Hazbin Hotel Thoughts - Tumblr Posts
Hazbin hotel when they were humans PART 1:
I just have some headcannons on what they looked like.
Angel dust "anthony"-
Okay, so we all know Angel couldn't have worn what he wears now in especially with the crime he was in. It's sad but true.
He definitely could've been a drag queen secretly at night. It's possible.
I think personally angel was a bottle blond. He didn't have blond hair.
He would've dressed like this:

And here's 1940s drag queens:

And honestly? I think he wasn't "angel dust" he was Anthony. Valentino made him angel dust. And he used angel dust to cope with himself. But we can see when he switches from Angel to Anthony. His accent comes out more, and he's more serious. Anthony uses angel to cope. And Angel uses Anthony to defend himself.
Alastor:
I believe alastor had curly hair he just slicked it back.
And I feel like he needs justice for his Edna moe bad Bob rn đđ
This is what I think his hair looked like when he slicked it back:

And this is how men in Louisiana or just men used to wear their hair and dressed back then in 1920s:

They all have the hats. Caine. And suits. Personally? I don't know why alastors suit and looks don't match with his story. They could've changed some things about him before they made a whole season.
A believe alastor had a small mustache or facial hair. Before he died.
Hazbin hotel cosplayers and Fandom rant.
Okay, so generally, every character almost every in hazbin hotel has wrist width looking waists. And the way some of yall see someone who isn't a twig and go judge them is mad fucking disrespectful.
Like, who the hell cares someone cosplaying a character isn't as thin as said character? They're having FUN. Fucking FUN and yall putting them down because their not 75 pounds is WILD.
That's why people suck so much some of yall are mad chronically online and judgmental cunts. Let people HAVE THEIR DAMN FUN AND SHUT THE FUCK UP.
I know damn well your mama or papa's didn't teach you to be a disrespectful ass person? Like Jesus christ đđ.
(Not all of you tho there as some sweet people in this fandom)
So I'm pretty sure lucifers real name was Samael. His original name before he left Heaven.
"Samael, from the amoraic period onward the major name of Satan in Judaism. The name first appears in the account of the theory of angels in the Ethiopic Book of Enoch 6, which includes the name, although not in the most important place, in the list of the leaders of the angels who rebelled against God."
Who knows I could be 1000% wrong but like imagine if the other archangels especially michael call him samael to rub it in his face(he's always the one that's seen as the asshole in a lot of media privacy because he's the angel of "an angelic warrior, fully armed with helmet, sword, and shield, " "He is considered a champion of justice, a healer of the sick, and the guardian of the Church." "mentions of his name are in third- and second-century-BC Jewish works, often but not always apocalyptic, where he is the chief of the angels and archangels")
And if michael is the "mentions of his name are in third- and second-century-BC Jewish works, often but not always apocalyptic, where he is the chief of the angels and archangels"
Adam was the leader of Exorcist. But was it michael who taught them how to attack?. Because as much a warrior adam in most media represent him as head strong. And impulsive, also very arrogant.
The Exorcists' fighting styles pointed out by Carmella carmine "out for blood" and NEVER focus on getting hurt only on hurting others.
And "Gabriel is the herald of visions, messenger of God and one of the angels of higher rank."
Even the seraphim who are the "in the highest rank in Christian angelology and in the fifth rank of ten in the Jewish angelic hierarchy." Are powerful, and yet NEITHER of them knew how someone got into heaven. Is it gabriel that tells Sera to not question it. Especially when she was younger so she wouldn't fall?
And Sera carried that to Emily?
(Im sorry I know most of this don't male any sense I just saw six angels point angelic weapons at lucifer and I wanna know which ones)

