Behold, the togepi line more like birbs than ever before! I had a lot of fun just messing with their looks and floof, and then colouring I just threw out the window and went with whatever works worked mentality. Did not strive for perfection but just what felt right and I like how it all turned out in the end XD
I had the vibe of Togepi looking more like a baby chick than usual, Togetic being a mix of a chicken and a dove, and Togekiss being a mix of a snowy owl, dove and a hint of parrot for the crest of feathers on its head.

Backstory
Larkin is the adoptive brother of Leon and Hop! Also both of the podswick moms are his moms because they are a lesbian couple. Larkin has always been extremely camera shy as well as weary of strangers, so the media doesn't really know much about him. Larkin learned his cooking skills from his moms, and can often be found helping around the kitchen. As kids, Hop was the defacto leader and would come up with plans to get up to shenanigans while Larkin would just be along for the ride.
Hop honestly could have convinced Leon to endorse him years ago, but Hop wanted to wait until Larkin was ready so they could set out on their gym challenge together. That's not to say Leon hadn't seen Larkin's potential. Larkin had always been really good with pokemon, but didn't have the self confidence that he could be a pokemon trainer for a long time, basically up until roughly a year before the events of the game. Leon was absolutely ecstatic when Larkin asked for a pokemon of his own, which lead to leon bringing the three starts for larkin and Hop.
To quickly sum up Larkin's personality, he's shy, quiet, easily startled, very kind, and would honestly rather spend time with pokemon than people. He's just a really soft smol bean of sweetness and wholesomeness.

His outfit and overall style is inspired by zacian.
I know that there is a story behind why I chose the number 602, I just can't remember for the life of me why I chose that number. Ironic, considering that I distinctly remember spending time overthinking it waaaay too much.
Originally I was planning for Larkin to have a more mischievous personality, instead I got the human embodiment of a sobble.
DxP REWRITE - Mizumi
Meet Mizumi! She shares a lot of traits with her descendant, though is maybe even more optimistic & reckless lol. As this is set 2 years after Legends Arceus, she is indeed a girl from the modern era who saved the Hisui region together with the Creation Trio & Arceus as part of the Survey Corps. She is also the youngest & the smallest of the cast, standing at 4ā8ā.
Sheās inspired by my IRL great-grandmother Hiyoko (who married my 6 foot something great-grandfather lol). Like me, Ansy only heard good things about her from older family members, though have never met her herself (except at the Crystal Pool).

Made some more of these trainer encounters for my commission sheet Iām working on! I had the fun idea to offer āSingle Battleā & āDouble Battleā drawings either line-art or full-color, with 1-6 PokĆ©mon per drawing (1-3 each for Doubles, just like in the game!)
For the āSingle Battleā example, I drew more āme-Ansyā than ācomic-Ansyā (lol) with the plush team youāve been seeing in those slice of life posts Iād do (still waiting on the last 2 members, hopefully for Christmas!). Really looking forward to it getting cool enough for me to wear my cozy cloudy sweater more~ āļø
For the āDouble Battleā I drew Ansy & Ikrit as a āKimono Coupleā! Kimono / Furisode Girl is a trainer class who wear traditional Japanese clothes & use Eeveelutions, perfect for our Eevee family lol. Reminds me of the Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom Festival)! šø I need that kimono
Iām hoping to have the completed sheet done soon. Again, I wonāt be able to do too many at a time (the Double Battle definitely ate up a lot of my time / energy lollllll), but yeah! Should be fun!
