A Pair Of Expatriate Artists, I Guess It Could Be Anyone - But Of Course We're All Thinking He Was With

A pair of expatriate artists, I guess it could be anyone - but of course we're all thinking he was with that person, right? That special friend, whose name is very well known.

What did we know of the proper forms of love? Well, this of course could mean a lot of things, but it's always made me think about a love that many would find inappropriate, even offensive - like love between two men back when they were young. Just saying.

You could pretend a friend was a lover - yes, let us be lovers.

I don't know, of course.

What I know is, I do believe Artie loved Paul very much, and Paul did love him back, even if just for a moment. Whatever form that love took, it was there. And if you ask me, I think this kind of verses by Artie speak exactly of that love. That special kind of love they shared, that love no one but them seemed to really grasp, and most still don't grasp today.

What Is This Art Garfunkel? Who Is This About? Explain Yourself.

Dua Sutekh 🌩️

Poem to Sutekh

As the storm rages loudly

And the sky trembles above

The darkness envelops the land

The wind howls past my window

I know you are here, beloved

You who are great of strength

You whisper softly in my ear

“Let it go and feel the storm”

I let the past go and embrace my freedom

Riding the wave of change in my life

Slowly I notice that the storm has settled

And my heart feels great sadness

Out of the corner of my eye a flash of red

And I smile as I know you are with me still.

Poem To Sutekh

Does anyone have the slightest idea about what the hell Paul was trying to do with that hand/mouth gesture?

I mean... apart from the most obvious hint. Or am I the only one seeing it?

Welp.

Anyway, I've always loved this pic.

I think you're looking for this:

"We were around age 13 and 14. We started rehearsing in an amazingly professional way at a very early age. We had this tape recorder and this thing of trying to sound like the real people… The next thing to do was to get real good in singing so we’d sing and harmonize and hold very serious long rehearsals in his basement and he’d strum and we’d work on a song. We’d be sitting nose-to-nose looking right at each other’s mouths to copy diction. I’d want to know exactly where his tongue would hit the top of his palate when he’d say a “T,” to know exactly how to get that “T” right. And I could see that you could be almost right or even better than almost right and that all of that really was the difference between whether or not it sounded professional. Then once you had it very precise you cooled it out and made it seem effortless."
