This is not a big quality picture since it has been taken with a Samsung mobil and pretty far from it this morning but, it is always a good moment when we see our big friend, the Canadian Crow, arriving for breakfast.
Singing on a tree on this beautiful foggy morning, while waiting daddy to come back home and bring breakfast. So cute.
Canadian Ravens are such beautiful species.
When I'm in the woods, I'm always looking for feathers to add to my collection and the bigger one the better it is. The idea of finding the smallest feather never occur to me, but today it happened and I'm more than happy.
Could say that it's coming from a Mourning Dove cause they're many in this area but, who knows.
Black-capped Chickadees are some of the North American brave ones, non-migratory, who stay the entire Winter with us. They are the most docile birds I've ever met.
There is always a bunch of Mourning Doves resting near the house. Usually like 10 to 12; 7 of them are visible now. They seem to really appreciate the sunflower and safflower seeds offered, and as I see, they will stay the entire Winter with us.

Why still so much Goldfinch at this time of the year? They are migratory birds, right? Is it because of the lack of snow; the mild temperature, like -5c, or is it simply the Winter that is cut in a half and the Spring is already at our doors. Well if it is? will take it as very good news.
It also means that more sunflower seeds are needed.
