Full disclosure, Dasira is my favorite TMA ship. But like, specifically because of the weird never fully explained nature of it because at some point I realized I hc Daisy as Aromantic, and you don’t need a romance element for them to be perfect. You realize that Basira was forced to kill the love of her life without it being explicit and that’s very important to me.

To anyone who has ever written an image description for one of my illustrations I just want to say thank you so much, literally nothing makes my day like reading them.

Because somebody wove my story like a spider spins a web, and now my soul is bound to some one I have never met.

A very long time coming but I truly adore Martin Blackwood.

I would like to present for your consideration, The Crystals Shop Employees, but in an AU where they team up and start hunting rituals in an attempt to figure out what the fuck is happening to them. Or, Jane pressures Oliver into checking out some weird shit, and they run into Gertrude. Chaos ensues. I just like making buddy comedies that shouldn’t exist out of media with a lot of plot lines, especially when they don’t make enough jokes about the Crystal and Tarot shop where the worm monster and sleepy grim reaper work.

Jane Prentiss:

-she is still very much Corruption alined, however rather than immediately going full Flesh Hive, she talks to Oliver and sort of manages to hold it back a little. So she’s still infected and it’s spreading, but she’s holding it at bay just enough. She wears bandages and thick clothes to cover where her skin is getting eaten. She does go full Flesh Hive on occasion but only when she calls upon The Crawling Rot. She is closer to a full blown avatar here, and still does all of her usual things, including blacking out for long periods of time and trapping Martin in his apartment. And leads the attack on the institute like usual.

Oliver Banks:

-man is very tired. He mentions to Jane in passing that he went to the Magnus Institute, and she, who had also gone, latches into it and Oliver, dragging him against his will to start looking into this stuff, they probably end up visiting the Church of the Divine Host at some point. The two of them meet Gertrude exactly once, and she tells them just enough to get both of them very worried. Martin Blackwood makes a trip to the crystal shop at ask about Jane at some point and Oliver doesn’t say anything useful, Martin leaves with an unfavorable impression of the him. After Gertrude dies and Jane starts slipping into full Flesh Hive more often, Jane gets the idea to attack the Magnus Institute directly, and tells Oliver to stay behind. Oliver starts seeing the Black Tendrils around Jane when she starts explaining her plan, her last words to him are “live a good life Oliver Banks”

I watched Our Flag Means Death. I love him. He strikes my two favorite genres of person “blonde queer covered in blood” and “perfectly normal guy who is also just...so very crazy” we stan character development here

My human Perry the Platypus. I decided he’s one of the Dad’s brothers because he had uncle vibes, his civilian form looks kinda similar to Ferb, and he also doesn’t talk much, it’s a family trait. I don’t have much besides that, but it does turn out that my “I can add funky lines to things” phase has also extended to making cool patterns on clothing.

When your whole squad watches different genres of detective movies, you all end up with very different secret agents.

Stranger shit is afoot, plus we have the glorious missing scene of Jon, at some point, going up to Tim to ask about a creepy calliope and Tim just going “be cool, be cool, just casually mention a circus without making it seem like you’re obsessed to your boss, you’ve got this Tim” which is hilarious

A special congratulations to the end of MAG 21 for the mental image of Martin Blackwood, fresh off 13 days of hell, throwing open the door to Jon’s office while he was recording. A+. I have many many thoughts about Martin, but I also have a lot of episodes to get through, so I’ll save them for later. Anyway, Jane’s back!

Day 20 of doing a doodle for every episode of the Magnus archives until I get bored. Wow we’re officially 1/10th of the way through the series, as well as half way through season one. Anyway it’s the return of everyone’s favorite cannibal priest, by the time I post this I should also have the full version of this posted where I have the doodle from part one and this one on the same image.

Day 19 of doing a little doodle for every episode of the Magnus archives until I get bored. Rip to father Edwin Burroughs, you stood no chance after getting your shit wrecked by not one, not two, but at least six fear gods, honestly you did about as well as one could expect. By my count you have The Web, The Flesh, The Spiral, The Eye, The Desolation, and The Strangers, all working overtime to fuck up this poor man’s life. No one was going to do well in that situation.

Oh and this is a two part episode and a two part doodle, so I’ll post a combination version tomorrow after I post the second half.

I forgot how much “weird meat shit” happens this early and we haven’t even gotten to The Killing Floor yet. I also realize I’ve never just drawn meat before for some reason? And I don’t know why because I had a ton of fun doing the muscle textures on this.

I put way more effort into this one than most of them, but I definitely feel like I’m improving in my designs and executions as this series goes on, so that’s pretty cool, I can’t wait to see what my doodles look like if I manage to get through a couple seasons. Also, Jared the meat man.

Heck yeah baby, Carlos Vittery, the poor sap who busted a spider egg sack in the woods when he was six and then proceeded to spend the rest of his life making such logical decisions as, moving out of an apartment solely because there were spiders in his garden, kicking a television, getting and then getting rid of a cat, and getting killed by spiders. Icon behavior.
