Some of you should have been heretics during the Spanish inquisition if you think that the pyramid is hot.

I really love the idea of Alastor slowly getting more and more comfortable with the main crew at the Hazbin Hotel. Like, he THRIVES off of being mysterious and shit, but it's hard to keep that persona up 24/7 - especially when everyone starts slowly getting more comfortable around him. (EVEN when he does the Big Scary Demon thing! What???)
Like, for instance in Ep5, Charlie isn't alarmed by what he's doing, and tbh neither is anyone at the hotel. The only person who comments that what he's doing is alarming is LUCIFER, who doesn't live there. No one else even seems to bat an eye, and Vaggie isn't upset that he takes the fight from her to do his big scary demon shit.
They like him! Hell, the only 2 people less than pleased when he shows back up in Ep8 is Husk (who he owns) and Lucifer. Even Vaggie is smiling and pleased he survived. (And even Husk and Lucifer don't look that upset, just not appreciating his dramatics.)
And so, slowly Alastor just begins to drop his Radio Demon persona. He's still touch averse, but as long as it's not forced, he allows people to touch him for small instances at a time. He begins letting the others see him when he's tired or less put together. He plays music when he's doing something around the hotel, and if someone catches him dancing, he might just invite them to dance WITH him. He dresses down if he's not going anywhere, and drapes his jacket places to not wear it all the time. He lets them SEE HIS TAIL. (No one is still allowed to touch it, nor his ears, but it's the principle of the thing.)
The main crew even stop being alarmed or scared when he DOES do his ominous shit, like they don't even react when his eyes turn into radio dials and he threatens them over something stupid. They're just like "uh huh, sure, pal." And mime patting his shoulder (they know he doesn't like being touched when he's already in this state).
He defends someone at the hotel by ripping them to shreds with his tentacles and eating them, and the person he defends just looks so thankful (even with him having blood all over him, his eyes black, and tar-like drool dripping from his mouth) and he's so caught off guard that when they ask if they can hug him, he LETS THEM.
(The entire hotel loses their shit when he drops both the radio voice AND talks with his Louisiana Creole accent one night as they're drinking.)
hey guys new diagnosis just dropped: EVIL AUTISM

back at it with another doctor who poll bc i think this one would be really funny
physical fight, no weapons, yes you can fight dirty, who are you decking, i'd love to hear your reasoning in the tags LMAO
never trust a doctor who fan to tell you which episodes of doctor who to watch because I just saw someone on my dash say that absolutely nothing consequential happened during the eleventh doctorâs run. ive seen people say that twelveâs last season was low quality. theyâve said that nineâs season is good, but you donât really need to see it to understand whatâs going on. someone suggested that ten is overrated and totally out of character for the doctor and his first two seasons are worth skipping so you donât have to see any romance nonsense. tons of people think thirteenâs has no redeeming qualities whatsoever and should be written off entirely. trust no one. you gotta take matters into your own hands. godspeed
That post about death note being "everyone's first anime" (untrue statement) made me curious and now I want to gather data for science
Can you reblog this and tell me where are you from and what was your starter anime?
Psa: cosmetics are not cleaning products and for the most part, you can mix them together. (Be careful of your EYES)
If its a liquid, check if the base is oil or water
If its from two different brands/lines try mixing a bit in a dish before you commit.
number 1 tip. STOP BUYING SHEER LIP GLOSS.
Unless its a stain or has spf or something super fancy, it's a waste. You'll get wayy more "hydration" and a LOT more product for your money if you just mix vaseline with other stuff (liquid eyeliner works rly well).
Don't let brands con you into thinking its unsafe to use their stuff for anything other than what it says, INCLUDING SMALL BUSINESSES, NOT ALL OF THEM ARE GOOD JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT BEZOS. Makeup is fancy facepaint, not medication where you need to follow the instructions. Use eyeshadow as contour! Mix white facepaint into your foundation! Mascara can be eyeliner!
