Eventually Tim got fed up with Bruce pulling rank on him about stupid shit over comms while on patrol... Especially on slow nights. Instead of enjoying slow nights like the rest of his kids, Bruce gets annoyingly paranoid.

So one night, when Bruce tried to order Tim to go double check a few blocks of his patrol route Tim already checked thoroughly...

"I understand what you're proposing B, but I'm not sure if that would be a wise use of my time. I'm going to have to put you on hold while I crunch the numbers."

"What do you mean put me on ho--"

Tim then proceeded to take the next five minutes eating a chili dog with his siblings where they'd all gathered together for a late night snack.
