This is set shortly after Ingo has gone missing (I saw it floated around online that Ingo’s been missing for about 5 years since the start of Legends Arceus, & adding 2 years since then, that makes 7).

Gear Station may or may not be closed, but either way, it’s empty…& even as someone who loves rain, it can sometimes feel like the sky’s crying.

SxV Epilogue - Endings & Beginnings (2)

Ansy was born in Kanto, but lived most of her life in Unova. She made friends with the Subway Boss twins because of her grandma’s not-so-subtle hints (“so he can remember your face…if you get lost, I mean!”). At this point, she’s known them for like 20 years.

DxP REWRITE - Mizumi

Meet Mizumi! She shares a lot of traits with her descendant, though is maybe even more optimistic & reckless lol. As this is set 2 years after Legends Arceus, she is indeed a girl from the modern era who saved the Hisui region together with the Creation Trio & Arceus as part of the Survey Corps. She is also the youngest & the smallest of the cast, standing at 4’8”.

She’s inspired by my IRL great-grandmother Hiyoko (who married my 6 foot something great-grandfather lol). Like me, Ansy only heard good things about her from older family members, though have never met her herself (except at the Crystal Pool).

PS: have a very uncle-niece photo of her with Ingo 😊

DxP REWRITE - Emmet

Meet DxP’s version of Emmet! When I played BDSP I thought Barry was…annoying lol. I had the idea for this story around the time I decided to finally play Shining Pearl, so I had the thought of just naming the rival “Emmet”.

When I squinted, I saw Barry’s striped jacket as Emmet’s striped Subway Boss coat, & interpreted his impatient running around as looking for clues about Ingo together with Ansy & Ikrit.

Apart from that, Emmet’s about the same as he is canonically: likes to spread smiles as much as he likes to smile himself, & “likes winning more than anything else!”

He seems to favor Electric, Bug, & Steel types as well as fossils. I could’ve just given him his Unovan team, but in my headcanon, there’re customs rules about that (my reasoning for why we can only have Pokemon that’s in each game). Although, it does appear that he has a little stowaway passenger who hid in his cap or coat lol.

🔽 After some thinking (mostly thanks to this Sword / Shield Submas run I’m playing), I decided Emmet & Ingo do nickname their Pokémon after rail terms after all lol. Most of them should be pretty easy to figure out - meanwhile, “Yurei” is short for “yureiresha” or “ghost train”, a word I heard constantly in a subbed Submas compilation from the anime lol.

Could this be the same grandma who encouraged Ansy to make friends with the Subway Boss twins all those years ago? Perhaps!

I’m sure Emmet was given a number of gifts at this point, & probably had about the same reaction (except maybe if it was from Elesa).