!!THIS IS FOR MAKEUP NOT SKINCARE, DO NOT MIX PRODUCTS WITH REACTIVE THINGS IN UNLESS SOMEBODY WHO UNDERSTANDS HOW IT WORKS TELLS YOU YOU CAN. ALSO BE VERY CAREFUL AROUND YOUR EYES BECAUSE THEY ARE ACTUALLY MORE SENSITIVE!!
I'm sick and tired of seeing "goth pallates" and "necessities for that 'punk look' " that are like 15-50 quid per product. Don't let marketing convince you you need 5 different powders that look the exact same just because they're for 'different parts of your face'. I don't care how crisp your eyeliner is Helen I care about it being a form of self expression that absolutely should not be paywalled.
No shame in splurging on cosmetics, if you like how that 50 quid foundation feels or you really do think that buying multiple different contours makes you like your looks more then dont let me or anybody else stop you. But A, buying too much and wasting it (expiry dates exist) is bad. B, making people think that they can't be goth, or emo or whatever else without those things is bad. And C, don't shame people for having different makeup preferences. I'll walk around with my messy eyeshadow and shaky eyeliner and ill look good doing it.
Brought to you by the goth idiot who likes commiting cosmetic sin.
Anyone who now reads fanfiction was into one or more of the following on YouTube before somebody blessed them with the knowledge it existed.
Gacha stories
Texting stories (lives on in the "group chat fic" genre)
Those videos where they just had a jpg of each character and put text over top of it
Cosplayer skits and livestreams (there were many but you know which specific channel I mean)
Gacha (again) but its not a story, just "x characters react to : the past/future/au"
Music videos where they put power point transitions between fanart
Edits, of varying quality and sometimes LONG (at least by today's standards, a 1 min yt short has nothing on a 15 min edit of the same 5 scenes)
There's a few that ik I'm missing but I cant remember, feel free to fill in the gaps.
If you say you did none of these, unless your yt time was monitored/non existent, you are a LIAR.
...not even an hour after I wrote this up I was nominated for a prize (an Easter egg >=3) by one of my teachers. TwT. I'm glad I still look sane from the outside.

Doesnât the Root of Evil stuff come from âHelluva Bossâ? Like at the end of âMurder Familyâ Martha said âMay the Root of Evil remain honoured as we continue thy work!â before attempting to burn Millie and Blitzo, and then at the top of the burning pyre was the Root of Evil symbol, which continued to pop up as graffiti in the background of both âHazbin Hotelâ and âHelluva Bossâ, and also in the âAddictâ music video, where at the beginning Angel makes the shape of the symbol with his body?
YEAHHH. I think we may have seen the same post that was somebody trying to find all the hints towards Roo. (Cannot remember their user for the life of me). I THINK (and this is a big maybe) that Roo was also mentioned in a livestream/ interview? Either way it'd be odd to add that many hints and not do anything plot wise. (Ep 1 of Helluva boss came out years ago so it's possible the original plan was to like the two together (ish) with this one character as like an overarching thing. But now I think there'd be copyright issues with crossing them over bc one is on yt for free and amazon has the rights to the other. )
The root of all evil as a character is deffinetly something that would happen in a LATER series though. Which is why I think we don't have much info other than easer eggs yet. So far, it's not too late to cut Roo as a character if there was a rush or cut off point for renewals because the audience have little to no information at all.
Its also possible that Roo is a character meant for helluva boss! And the hazbin parts are the extras. Only reason why I think Roo being more influential in Hazbin is the more likely one is because Helluva seems to focus in more on individual characters with changing antagonists. A larger force/villain like Roo doesn't really fit if you get me.
The theory that Roo is the one that made a deal with Alastor could also fit into either of the "alastor is a massive fraud" and "alastor is super tough". Little evidence for this one though other than the eye motif (most prominently connected to Roo through the eyes watching lucifer as he falls into hell in the opening. The angels are watching him before but when he's in hell it seems like something more sinister is already there, and wondering what the hell (ha) an angel is doing in its territory) Alastor seems to be watched by them in a few scenes and his sheild over the hotel in the finale has them.
