balance they have in mind.
Once activism becomes forced it is no longer activism and it is no longer as effective. Also, waving around one of those very same world issues as some kind of brownie point to your argument is disgusting.

Can I tell you why I don't like the anti community anymore? It's okay if you don't but I just need to get it off my chest given I saw someone acting like a victim when their blog was deleted for targeted bullying lol.
But it shouldn't have taken me as long as it did to realize, but I've watched anti's for a while - especially a handful in the ficitonal other / self shipping community, who just absolutely vague and bully those who don't agree with them off this website and out of the comm. It's a community that's supposed to be safe and comfortable with the idea of shipping with fiction characters but 'oh no if you ship with that one you're problematic, you will be vagued about it and we will do everything possible to put you don't til you leave or we start targeted harassment til you're forced to leave'.
It's so wild to me that this space, any space, that preaches being as inclusive as possible and non-judgemental has a long, long list of rules of what can and can not be and if you over step that line, you will no longer be allowed within that space. Their anti space is super bad this kind of stuff. They sit on the idea of being 'morally better' while also being absolutely nasty, not communicating properly when something makes them uncomfortable ( ie making the choice to vague post instead ) and bullying everyone who disagrees with them.
I don't know. It just bothers me so much. You hate to see it but if I had to say 'this is what changed my perspective', that would be it. How can on think themselves the 'moral better' while making others feel like the lowest dirt and isolating them from the community they enjoyed?
Welcome, oh ye enlightened one.
(But on a more serious note, yeah. Most anti spaces are just a cesspit of people tearing apart the weakest link and scrambling to be the Pure One.)

I did litter picking as a hobby in my last home, and eventually people started to thank me, and then eventually someone set up a group with me! It got too much for my hands after a while but it shows that its not futile to do something like that if you are able. Do you have any advice to on how to engage petitioning people when it you are autistic and disabled and thus struggle to put your limited energy towards things you feel aren't gonna lead anywhere and be pointless?
One of the best ways you can help if you have low reserves of energy or motivation is actually by helping others to achieve your shared goal. Chances are if you've found something wanting in your local community or with a larger issue, other people have too.
You can take on less demanding, perhaps even more fun tasks like designing leaflets or images that can be shared around. Especially in the era of convenience and hilarity where low quality memes can often accomplish what would once require fourteen degrees and few years experience in digital design.
Often people get burnt out by trying to assume a spearhead or higher effort role in a cause. Taking on too much when you simply don't have the capability to meet your own expectations is a not insignificant portion of why causes can feel 'pointless' or 'unachievable.'
For example, a lot of the common activism I do is actually simply connecting people to other people who can mutually aid them in their cause. If someone has the knowledge for how to get something to happen but simply not the time, I help them find someone who has the time that they can feed their knowledge to so that person can do what they can't.
Local good cause doesn't have a Facebook page for awareness and easy communication? Don't have the spoons to fully set it up and mod it yourself? Lightly prod the suggestion at someone who does. Encourage them to set it up. Maybe you can do small parts of setting it up like typing out the about section or sending out page invites.
Also; acknowledging when its too much for you and taking a step back is so fucking important. I already have a post about this; but forcing yourself into activism constantly is terrible for you, your cause and the people around you. Take breaks when you need them. Delegate when you need to. Take days to enjoy the world you live in for the very finite amount of time that you're in it.
Helloooooo!! Everytime I come across your blog my brain goes "it's Tea!!" And then I open it and see the pinned post and am like "Sephiroth. It's Sephirothš¤¦š½" lol
Hope you have a lovely day, I really enjoy your blog and the information you provide. You're so smart and cool
Ahh shit I'm repeating what Ive said before
You're so thoughtful and your blog brings me lots of joy
K byyye
I am more than willing to be addressed as Tea. ā
(Honestly, call me as you wish. I'm kind of like a dog that way, say it enough and I'll just associate it with myself!)
I hope you have a lovely lifetime, sweet anon. Call it narcissistic or self-indulgent but I do always love the little messages like this. Especially when I recognise the sender!
Thank you for this, it was a welcome little happy moment.
I really want to ask about something regarding the Free Palestine. Do you allow it?
'Allow it' in what regard?

if they see completely normal family interactions between two fully clothed characters, Iām afraid of what theyāll say about the bathing scene in āmy neighbor Totoroā, where the dad took a bath with his daughters together in one tub
thereās nothing inappropriate or dirty about this scene, heās just taking a bath with his daughters, and the only thing you can see are their smiling faces peaking above the bathtub
thankfully I havenāt encountered antis saying weird things about this scene, but I fear they would, maybe at some point when it gains enough attention on socmed (but I hope not)
Antis will find issues with pretty much anything, I can assure you. I still remember the whole debacle when David Beckham posted that photo of him giving his daughter a kiss and they were shitting themselves about how its inappropriate and how he's almost definitely fucking his own child.
Unfortunately the idiots we have the joy of being exposed to online also exist out in the real world. They're going to have their issues; I just ignore them. If they want to twist themselves in knots about innocent content, who am I to stop them? They just look like morons and only get taken seriously in the festering nest of likeminds.