These are all archangels I am certain. And I looked up how many arch angels are there and it says Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Chamuel (Camael), Raphael, Jophiel, and Zadkiel
We all know the first two.
Michael- He is considered a champion of justice, a healer of the sick, and the guardian of the Church.
Gabriel-Gabriel is the herald of visions, messenger of God and one of the angels of higher rank.
Now the others
Uriel- archangel of wisdom, light, and the truth of God.
Chamuel (camael)-Archangel Chamuel's mission is to help bring peace to the world. The Archangel of Love
Raphael- Archangel Raphael is often called upon to help with physical healing. travelers, the blind, happy meetings, nurses, physicians, medical workers, matchmakers, Christian marriage, and Catholic studies.
Jophiel-Widely known as the angel of beauty, Jophiel represents the beauty of God, and he plays a great role in helping you see your inner beauty
Zadkiel- In Jewish mysticism and Christian Kabbalah, Zadkiel is associated with the classical planet Jupiter. The angel's position in the sephirot is fourth, which corresponds to Chesed "Kindness".
Are we gonna see this? Because their gods main seven angels. Maybe we'd see Azrael the angel of death?
(Sorry tho when I'm into something I do research for hours)
What your favorite hazbin hotel character says about you PT1:
Lucifer morningstar:You have daddy issues, huh? Your dad was a dead beat or a drunk, wasn't he? But he did love you, huh He was just stuck on his addiction to show you his love, wasn't he?
OR you're a monster fucker right?
Bonus if both.
Alastor: either A you love people that don't love you back. B, you love your mom. C is that... *sniff* *sniff* mommy issues? And not just mommy issues is that.. *sniff* *sniff* DADDY ISSUES TOO??? YOU GOT BOTH????
Charlie: you are optimistic and crushed by life wernt you? You love you dad and mom and want to show them you can be more then your sibling and you wanna be seen.
Vaggie:oldest child huh? Or the child that acted like the parent because yours were unbothered or hard workers to give you a life.
Angel dust: baby, I'm sorry it happened to you. It's not your fault. Also middle child?
Husk:Like old men? Desperately want someone to tell you it's alright? Afraid you're becoming your parents?
Nifty:like crazy characters, or she became your favorite when adam died?
Mimzy:You like female characters that get shitted on for doing NOTHING wrong, don't you?
Lucifers duckie size to him

The size is smaller so I made it a bit bigger because the ducks are behind him its roughly the size of his whole shoe

Lucifer is four and a half duckies tall
Me looking up who plays lucifer in hazbin Hotel one day:Oh where have I heard that name before? It's probably nothing.
Me getting into the newsies fandom again: WAIT WHAT.
Me looking up Jeremy Jordon: HE PLAYS WHO?
Me five seconds later:it explains why I love both characters so much.
EVE AND LILITH THEORY
Okay so we don't know why lilith went missing for seven years. But what I do know is this ain't lilith

Lilith hair is slicked back in every backstory we see of her

In the photos, we see that'd show if she has her horns or slick back hair, which is covered by hats or completely cut off.

But I know for sure in this scene right here before what probably was before lilith left it looked like Eve

And here's my theorys.
NUMBER ONE:LILITH IS CONTROLLED BY EVE. (Far fetched and wrong words but you'll see what I mean)
it could be their the same penny on different sides like in brittle bones Nicky number two when the devil and God are the same people

Like the lyrics "I'm mufasa and I am scar" it's like yin and yang

In goodness, theirs evil and in evil theirs goodness.
THEORY NUMBER 2:EVE AND LILITH MADE A DEAL.
Lilith was a famous woman in hell, not just because of being queen but also because of her singing. (Can't wait to see who is casted for her I hope it's someone who can hit high notes). Maybe lilith wanted to "get away" from everything but still wanted to be in touch and see what's going on hence all the eyes everywhere in hell.