Fraud Al would be tempted to make a deal with Roo because hey, who better to get some REAL power from. (Also if Al is a fraud it checks out that he'd be even more cautious of entities more powerful than him, so it'd take a BIG offer to get him to agree to anything surely?)
Not fraud Al would do it out of greed for more, always more. Its also possible that Roo made a deal with Al when he was alive and then he made a deal with Lilith/Eve later on (so Roo is the explanation for his power, rather than a secondary thought). Martha knows enough about Roo in HB e1 to have the symbol and be confident in hunting down demons, so maybe Roo is contactable in some way.
There are unrelated appearances of similar eyes though. Sir pentious for example, so it could be grasping at straws. But damn if I don't love taking a fistful of the most curly bendy straws and trying to figure out how to drink through them.
The eye motif tying together Roo and the angels is also visual storytelling brilliance imo. The two sides of the same coin are litteraly staring each other in the face.
There's a lot you can do with the Roo theories but my favourite is just trying to tie them back into the main plot and what do you know! I can fit it in with both Alastor versions! An absolute win! =3
That is the thing. See overlords started going missing shortly after Alastor entered Hell, but he didnât take the credit for a while, is what was said. Thatâs where that planning time would fit in, thinking on the minds he knew and whether making such an open claim could work. Most wouldnât have the audacity to make such a claim, true, but I donât think that could be put past Alastor.
Okay I get what you mean with that. Doesn't really explain the broadcasts but they could always be attributed to other randoms he found on the street? The whole point of radio is that you don't see anything after all and Al is pretty strong on the whole "will not be seen on camera" thing.
Now I've had more time to think on it both scenarios (despite being complete opposites) both do have snippets of evidence (mostly in subtext, mind) to support him being on either extreme of power scale. I'm not convinced the showrunners will go in the alastor is a fraud direction but I personally am starting to see it a little more.
I wasn't trying to be critical btw I've just entered analysis mode because what you said brought up some stuff i hadnt really considered, including Vox maybe dying, which opens a whole other thing. =)
Now I've got 2 separate scenarios to think about. To quote the ancient texts, "holy shit two cakes".
You are 100% right that Alastor is capable of having the audacity to pull something like that though. Even if he isn't a full fraud he definitely strikes me as somebody to make risky lies to get his own way. (I'm convinced he cheated in his game with Husk).
Thatâs the thing: Iâm not entirely sure that canon is against it, if we go solely by the text alone, in how it was he built up his power. He would still have a degree of real power, just not on the level he has claimed. Like how certain people in real life claimed to be multibillionaires until asked to show their tax records.
I get that! My main argument against it was Alastors "unclipped my wings" line. He's clearly alone in that scene so there's no need to big up his power level, but he makes it seem like he's actually even MORE powerful. Another point is how scared Husk is of him, but Husk would surely at least suspect that he was weaker. Husks comment about Al being on a leash seems to indicate that Husk knows Al is capable of more outside of this deal.
Also most of his character backstory dumps involve him rising to power VERY quickly. Fraudulent behaviour usually takes time, contacts and significant effort. It's also much more difficult to fake being powerful in a world where people are constantly trying to fight/overtake each other rather than a flippant lie about money.
Alastor displays behaviour indicative of somebody who thinks VERY highly of themselves. While he's clearly stressed about his deal, the level of confidence he has right up until the point that Adam hits him is unmatched.
Of course that could be because of his deal, but an ego like that doesn't develop over a short amount of time.
