Yes This Exactly! They Didnt Lose Feelings For The Other, But Because Of Everything They Went Through,
Yes this exactly! They didnāt lose feelings for the other, but because of everything they went through, both believe that being with the otherās alter ego is just not meant to be and thus began showing more attention to the other and their growing feelings for them!
Oh wait are people non-ironically saying that the love square is reversed?
I mean, sure, it may seem like it. Marinette and Adrien may think it is. But let's get real:
Chat Noir didn't reject Ladybug intentionally; he literally misunderstood her
When Marinette says to Luka that "she doesn't hear any melody" for Adrien, Luka replies that "maybe there is too much noise around her to hear it properly." Which, very much is the case. Between her guilt for losing the Miracle Box and her growing feelings for Chat Noir, of course Marinette may think that she isn't in love with Adrien anymore. But she still acts as weird and clumsy as usual around him (totally not the way she is with Luka), which likely means that she still has feelings for him.
So if anything, the love square is disintegrating, or becoming a line or a circle or whatever you want to call it. But the reversing is not permanent.

I'm gonna be honest here:
The Mario movie actually looks really nice. Despite Illumination being known for the somewhat cheap animation it's got (which isn't necessarily bad mind you) you can tell that the studio actually put a lot of effort into the movie just from the trailer alone. You can see the difference in their budget and the passion that the animators have in just the two minutes alone like I was shocked.
The VAing is surprisingly good! Jack Black as Bowser threw me for a loop because I didn't even recognize him! It was only after he'd did the little chuckle and said:
"I do not."
That I caught his voice and realized that it was him. He's done an incredible job with the character and I can't wait to see him in the movie!!!
Chris Pratt on the other hand......
Look I don't know the actor very well other than he's in the Marvel and Jurassic World trilogy but as soon as I heard him talk and say:
"What is this place?"
I couldn't help but feel like he just.....didn't care about his role. It felt like it wasn't Mario at all. Even my mom who's not a fan of video games and only knows the basics of them due to me and my siblings talking to her about, had said that he just wasn't Mario and the voice didn't fit the character. (She also said the same thing when the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer was released and she saw his first design before it was fixed. She literally took one look and said "That's not Sonic.")
Like that says a lot.
Personally I think if Chris Pratt wants to make this work he'd actually have to put a little bit of effort into his role. Or else it just won't really work. That or the studio and Nintendo get a new VA who's more excited to voice Mario.
But other than the voice for our favorite red Italian plumber I gotta say that everything else looks and sounds really good!!! The scenery is phenomenal and stunning and colorful just like the video games and the character's designs look so good and well done!! Honestly kinda excited to see what the movies like when it comes out next year!!! (They better not massacre my boys because like Sonic they deserve some respect as well).
Anyways those are my personal thoughts.
Exactly!
Iām always somewhat skeptical when I hear an animated movie having a celebrity cast since youāre never really going to know what you will get out of their performance, especially if they havenāt really been voice acting before. It could range from amazing to awful.
How characters are written and animated also have an effect on how the audience will like a character. There have been actors (not just voice actors) who turned out to be really good when theyāre given a chance to work on a different show with different writers and such. There have also been actors who in their role you like their character but probably donāt care much for the performance of the actor and is mainly supported by what the writers and crew and do to help prop him up. I could go on some more with other different scenarios but I hope you understand what I mean.
Everything looks and sounds amazing so far! Also with what little we have heard from the actual dialogue from the main cast, Iām hoping that later on we will be shown how their performances are an amazing addition to the movie and not something weād have to at the very least begrudgingly accept. I know there has been a lot of controversy around Chris Prattās casting as Mario, and given how long the movie has been in production and how long ago Pratt was announced as Mario, I think itās too late to change the role of Mario to another actor, but you never know. I believe we have come to begrudgingly accept all this and hoped a little for at least a stellar first impression for the main lead.
Keeping in Chris Prattās performances in other animated roles which I enjoyed, I felt that the role of Mario, if he truly wishes to perform as him and the crew believes he is a suitable fit for him, demands more than what Pratt has done from he previous animated roles. The Mario voices Iāve heard in the dubbed trailers for different languages for the most have had a better impression on the audience on their takes for Mario in the movie (a lot of them do sound really good!)