And maybe Eve wanted a family. Cause adam does not seem like someone you'd wanna spend your whole (after)life with. Eve probably wanted someone who'd love her and by lucifer loving lilith and forgets things like where charlie was even though he's not a bad guy and says vaggie as maggie. Lucifer probably dissociated so much he forgot lilith looked different but still loved lilith who was infact Eve.
THEORY NUMBER 3:EVE IS DEAD
I don't think she made it into heaven, unlike Adam. Cause by what we've seen, no one knows why people go to heaven, not even a seraphim (the highest rank of angel right below the power god has but the second highest rank.)
THEORY NUMBER 4:THEY BOTH RAN AWAY
Powerful women becoming wives arc đ¤ˇââď¸
THEORY NUMBER 5:EVE HAS ALASTORS SOUL.
Look I don't know much but I do know eve does that whole pretty little liars smile and shushing the mouth thing. Who better to own alastors soul then someone who smiles no matter what?
THEORY NUMBER 6:ALASTOR KILLED EVE
Look, Eve was probably the first human to fall besides Well lilith who fell with lucifer. Eve could've been one of the higher overlords that alastor broadcasted killing.
THEORY NUMBER 7: LUTE IS EVE
Yknow I thought this one was a far stretched one. Theirs 3 clues. Lutes personality was like someone who could put up with Adam. And I know Adam made the exorcist. But vaggie didn't like Adam and before she fell she didn't like killing a demon.
Lute has the same personality as Adam but is way more serious then Adam is so Adam doesn't blow anything but she doesn't get mad when he gets close to doing it and when he did she stayed by his side agreeing with him.
Lute was personally distraught by Adam's death. And of course, she isn't like this with no one else. Why didn't the exorcist get distraught that they were obviously around him?
Everything I've seen and read has gone on the assumption that a deal is broken if a sinner who sold their soul is redeemed. But what if it isn't? What if whoever owned them in Hell still owns them?
That would make overlords so much more dangerous to have winners at their disposal. That also brings into question whether or not what they're forced to do by their souls' owners counts towards their status as a winner/sinner, since it wasn't by choice.
Actually? That makes a whole lot more sense considering Angel's struggle with his personal feelings alongside the abuse he deals with.
"He's a worthless sack of useless shit. I know because I am too."
Great now I'm picturing Angel and Pentious singing Loser Baby. I fucking love it.
Hot Hazbin take:
I still think it was a wasted opportunity in the second episode that it was Charlieâand only Charlieâwho continued to vouch for Sir Pentious and not Angel Dust.
Hear me out.
"It Starts With Sorry" starts right after we see Vox chewing out Pentious and calling him a failure, even going as far as telling him to off himself.
When I first watched the episode, I was 90% expecting a moment where Angel Dust (who had just outed Pentious as a mole) has a moment (even if it's just a blink-and-you-miss it change of expression) where he's like "Oh shit..." and clearly starts to see a bit of himself in Pentious, and thinks "maybe he and I aren't so different." And so he eventually (maybe a bit begrudgingly) sides with Charlie when she chooses to give him a second chance.
I mean, just minutes ago (in the same episode) we had the scene where Angel is listening to his voicemails from Valentino. They were clearly setting up parallels and yet... they didn't do anything with them for some reason?
I can't be the only one thinking this, right?
I have a little impression that alastor is with lilith or at least know where is she
Because i remenber that in epsiode 4 or 3 that green overlord said something like "the rumos said that you were meeting up with a angel while your absence" and I know lilith isn't a angel but somethings are there not of coincedence and with Husk saying "you are on a leash too" got me thinking of this
And also, alastor behavior with lucifer... I just think that he was just having fun, fucking lucifer's head a little, because why not?
This was meant to be a short little joke style theory but it turned into a character analysis so the before cut is the main interesting point and the rest you can read if you want my take on Vox as a whole, and what I personally would do with him nest season.
The reason why Vox hates the past so much is because he has so many regrets/ kind of hates himself for getting into the situation he's in where every waking moment is either dealing with his public image, dealing with Vals tantrum/manipulative bs (Yes I think Vox is being manipulated by Val I believe in the "Val can secrete a date r*pe drug type substance in his saliva") OR endlessly trying to make power grabs to "prove himself". The other overlords DO NOT like this man, I reckon that upsets him more than he lets on (my theory as to why he sent Velvett to that meeting instead) .
Vox focuses on "upgrading" because facing his past and where he fucked up is his literal worst nightmare. It just so happens that part of his past that he regrets (Alastor, whether you think it was a failed romantic proposal or not it CLEARLY had a big affect) is somebody who embodies the past.
He moves away from past technology to move away from Alastor. He constantly upgrades himself/ his products because looking into his past is not something he wants to do.
Of course, that only worked for 7 years, now Al is back he's FORCED to face at least some of where he fucked up which is why when we see him, despite being an overlord, he looks incredibly pathetic. It's not that his power level is so much below Alastor, (though that could be a factor) but he's facing his worst nightmare every time the deer fucker shows up.
Alastor pisses him off sure, but what really gets him so twitchy and almost paranoid is what Alastor represents, his past.
This isnt trying to defend Vox or whatever but I do think that he's the least objectively evil out of the Vees. To me he's a "doesn't want to be evil he just wants recognition and oops, now you've got it through bad means" kind of guy who's been teamed up with a sleezy manipulative asshole who doesn't seem to have any motivation other than just enjoying being a creep. And Velvette, who while we haven't seen anything super bad yet, she clearly endorses Val (the love potion advert) and is also more abrasive than Vox.
Its even more so shown in the finale when Vox is super exited about something (it's Alastor dying, but still) and the other two are just completely uninterested until it benefits them.
