Technically They Were Called Out On It By Ironwood During His "turn To The Dark Side" Scene, But I Think

Technically they were called out on it by Ironwood during his "turn to the dark side" scene, but I think it'd be more interesting if they also had the team bringing this up, as they presumably never even told Ruby or Weiss. Ren for sure should have mentioned it during his argument with Yang, as that situation was a big contributor in Ironwood turning on them.

I'm starting to wonder something.

I've always said that I dislike the scene of Yang and Blake telling Robyn about Amity behind everyone's back, but I'm starting to wonder if it was a writing misstep or if it was on purpose. Like the audience is meant to question this choice.

Weiss' Baby Shower

Nora: Hey Ice Queen, you went to a sperm bank, right?

Weiss; Um, yes?

Nora: Jaune donated some of his last month.

Jaune: 🤨

Nora: Ooh, maybe Jaunes the father!

Everyone: 😳

Weiss: Well, this was a highly exclusive establishment.

Nora: Down at Mantle? Next to the McSchnee's?

Weiss: ... Well I paid for an ideal specimen.

Ren: So you're saying Jaune's not an ideal specimen.

Weiss: ... This is a wonderful shower you guys.

Jaune: Oh God, I might be the dad.

Sun: Ok, I've got one. Would you have sex with Ren, if it meant you could have sex with Professor Goodwitch?

Jaune: Uhhh... Yeah. Yeah I'd probably do it.

Sun: Wait! Hang on! Missionary... And you have to look him in the eye. No closing your eyes and pretending it's somebody else.

Jaune: ... I think still yes.

Ren: Thank you Jaune.

Jaune: *Wielding an axe* Boy, it is time. With Ragnarok coming to our doorstep, our wait shall come to an end. No matter what, I have faith that I... No... We will be able to take on all that come our way. Are you ready boy?

Adrian: *Holding a toy bow and arrow* Mista!

Jaune: Good boy. *Pats his head*

Terra: What am I looking at?

Saphron: Don't mind him, he's just excited his game is getting delivered today.

Terra: Ah, I see... Hey, when did he grow a beard?

Saphron: A what now?

While I wouldn't say Yang was completely wrong, she did do a terrible job holding up her side of the argument. They were lucky Raven defeated Cinder and Blake showed up with all the faunus. They needed Cordovin and her mech to defeat the leviathan, a grimm they themselves caused to show up by unnecessarily going against Cordovin. And the whole situation with Ironwood and the lamp is a whole other thing on it's own. It's hard for me personally to side with her due to her insurance that things would be worse if they did nothing when, like I mentioned earlier, they caused a leviathan to arrive.

I could go on and on but you get it. That's why I feel Ren was more in the right. Sure, he certainly has a more cynical view on everything, but at least he acknowledged that they all screwed up royally, which they really did. I'd probably feel more even on the subject if Yang gave more valid arguments, but as it is, it feels more like her glorifying their accomplishments without looking at the full picture of those events or how their decisions have effected things negatively

The Moment Ren pissed off Yang is still one of my Favorites, Yang was just like okay I'm done with the attitude. And The People who were telling Yang to shut up and admit to her and RWB "mistake" 🖕is all I have to say them. They were both right in that situation, I was leaning more towards Yang's side but they were still both right in their argument.

Jaune: Ok, I admit it. Alright? I'm the one that forged their documents to sneak into Beacon. But you have to keep this on the down low. I could be in a lot of trouble. I already hid the evidence.

Ruby: Did you at least do it right? You burned the evidence and tossed it into a lake?

Jaune: No, I hid it in the powder Ren makes his smoothies with-

Ruby: Oh, because they come out tasting awful already. Very smart. Well, no worries. You and I will just leave Vale and start a new life together.

Jaune: What?! What are talki-

Ruby: *Holds up scroll* Look, we can buy a house in Mistral for 43,000 lien.

Jaune: Ruby, I'm not leaving Vale to-Wait seriously?

Ruby: Yeah, pretty big too. 3 rooms, hardwood floors...

Jaune: For 43,000? That's insane. We could just pay that off.

Ruby: I know right?! You could have that game room you've always wanted, and there'd still be an extra room for the baby!
