I’m not here to teach (or educate) anything to anyone but only as a reminder about the benefits of nature which, has its own limits. Wilderness cleans our air, filters our water and provides home for human as well as for wildlife. So it is crucial for humanity, which is already to blame, to bring radical changes today before it’s entire extinction tomorrow. That is my only intention here folks. #ClimateChange
This is not a quality picture since it has been taken through a bay window and early this morning but, that's not the point. What's important here, is the climate is changing dramatically and here's another sign. People who live in cities or are not feeding birds can't always be aware of that kind of situation, so check this one out guys.
We're only in mid-January and we have already seen 2 baby Downy Woodpeckers...? a hundred and more Finch eating here all day long for over 2 weeks now...? Also, twelve Mourning Doves have decided to stay here the entire Winter and now some of them are skipping breakfast just like if they were in the nesting season...?
Our usual Crows who have been eating breakfast with us every morning since... have disappeared for 2 days now...? Usually this kind of situation happens during the nesting season. Which is normally before the Spring, at the end of February/beginning of March to build their nest and lay their eggs. But never in mid-January. I have also seen one of them strengthening an old nest...?
Due to the mild temperature and lack of snow, some birds are already migrating from South with the impression that this is the "nesting season" like if we were in early Spring. Lets not forget that the temperature is mild during the day but at night it's still can drop to -25c, so that must be pretty hard for some of these little ones.
Birds are all messed up! Maybe for some people it's only speculation but hey! Climate is really changing radically and these kind of things must be talked about.

Grande Vallée of Chertsey, Québec, Canada.
Almost January 1 2020.
Why still so much Goldfinch at this time of the year? They are migratory birds, right? Is it because of the lack of snow; the mild temperature, like -5c, or is it simply the Winter that is cut in a half and the Spring is already at our doors. Well if it is? will take it as very good news.
It also means that more sunflower seeds are needed.