I've seen some people saying that Vox and Val are the main and Velvette is the one that's off to the side out of the three but despite doing, whatever you want to call THAT in the finale with Val, Vox is more obviously the one who doesn't line up with the other two as well.
Vox probably wished he'd pursued a deal with Alastor rather than the Vees because then he'd get what he wants, to be recognised and respected. Even though Al does mostly command through fear there is respect for him among those who are more powerful than him, all save Lucifer of course. Vox on the other hand has basically no respect from anyone who he doesn't mind control, Velvette treats him like Val control and Val is CLEARLY using similar tactics that he would on one of his 'employees' on Vox. (Acting super whiny/ guilt to get what he wants, pushing his buttons to get a reaction after his initial outburst didn't piss Vox off enough, THE RED SALIVA). While the annoyance between the three seems to be just petty bullshit I'm certain that, at least on a subconscious level that Vox knows that if he hadn't got in with them that he'd be better off. VoxTech certainly seems the most lucrative out of what the three control. And the other two wouldn't exist if it warned for the tech HE supplies. (Vox is the real backbone of the Vees). This man clearly SO DESPERATELY wants attention and to be adored. Rather than hating him like I do with Val, it makes me pity him. And THATS the centre of all this, he is pitiful and so has MORE room for character development.
Its fully possible that he blames himself for fucking up whatever proposition he had for Alastor when in reality, Al is just an ass but Vox can't see that
Of course this is just my interpretation, but it'd make S2 where the Vees are confirmed to be a bigger focus much more interesting if Vox also gets this internal dilemma/ self doubt.
They could still feasibly swing in either direction of characyer development and I'd consider it well written and thats what makes him so interesting to me. He has so much potential for both good and for evil, also for general annoyance and comedy.
If it were up to me I'd do the megamind route of FINALLY letting the character win against their enemy, only to end up pissed off about it because the person they pinned all their problems on wasn't actually the cause of them, then swing in a completely different direction because this is hell and the feel good stories are reserved for characters who believe in therapy. Maybe a song where Vox prevails, only to then later reprise in a version where he loses his sense of self a little, maybe finally realises how little the other two care after he finally bests Alastor in something but it doesn't matter because he "didn't get any new territory or souls" or something along those lines. A second song could be Vox actually coming into his own more with a song all about him, nobody singing over or with him. It doesn't even have to redeem his character it would just be singling him out as Vox, not one of the Vees.
This ramble was brought to you by the powers of procrastination. Congrats on actually reading all that shit. (And lmk if you'd add anything in your opinion?) =3.
Saw your comment on my Vox analysis and Yep! I'd love to say my bit on this!
In short, I agree mosly with what you've put here. Even of some of the details dont fit with how I perceived the character before it does all make perfect sense.
One key point I'd like to mention is you bringing up Vox being super insecure. Not only do I think this would be a major point in what drives him away from Alastor (trying to change too much/ affecting Alastor) but I think it would have gotten significantly worse after the 'breakup'. Losing that respected connection must have been hard on him and sort of contributes to why I think Val and Vel get away with their shit.
Your statements fit in well into another post I have scheduled about how there's a sweet spot of time between "experienced enough to survive the exterminations" and "dumb luck and not having been in hell for long (so there's no bad reputation to get you used as Angel bait)". The old timers don't respect the younger ones because they probably haven't had to struggle as much, fight their way to the top. The Vees thing is literally mind control/ coercion so it makes sense that the older overlords are pissy that they had to make proper deals for their souls but because of how tech addicted the new gen is the Vees had an easy in.
(It really is those damn phones, lol)
This applies tenfold for Alastor and Vox, since Alastor would have to work hard to build a reputation, not only in death but in life too. Having Vox come in and attempt to wow the masses with lots of flashing lights and pretty pictures probably pissed him off, with the tipping point being, as you say, when Vox tried to influence or 'upgrade' Alastor.
The bit about picking sides is very interesting too. Vox would surely be known for falsifying things or embellishing the truth since that's what gets viewers. Alastor must've built up a reputation of being at least somewhat more trustworthy as an information source, so even if Vox only pissed Al off a little Al could 100% get away with telling whatever side of the story he wanted, shown by how quickly he captivates Vox's viewers after being away for 7 YEARS. That was a long winded way of saying that Vox has a messed up reputation because of how much more they trust Alastor rather then just his own actions.
Them being a well known alliance is kind of a given for me, it seems obvious that what they had must've been A, meaningful and somewhat long term. And B, public or semi-public.
Alastor being the one to approach Vox seems like it's not only the most reasonable, but also most heart wrenching. It's entirely possible that Al wanted Vox's soul or a 'sidekick' type thing to, as you said, do his paperwork and boost his ego then after having a partnership decided he'd rather have a 'friend', then Vox pissed him off so much he can't even be bothered to off him. There has to be something stopping Alastor from just killing Vox and I dont think it's power levels or reputation. Alastor could not give less of a fuck about killing overlords for the fun of it, so having Al be the original instigator of their partnership adds layers.
The final(ish) thing I'd like to add here is that its confirmed that the 'final straw' was Vox asking Al to join his team. If they already had an alliance why was this a problem?