While Iām judging based on the actorsā previous works Iām familiar with, we still havenāt really heard from Charlie Day on his take on Luigi, which whom Iām assuming will have the same accent as Mario in this movie.
And we still havenāt heard how Princess Peach with sound like. Iām afraid itās going to be another āpopular actress sounds very similar to herself while playing the girl character in the movie and doesnāt really get into characterā role that Iāve seen in other movies. I know others are afraid for Mario in this movie turning out this way too with Chris Pratt.
For the other actors, I hope Toad and Bowser will continue sounding as amazing as they did in this trailer and I hope not to be disappointed, especially since we only heard a couple of lines from them.
From what Iāve heard from Mario in this movie, Iām really hoping that that is going to be the worst he will sound and that he will sound a whole lot better later on, because his first line wasnāt bad and I kind of liked it, and his second line in the trailer does sound like heās going for a Brooklyn accent, so maybe he and Luigi will be the Italian American plumbers from Brooklyn (or as Iām guessing in this movie, New Donk City), following from what Iāve heard was their original origin story. While the little we hear of Mario unfortunately didnāt leave as grand of an impression as say the little of Bowserās dialogue we heard in the trailer, initially hearing Mario speak in the trailer, I didnāt think it was bad! I actually kind of liked it but I am hoping for more, which hopefully will be delivered in the final version of the movie. While understanding Mario and Luigiās characters, I need to hear more from all of the main cast before I form a more solid opinion on their voices.
Iām hoping the Mario Brothersā voices and the other unheard character voices wonāt be subpar or laughable or leaving us with yearning for more. Iām hoping the voices wonāt turn out to be worst part of the movie, especially for Mario, he needs to sound amazing or at least impress even casual viewers like myself enough to actually think his take on the character is (really) good, not leave everyone feeling āyeah, whatever, fine, itās passable, letās get on with this.ā
I really want this movie to turn out well, it looks amazing! So Iām trying to stay optimistic (despite hearing how some of the other dubs have handled their casting choices, I wish I could also watch those movies and understand what theyāre saying) and hoping for the best. Right now everything looks amazing aside from the maybe less than ideal cast. It was probably not their best first foot forward. Hopefully that will change soon. Iām really hoping I will get to really liking all the other cast membersā voices soon!
If youāre angry about Chris Pratt replacing Charles Martinet.
But not angry about Anya Taylor-Joy replacing Jen Taylor and Samantha Kelly.
And not angry about Jack Black replacing Kenneth W. James.
And not angry about Keegan-Michael Key replacing Samantha Kelly.
Donāt pretend it has anything to do with the original voice actors not getting hired for the movie. Just be honest and say itās because you donāt like Chris Pratt. Youāre allowed to not like certain actors.Ā
And sure, there are things to not like about Pratt.
In light of recent conversations mingling in the Transformers fandom on hereā¦
He
definitely
has
a
personality.
Donāt get me wrong, love the show and love the characters, but thereās no denying that the writing and plot wasnāt always 100%, and thatās widely accepted for the most part. Butā¦conveying that he has no personalityā¦the fuck?
I think some of his large defining qualities is his selflessnessā¦
ā¦his occasionally overly optimistic outlook on the those who have fallen into disarrayā¦
ā¦his determination and drive to end struggleā¦
ā¦the intense concern he holds for others above himselfā¦
Again, donāt get me wrong, Iām absolutely frothing at the mouth in excitement for this guyā¦
ā¦because I got into the fandom through this guyā¦
But this guy, definitely has a personality. Perhaps a little unhealthily emotionally absent whether out of Primely necessity or not, but he definitely has definitive qualities that make him, him.
Tldr: Tfp Optimus Prime has a personality, heās just a very emotionally constipated owl because he probably thinks that his burdens are his to deal with alone and he feels responsible. Look at Orion Pax ffs, thatās literally young Optimus Primeā¦FIGHT ME?