Don't get me wrong it could sill be plausible, but a few things would need to be explained or written off as holes in order to do so. Still love the idea and think it's worth asking the opinion of others who like to analyse, its a super interesting point and not one I've seen before! =3
Like I had a dream of Season 2 last night, and weirdly it seemed exactly like what Season 2 might actually be like in terms of reveals. Like it turned out Alastor was actually a fraud, he didnât kill all those overlords when he first got to Hell, but rather lied and said he did, and began attaining some power over the years with that rep, never a lot but enough to beat out smaller names, that being why he was so dependent on smaller deals like those he had Rosie keep an eye out for. He wasnât pacing himself but desperately trying to live up to the myth of the Radio Demon. And it turned out Husk had been more powerful than Alastor when he acquired his soul, and the day he did was just as stressful for Alastor as it was for Husk. Then Vox tried to have him join the Vees, Alastor turned him down since he didnât want to truth of his power being much lower than thought being found out, they got in a fight, and Alastor was legitimately hurt but managed to hide it and leave before Vox realised, just as he did with Adam. Alastor then encountered the real force responsible for those overlords going missing: Eve, the first woman. Basically in the world of âHazbinâ, before Heaven and Hell, there was simply Good and Evil, literal personifications, concepts given awareness. Good was the first to gain mass, becoming God, creating the angels and then Earth, Adam, Lilith, Eve, while Evil was left a simple force, until Lilith formed the apple of free will and gave it to Eve, infecting her with Evil, and so she became its embodiment, Godâs counterpart in evil. Who could be seen in the opening storybook in the first episode, Go(o)d a closed eye amongst clouds, Evil a red eye(s) and smile amongst darkness, I checked once I woke up to ensure that shot was real. So basically all descendants of hers, humanity, would have both good and evil within them: the reason Adam was in Heaven was that in spite of being a jerk, he never had Evil as a concept within him. So what neither Alastor or Eve would have known was that because of this, he was among the few that could ever kill her (Evil), and now that Niffty took him out of the picture, the only ones left who could do so are Lilith and Charlie, the only ones of human descent not to be infected with Evil on some level (angels not having the right stuff to make it work). Anyway my dream had it that Alastor and Lilith hadnât really met, but once Alastor made his deal with Eve, and she got herself a representative, Lilith felt it, and immediately fled to Heaven. And we would find this out since in Season 2, overlords started to go missing again as they once did before, only this time Alastor couldnât really claim credit. My dream ended before it was clear who had killed them, whether it was Eve trying to find a new rep (the process having dissolved the souls of most whose wills were not powerful enough to escape her, before she had found Alastor, who would have spent the seven years he was gone attempting to escape her mass, regain corporeality to act on Eveâs behalf), or whether it was Lilith trying to figure out which overlord was Eveâs rep and wipe them out, but it did feature Vox be killed later on in the season, and Valentino and Velvette had a beautiful mournful ballad in response to this, like with her being the source of all Evil in this world I could have seen Val apologists in real life saying all he did wasnât his fault because of her, what her influence did, which wouldnât be great, but the scene my mind came up with was (great). So anyway Alastorâs purpose would have been to prevent redemption within Hell from being possible, since it would ruin Eve. It seemed surprisingly plausible to canon as we know it: I was thoroughly impressed with my subconscious mind on waking up.
That was a roller coaster and I NEED other people to read it i love it. The bit about the personification of evil actually rings true because of the character of Roo! But I think most of the stuff around Roo is theory rather than cannon (pretty sure its short for root of all evil). Alastor being a fraud while not really on my radar as a potential theory would be HILLARIOUS so even though cannon points against it I'd totally read a fic on it. Your points on Lilith and Eve are quite interesting and while I'm not sure I've fully grasped the idea I am intrigued. Eve making the deal is certainly my preference rather than Lilith making the deal.
Also yes a mournful ballad would be amazing done by Val and Vel.
Your subconscious is clearly a beautiful thing , thank you for blessing my inbox. =3
Saw your comment on my Vox analysis and Yep! I'd love to say my bit on this!
In short, I agree mosly with what you've put here. Even of some of the details dont fit with how I perceived the character before it does all make perfect sense.
One key point I'd like to mention is you bringing up Vox being super insecure. Not only do I think this would be a major point in what drives him away from Alastor (trying to change too much/ affecting Alastor) but I think it would have gotten significantly worse after the 'breakup'. Losing that respected connection must have been hard on him and sort of contributes to why I think Val and Vel get away with their shit.