Vox wanted to branch out and have others (Val and Vel) involved. He was so focused on upgrading and bettering he didn't realise how negative they could be for his and Alastors reputation, so when he asked Al to join them after entering another partnership behind his back, Al completely dropped him. (Vox, punished for his hubris)
Of course it's entirely possible it happens very differently to this in the show but I cant see any Canon confirmed events that actively go against what you've said, and subtext/ voicing of the characters seems to support the main idea even if I've gone haywire with the specifics.
Ty for asking for my input! Vox is a fun character to talk about! =3.
(Also petition for a Vox and Al duet in a flashback because I want a parallel to stayed gone, and this show seems to progress individual characters/duos the best in song format)
Saw your comment abt having a long theory/headcanon abt Al and Vox's Alliance/friendship, so like, share with the class, I need to hear every single theory abt them, I'm so normal abt them
Well since you asked~: I think that they not only had an alliance but it was actually ALASTOR that formed it. I know a lot of people think Vox would be the one to approach Al, I donât think that would work. Vox would either be a nobody or a newcomer at the time they would meet. Al is arrogant and likes to be in control of things. He wouldnât hear out Vox. BUT other way around makes sense. Alastor could have used the reasoning of âIâm bored and wanna see if alliances are entertainingâ or (my theory) âThis guyâs power can boost my own and vice versaâŚplus, I donât want to do all the boring Overlord paperwork.â Because if the whole âAlastor became an Overlord due to technicalityâ thing is still canon, then he wouldnât have signed up for anything but his own goals. Vox was probably atleast kinda interested in Alastor and also saw the potential of teaming. They worked kinda well up until their individual flaws started to bother each other. And no, I donât think the main reason was: Old vs New. I think it was the conflicts underneath that issue that led to them becoming enemies. Actual conflicts: 1) Alastor is a mysterious loner who likes to keep things close to chest and Vox literally has cameras everywhere and wants to be on top of everything going on. Including with what his business partners are doing. 2) Alastor is arrogant and hates change, especially changing things for others (âPeople donât like my radio shows? Donât care! I do it for myself and those that do like itâ) and Vox constantly needing attention and validation due to his own insecurity (âIâm losing viewers?! Quick, what trending right now? Or how can I improve this to be better?â). And finally 3) They both have tempers and think theyâre usually in the right.
This also makes me think that it had to be Voxâs fault (Kinda) for the âbreakupâ. Alastor has been shown to be too stubborn to admit when heâs wrong and too tolerant of people doing things he shouldnât tolerate just because they either get on his good side or are useful to him (*cough* Mimzy *cough*). So he probably would tolerate (to a degree) Voxâs constant need for attention and validation and constant push for fame and change. But, Al also has strict lines in the sand he wonât stand and when theyâre crossed he snaps VERY aggressively (Husk touching a secretive matter when he is already pissed off in that hallway scene). So I can easily see Vox âimprovingâ (completely modernizing it or just putting things in there without permission) Alastorâs radio station as being enough to make Al destroy their alliance for good and make Vox look really bad. And this would also explain how the other Overlords see the Vees. Vox got a seat on their table by being buddy buddy with one of the most feared and THE most unpredictable Overlord. But if their partnership failing was seen as Alastor deeming the newcomer as a failure then the other Overlords would see Vox and the other Vees in a similar negative way (âSmug wannabes, who donât heed when theyâve been warned!â -Carmilla). Because despite Zestiel questioning Alastor and Carmillaâs snide remark, they still treat Alastor (Guy who disappeared for 7 YEARS and hasnât been doing much after killing other OVERLORDS they probably knew for a longer time) with a lot of respect. Zestiel still gives him proper greetings and more respectfully talks to him versus how he talks to Velvette. And Carmilla, still does welcome him back. He literally sits near the oldest out of all of them and the leader of the meeting. VS Carmilla acting like the Vees were either expected not to show or werenât even invited. Zestiel rudely interrupting Vel while sheâs talking, to point out how sheâs wrong without letting her finish. And again, Vel seems to assume the end of the table is for her, as if the Vees are usually seated at the very last spot available. And the Vees have been around for those 7 years gaining more power. Almost like the old-timers once gave the newcomers a chance at the table but they ruined it for themselves. (*cough* one of the most powerful and vicious overlords in a group took one of you under his wing and you somehow ended up destroying that powerful alliance and replacing it with a loud pimp and a rude brat. *cough*)
SOâŚThat my Ted-Talk. I basically do think Al and Vox were a famously good alliance at one point amongst the Overlords but when their flaws got on each otherâs nerves and they âbroke upâ (professionally/platonically), even the other Overlords simply around the two started to pick sides. I.E: Old-timers seeing the arrogance and foolishness of the young blood vs The Vees seeing a bunch of pompous fossils refusing to change for the better.
P.S. This makes me REALLY curious about Miss Zeezi since she obviously is from a more modern era (70s or 90s). Did she somehow get on the Vees bad side and that made the old-timers like her or something? Or did one of the Old guys do what Al and Vox did but make it work this time?
Warning â ď¸ Major Spoilers For Episode 8 Of Hazbin Hotel!!
Does Lute Love Adam? She Was So Angry When He Dead, She Cried To The Heavens! Legit Cried! Hell, She Was Always By His Side, Sharing His Views On Demons & Redemption. She Always Flew By His Side & Seemed To Care For Him, I Was(And Still Am) Proud Of Nifty For Killing Adam, Donât Get Me Wrong! But I Canât Help But Feel Bad For Lute⌠No Matter How Much Of A Bad Person She Was.
Why Does Adam Radiate Bisexual Energy? Like You Cannot Tell Me That THIS Man;

