Oh my god, I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that when I graduated high school, there was this student/teacher dinner for top students and even my TEACHERS stared at me when I said I wasn't pursuing art. And it's even more sad thinking back on my high school years that my interest and confidence in my own artistic abilities had been steadily decreasing since starting high school, but they still saw and knew how passionate I was about it. And now I'm in biological research and I have no clue what or why I'm doing this, but at least I'll have money, right?

just ran into an old high school friend (i graduated from high school like 7 years ago??) and she asked me what i was doing and i told her i’m majoring in accounting and she went silent for a second and was like “really? you always wanted to be a writer.” and i swear a part of me actually died.

I just read the entirety of the Green Creek Series, and something super small that absolutely destroyed me was how casual and accepting everyone was with Chris and Tanner’s relationship (definitely a QPR).

Like it was confusing at first, but no one tries to say that their love for each other was lesser than the other couples in the pack. And it really drives home the underlying theme I noticed in the series: platonic love is just as important and worthy as romantic love.

small ways to tell the twinyards apart

(because ive been thinking about them a lot lately can you tell)

andrew has mild heterochromia. one of his eyes is a slightly darker brown than the other

aaron gets more freckles in summer and burns easier than andrew does

andrew never sleeps on his back and aaron never sleeps on his side

andrew's right shoulder is crooked, he broke it in the crash and it didn't really heal right

aaron's hair is more dirty blond whereas andrew's is a lighter shade. andrew's hair goes fluffier when it air dries b/c it's thicker but aaron's stays straight

piercings. aaron has two, lobe and brow, and andrew has five rings in his left ear, three and an industrial in his right, a brow piercing, snake bites, nose ring, and a tongue piercing he rarely puts any metal in

aaron's got a neck tattoo, two others on his arms and one on his calf. andrew has none because nobody will ever get that close to him with a needle if they value their life or their fingers

the bags under aaron's eyes are more prominent than andrew's

they're both mildly short sighted but aaron's prescription means he needs his glasses to read and drive (if he did) more than andrew. andrew can get away with mostly not wearing them

andrew stands with his arms folded and aaron stands with his hands in his pockets

aaron's hair usually looks greasier because of how much time he spends raking his hands through it whilst studying

andrew holds mugs or cups in both hands

aaron's faster

aaron has a scar above his left eyebrow from when he was younger. andrew has a scar down the right side of his face from the car crash

aaron bites his nails but andrew picks at the skin around them

aaron wears rings andrew doesn't