Your statements fit in well into another post I have scheduled about how there's a sweet spot of time between "experienced enough to survive the exterminations" and "dumb luck and not having been in hell for long (so there's no bad reputation to get you used as Angel bait)". The old timers don't respect the younger ones because they probably haven't had to struggle as much, fight their way to the top. The Vees thing is literally mind control/ coercion so it makes sense that the older overlords are pissy that they had to make proper deals for their souls but because of how tech addicted the new gen is the Vees had an easy in.
(It really is those damn phones, lol)
This applies tenfold for Alastor and Vox, since Alastor would have to work hard to build a reputation, not only in death but in life too. Having Vox come in and attempt to wow the masses with lots of flashing lights and pretty pictures probably pissed him off, with the tipping point being, as you say, when Vox tried to influence or 'upgrade' Alastor.
The bit about picking sides is very interesting too. Vox would surely be known for falsifying things or embellishing the truth since that's what gets viewers. Alastor must've built up a reputation of being at least somewhat more trustworthy as an information source, so even if Vox only pissed Al off a little Al could 100% get away with telling whatever side of the story he wanted, shown by how quickly he captivates Vox's viewers after being away for 7 YEARS. That was a long winded way of saying that Vox has a messed up reputation because of how much more they trust Alastor rather then just his own actions.
Them being a well known alliance is kind of a given for me, it seems obvious that what they had must've been A, meaningful and somewhat long term. And B, public or semi-public.
Alastor being the one to approach Vox seems like it's not only the most reasonable, but also most heart wrenching. It's entirely possible that Al wanted Vox's soul or a 'sidekick' type thing to, as you said, do his paperwork and boost his ego then after having a partnership decided he'd rather have a 'friend', then Vox pissed him off so much he can't even be bothered to off him. There has to be something stopping Alastor from just killing Vox and I dont think it's power levels or reputation. Alastor could not give less of a fuck about killing overlords for the fun of it, so having Al be the original instigator of their partnership adds layers.
The final(ish) thing I'd like to add here is that its confirmed that the 'final straw' was Vox asking Al to join his team. If they already had an alliance why was this a problem?
Vox wanted to branch out and have others (Val and Vel) involved. He was so focused on upgrading and bettering he didn't realise how negative they could be for his and Alastors reputation, so when he asked Al to join them after entering another partnership behind his back, Al completely dropped him. (Vox, punished for his hubris)
Of course it's entirely possible it happens very differently to this in the show but I cant see any Canon confirmed events that actively go against what you've said, and subtext/ voicing of the characters seems to support the main idea even if I've gone haywire with the specifics.
Ty for asking for my input! Vox is a fun character to talk about! =3.
(Also petition for a Vox and Al duet in a flashback because I want a parallel to stayed gone, and this show seems to progress individual characters/duos the best in song format)
Saw your comment abt having a long theory/headcanon abt Al and Vox's Alliance/friendship, so like, share with the class, I need to hear every single theory abt them, I'm so normal abt them
Well since you asked~: I think that they not only had an alliance but it was actually ALASTOR that formed it. I know a lot of people think Vox would be the one to approach Al, I donât think that would work. Vox would either be a nobody or a newcomer at the time they would meet. Al is arrogant and likes to be in control of things. He wouldnât hear out Vox. BUT other way around makes sense. Alastor could have used the reasoning of âIâm bored and wanna see if alliances are entertainingâ or (my theory) âThis guyâs power can boost my own and vice versaâŚplus, I donât want to do all the boring Overlord paperwork.â Because if the whole âAlastor became an Overlord due to technicalityâ thing is still canon, then he wouldnât have signed up for anything but his own goals. Vox was probably atleast kinda interested in Alastor and also saw the potential of teaming. They worked kinda well up until their individual flaws started to bother each other. And no, I donât think the main reason was: Old vs New. I think it was the conflicts underneath that issue that led to them becoming enemies. Actual conflicts: 1) Alastor is a mysterious loner who likes to keep things close to chest and Vox literally has cameras everywhere and wants to be on top of everything going on. Including with what his business partners are doing. 2) Alastor is arrogant and hates change, especially changing things for others (âPeople donât like my radio shows? Donât care! I do it for myself and those that do like itâ) and Vox constantly needing attention and validation due to his own insecurity (âIâm losing viewers?! Quick, what trending right now? Or how can I improve this to be better?â). And finally 3) They both have tempers and think theyâre usually in the right.