Is Straight As A Line.
Whoever Owns Alastors Soul Made Him A OverLord. Think About It:
We All Know Heâs âOh A Leashâ In Huskâs Words, And We All Know What Those Words Mean: Alastor Made A Deal, One That Traps Him, One That Chains Him, One He Canât Get Out Of. And Heâs A VERY POWERFUL Overlord? How? Why Would An OVERLORD Need Or Want To Make A Deal That Doesnât Benefit Them? That Instead, Shackles Them?
Do You Get Where Iâm Coming From???
Alastor Sold His Soul To Someone, For Power! And It HAS To Be Someone In A High Place, Like; A Sin, Lucifer, Lilith, Eve! HELL It Could Even Be Charlie.

And He Uses Fire??? Vivsiepop, You Make My Job Easier!
I Just Realized Some Things, And Bloody Hell Itâs Huge!
With Adam Dead & Gone, Heaven Lost Itâs Biggest Opposer To Letting Sinners Into Heaven. Heâs One Of The Only Two Angels Who So Openly Opposed To Charlieâs Dream. Without Him Thereâs Only Lute Left. Which Letâs Face It, Lute Wouldnât Openly Go Against Saraâs Word, Like Adam Did, Plus Luteâs Only One Angel, Whatâs Worse Is; Sheâs Not All That Special, She Doesnât Even Have A Real Rank, Sheâs Just Some Random Angel Who Got In Good With Adam & So, Was âAllowedâ To Do Things Others Couldnât.
Adamâs A Fallen Angel Now, Think About It; Do You Really Think The Holy Dagger Was The Thing That Killed Him? I Certainly Donât. But This Isnât About His Death Itâs About The Possibility That Adamâs A Fallen Angel. He Was A Angel And He Died In Sin, His Halo Is Broken, Lute Took It, Effectively Making Him Again; A Fallen Angel, This Also Keys Into The Hotel; If Charlie Can Redeem Him, I Think Heaven Would Be Even More Inclined To Help Her.
TLDR; Adamâs Dead + Luteâs Powerless = Sinnerâs Go To Heaven!
I Like To Call Vox âThe Video Demonâ, Just Because I Want To, I Think It Has A Nice Ring To It, Donât Ya Think? Just Look At HIM!
Heâs A Walking, Talking, Television That Uses VIDEO Cameras To Spy On Other Demons. He Even Says It Himself In âStayed Goneâ And I Quote âWhile He Hid In Radio, Weâve Pivoted To Video!â And Alastor Calls Him In The Same Song; Again I Quote âA Cloud Chasing, Medicare, Video Podcast.â
It Also Fits With His Whole Dynamic With Alastor; Radio And Video Have Are Different Types Of Entertainment But They Share Things In Common.

I Just Noticed Something, And It May Lead To Nowhere. But Unholy Shit!
Exterminators & Rose Share Feather Patterns!

The Same 4 Lines, The Same Feather Pattern, The Same Spot.
What The Fuck? Again, This Probably Wonât Go Anywhere, But Hazbin Hotel HAS Shown Us That Even The Little Things Count.
Long af rant about Velvette's old design and character as I share my art of her :D
Pilot Velvette/ Og Velvette gives extreme babydoll harley quinn vibes, which is a stark contrast from how she ended up being in the show. I like to imagine that something extreme happened to her, like a horrible breakup or betrayal, and she went all crazy. This is the version of her we see in the pilot. The Voxtagram stories seemed to lean into this, depicting her as more immature, bratty, and murderous. She also depended more on Vox and Val like she saw them more as father figures than co-workers. (Just a thought.) However, as she adapted more to the landscape of hell she became the Velvette in the show; A fashion icon girlboss who is much more independent and while not serious, much more mature than her pilot counterpart, and even the other Vees. They ditched her psycho vibe to replace it with something that made more sense to her character.
Something that I personally wonder is: Why was Velvette like this in the beginning if she was meant to focus on fashion? A puffy Lolita dress goes against the Vees whole idea of being up to date, so what was the original vision for her? People have complained about Velvette already having too much going on for her, being both the overlord of fashion, master of social media, backbone of the vees, selling a love potion, etc. If those ideas were already there, did they just think a crazy serial killer girl would be even more extra clutter to her personality?Â
A concept many fans I've talked with is if the Vees personalities in the pilot stayed. Val would be pretty much the same, but the other two were almost different characters. In the Voxtagram stories, Vox let Val beat him around, had a goofy pet, and seemed to care less about his public image to remain more villainous. Velvette I already discussed was extremely different, the only thing connecting her to our Velvette is her connection with the Vees and fashion. In this universe, would Velvette see Vox and Val as toxic dads who kept breaking up and getting back together again, instead of seeing them as equals and KEEPING THEM TOGETHER? it's a wild shift.Â
Essentially, Pilot Velvette acted more like a bratty little girl, while her show version acts more like a annoyed but controlling teen. We see her pilot look as her profile picture, so this 'phase' of hers is still canon. I know she already died as an adult, which is why I'm so curious as to why she originally acted this way. Did Viv think she would be a better contrast to Vox and Val like this? To be fair, a spoiled brat AND annoyed girlboss are both contrasts of their personalities, just two different approaches. Was their originally going to be a backstory for her as to why she was this way? or was she just crazy to BE manipulative? or you know, just liked murder while looking cute like Niffty. speaking of NifftyâŚ
I think Niffty is the most likely reason why they changed Velvette's design and personality. we already have a little crazy girl who admires 2 men she sees as older figures and enjoys murder for mysterious reasons. It mightv'e seemed a little counter-intuitive if there was 2 versions of the same character stereotype. Another reason they could've changed her is that she stands out more. If we're supposed to take Velvette as an overlord seriously, how are we supposed to do that when she leans back on the other two guys and looks like she's from a horror movie? Sure, I'm positive pilot Velvette could've been intimidating at times when she got legitimately frightening. however, this didn't seem like her vibe 95% of the time. It might've made her blend more into the background of the Vees than she practically already does. (Which is just a problem for female Vivzie characters but that's a whole separate rant.)
A headcanon of mine is that this was just her psycho little girl brat phase, and she is hella embarrassed over it. like a teen being embarrassed over their phases of when they were a kid. and Vox and Val would constantly piss her off by reminding her of it. That could lead to some fun banter in the future I would love to see as a reference to the pilot.Â
Anyways, sorry for the literal Essay I wrote here again, just a ton of over-analyzing which I'm best at. Personally, I do vibe with Velvette's new design and character for the show, I just cant help but think of why she used to be so different and arguably had the BIGGEST character shift from pilot to show In Hazbin Hotel.