This also makes me think that it had to be Voxâs fault (Kinda) for the âbreakupâ. Alastor has been shown to be too stubborn to admit when heâs wrong and too tolerant of people doing things he shouldnât tolerate just because they either get on his good side or are useful to him (*cough* Mimzy *cough*). So he probably would tolerate (to a degree) Voxâs constant need for attention and validation and constant push for fame and change. But, Al also has strict lines in the sand he wonât stand and when theyâre crossed he snaps VERY aggressively (Husk touching a secretive matter when he is already pissed off in that hallway scene). So I can easily see Vox âimprovingâ (completely modernizing it or just putting things in there without permission) Alastorâs radio station as being enough to make Al destroy their alliance for good and make Vox look really bad. And this would also explain how the other Overlords see the Vees. Vox got a seat on their table by being buddy buddy with one of the most feared and THE most unpredictable Overlord. But if their partnership failing was seen as Alastor deeming the newcomer as a failure then the other Overlords would see Vox and the other Vees in a similar negative way (âSmug wannabes, who donât heed when theyâve been warned!â -Carmilla). Because despite Zestiel questioning Alastor and Carmillaâs snide remark, they still treat Alastor (Guy who disappeared for 7 YEARS and hasnât been doing much after killing other OVERLORDS they probably knew for a longer time) with a lot of respect. Zestiel still gives him proper greetings and more respectfully talks to him versus how he talks to Velvette. And Carmilla, still does welcome him back. He literally sits near the oldest out of all of them and the leader of the meeting. VS Carmilla acting like the Vees were either expected not to show or werenât even invited. Zestiel rudely interrupting Vel while sheâs talking, to point out how sheâs wrong without letting her finish. And again, Vel seems to assume the end of the table is for her, as if the Vees are usually seated at the very last spot available. And the Vees have been around for those 7 years gaining more power. Almost like the old-timers once gave the newcomers a chance at the table but they ruined it for themselves. (*cough* one of the most powerful and vicious overlords in a group took one of you under his wing and you somehow ended up destroying that powerful alliance and replacing it with a loud pimp and a rude brat. *cough*)
SOâŚThat my Ted-Talk. I basically do think Al and Vox were a famously good alliance at one point amongst the Overlords but when their flaws got on each otherâs nerves and they âbroke upâ (professionally/platonically), even the other Overlords simply around the two started to pick sides. I.E: Old-timers seeing the arrogance and foolishness of the young blood vs The Vees seeing a bunch of pompous fossils refusing to change for the better.
P.S. This makes me REALLY curious about Miss Zeezi since she obviously is from a more modern era (70s or 90s). Did she somehow get on the Vees bad side and that made the old-timers like her or something? Or did one of the Old guys do what Al and Vox did but make it work this time?
This was meant to be a short little joke style theory but it turned into a character analysis so the before cut is the main interesting point and the rest you can read if you want my take on Vox as a whole, and what I personally would do with him nest season.
The reason why Vox hates the past so much is because he has so many regrets/ kind of hates himself for getting into the situation he's in where every waking moment is either dealing with his public image, dealing with Vals tantrum/manipulative bs (Yes I think Vox is being manipulated by Val I believe in the "Val can secrete a date r*pe drug type substance in his saliva") OR endlessly trying to make power grabs to "prove himself". The other overlords DO NOT like this man, I reckon that upsets him more than he lets on (my theory as to why he sent Velvett to that meeting instead) .
Vox focuses on "upgrading" because facing his past and where he fucked up is his literal worst nightmare. It just so happens that part of his past that he regrets (Alastor, whether you think it was a failed romantic proposal or not it CLEARLY had a big affect) is somebody who embodies the past.
He moves away from past technology to move away from Alastor. He constantly upgrades himself/ his products because looking into his past is not something he wants to do.
Of course, that only worked for 7 years, now Al is back he's FORCED to face at least some of where he fucked up which is why when we see him, despite being an overlord, he looks incredibly pathetic. It's not that his power level is so much below Alastor, (though that could be a factor) but he's facing his worst nightmare every time the deer fucker shows up.
Alastor pisses him off sure, but what really gets him so twitchy and almost paranoid is what Alastor represents, his past.
This isnt trying to defend Vox or whatever but I do think that he's the least objectively evil out of the Vees. To me he's a "doesn't want to be evil he just wants recognition and oops, now you've got it through bad means" kind of guy who's been teamed up with a sleezy manipulative asshole who doesn't seem to have any motivation other than just enjoying being a creep. And Velvette, who while we haven't seen anything super bad yet, she clearly endorses Val (the love potion advert) and is also more abrasive than Vox.
Its even more so shown in the finale when Vox is super exited about something (it's Alastor dying, but still) and the other two are just completely uninterested until it benefits them.
I've seen some people saying that Vox and Val are the main and Velvette is the one that's off to the side out of the three but despite doing, whatever you want to call THAT in the finale with Val, Vox is more obviously the one who doesn't line up with the other two as well.
Vox probably wished he'd pursued a deal with Alastor rather than the Vees because then he'd get what he wants, to be recognised and respected. Even though Al does mostly command through fear there is respect for him among those who are more powerful than him, all save Lucifer of course. Vox on the other hand has basically no respect from anyone who he doesn't mind control, Velvette treats him like Val control and Val is CLEARLY using similar tactics that he would on one of his 'employees' on Vox. (Acting super whiny/ guilt to get what he wants, pushing his buttons to get a reaction after his initial outburst didn't piss Vox off enough, THE RED SALIVA). While the annoyance between the three seems to be just petty bullshit I'm certain that, at least on a subconscious level that Vox knows that if he hadn't got in with them that he'd be better off. VoxTech certainly seems the most lucrative out of what the three control. And the other two wouldn't exist if it warned for the tech HE supplies. (Vox is the real backbone of the Vees). This man clearly SO DESPERATELY wants attention and to be adored. Rather than hating him like I do with Val, it makes me pity him. And THATS the centre of all this, he is pitiful and so has MORE room for character development.
Its fully possible that he blames himself for fucking up whatever proposition he had for Alastor when in reality, Al is just an ass but Vox can't see that
Of course this is just my interpretation, but it'd make S2 where the Vees are confirmed to be a bigger focus much more interesting if Vox also gets this internal dilemma/ self doubt.
They could still feasibly swing in either direction of characyer development and I'd consider it well written and thats what makes him so interesting to me. He has so much potential for both good and for evil, also for general annoyance and comedy.
If it were up to me I'd do the megamind route of FINALLY letting the character win against their enemy, only to end up pissed off about it because the person they pinned all their problems on wasn't actually the cause of them, then swing in a completely different direction because this is hell and the feel good stories are reserved for characters who believe in therapy. Maybe a song where Vox prevails, only to then later reprise in a version where he loses his sense of self a little, maybe finally realises how little the other two care after he finally bests Alastor in something but it doesn't matter because he "didn't get any new territory or souls" or something along those lines. A second song could be Vox actually coming into his own more with a song all about him, nobody singing over or with him. It doesn't even have to redeem his character it would just be singling him out as Vox, not one of the Vees.
This ramble was brought to you by the powers of procrastination. Congrats on actually reading all that shit. (And lmk if you'd add anything in your opinion?) =3.

Sharing this submission bc I LOVED the au idea and seeing art for it has made my day.
May I present, Mother.

Export quality of this ainât great but I donât do complex rendering so who cares lmao.
Among all the redesigns I just wanted to imagine what a character with already decent design would look if the animation style was just that bit more complex. I like Rosie but she needed accessorising just a bit more.
Anyway hereâs the annotated version if you want to see why I chose to do what I did.

Visual representation of the process.
Havenât drawn in a while so I traced the basic shapes in black then went from there. Freaky demon proportions are more forgiving than human tho so I donât think I did too bad. =3
