Had A Dream That I Was On My Computer Doing Some Dumb Homework Again And Mother Nature Saw Me And She

Had a dream that I was on my computer doing some dumb homework again and mother nature saw me and she said what are you doing why do you spend so much time on that device so i said homework and she said but have you looked at the stars tonight?

No of course not and she was so sad she said i made so many stars and if you stop spending so much time inside you will see my stars and if you look long enough you will see that i drew shapes in the stars. And i either modeled creatures off of those shapes or the shapes off of creatures i cant remember. But anyway if you find someone older who listened when they were younger they will tell you how the stars came to be or what the shapes are doing.

And then i made fireflies because i thought stars on earth would be cool. But don’t even get me started on bugs because i made so many!!! And often they are singing do you hear them singing? And of course they’re not singing /for/ you because that would be silly but maybe if you pay enough attention you’ll notice them singing /with/ you. And then you’ll stop smushing them stop doing that. Their lives are so short compared to yours leave them alone.

And if you follow the bugs around you’ll see the flowers that i used to color earth in. And they smell so good especially when they’ve just bloomed. So smell them now please and then follow their faces. They are looking at the sun do you see her do you feel her. She is keeping you so warm do you understand? She is single-handedly keeping everything on earth warm. And if you sit with her she will warm a part of you you didn’t even know was cold! If you just sit and listen to the bugs and smell the flowers and look around. Something inside of you will change every time

I asked her why she was telling me this and she smiled and said you were sad. You were so sad and so i thought maybe you’d forgotten all of the pretty things i made. I thought maybe you’d forgotten about the ocean and the forest and the birds and your cat that is at home missing you. I thought maybe you’d forgotten that your dog’s favorite toy is a squeaky green jellyfish which doesn’t look anything like a jellyfish really but which imitates the grass and the brainless and the mouse all at the same time. I thought you’d forgotten how when you get home he will hear you coming through the door and run to it with his jellyfish so that you will chase him for it. And i made him like that! And i made you the kind of person who would see him with it and smile big and run with him for hours. I made you happy be happy please. When you can. And everything i’ve done will help you with that so yknow. Take care be happy stop worrying.

There’s an interview with Lemony Snicket in which he talks about how Jewish A Series of Unfortunate Events is and I’m always thinking about it.

This isn’t propaganda per se but do you see in the parent one how the narrator line stays close to the parent line even though it’s gone. The idea of the line and the closeness is still there!! Ughskdbs

SET SEVEN - ROUND THREE - MATCH ONE

Stańczyk by Jan Matejko. A man in a rich red jester outfit sits in a chair. His pants and shoes are all one piece, and a slightly darker red than the top. The bottom appears to be velvet and the top is satin. The top appears to have a cape wrapped around his shoulders and would be fastened with buttons at the front, but they are all undone except the top one.The sleeves under the cape have a diagonal quilt texture. He is wearing a three pointed jester hat, with a bell on each point of the side points and a single row of bells leading to the top of the top point. His hands are interlaced, and he is slouched down in the chair, feet flung carelessly forward. His expression is despondent. The chair he is sitting in is a dark wood, with unclear carvings in the arms and crossboards. A table sits by the man's right side, covered in a brocaded cloth and with two pieces of paper on top. The top paper is crumpled, and the bottom paper has a round seal on it. A green curtain is in the background behind the table. Underneath the chair and the man's feet is a rug on a wooden floor, that has a discarded stick with red emblem on it. On the right side, in the background, is a red tinted scene of a number of people interacting, untroubled.
Closeness Lines Over Time by Olivia de Recat. Two columns of 5 labelled line drawings. All lines are described from left to right. The first column from top down: "Best Friend - Childhood". Beneath it are two wavy lines, the top one wavier. They stay very close for the first quarter before slowly starting to separate, and about halfway across they go in different directions. Right near the end they come together again, only to move away from each other again. "Best Friend - College". The two lines start out far apart and then slowly arc to meet in the middle. They stay nearly touching for a short period, then bubble outward, then return to nearly touch again before splitting back up. "Sibling". Two parallel wavy lines. The bottom one starts slightly after the top one. They come together and meet and then part, and repeat four times. The fifth time they come together, they stay nearly touching and parallel until they both stop. "Parent". The bottom line is perfectly straight. The top line starts nearly a quarter of the way from the left edge and parallels until at a third of the way along where it balloons upward. It then curves back down, nearly touches the bottom line, and then takes a small bump back up. It then continues straight on, well past where the first line ends. "First Love". Both lines start out separated, then curve towards each other, where they touch. Bending slightly downward, they stay pressed together until they slowly separate. About a third of the way from the light, the bottom one arcs downward again, and they continue away from each other. Second column from top down: "Friend with benefits". Two lines start parallel not separated by a great deal, and then the top line slowly curves down to meet the bottom line. After that it curves back upward, and the bottom line follows it for a short while, slowly separates more and more, before abruptly turning and moving downward, away from the top line. "Someone You Meet at the Wrong Time, Then Re-Meet at the Right one". Two straight lines are diagonally angled so they meet at about a third of the way from the left edge. They then balloon upward, then curve back down to almost create a circle. Once they meet again, the two lines stay tightly parallel until they both stop. "One Night Stand." The two lines make a flattened X. "Therapist." The bottom line stays completely straight. The top line is also mostly straught, but has a v to nearly touch the bottom line at about an eighth of the way from the left side. At about a third from the left side, the top line reaches down to touch the bottom line again, this time staying parallel for a time. It then returns to the old level, has another single v to touch the bottom line again at a quarter of the way from the right line, and then straight on again. "Dog". The top line stays straight until it curves to touch the second line, not long after the second line begins. They then stay parallel, almost touching, until the bottom line abruptly ends. The top line then curves up and away from the level of the second line. The bottom right corner has the name of the piece written, along with the artist's last name, and the date, Jan.2019.

"Stańczyk" (1862 - Jan Matejko) / "Closeness Lines Over Time" (2019 - Olivia de Recat)

STAŃCZYK: this piece pictures a jester contemplating the political disasters befalling the country, presumably as the court is celebrating in the other rooms. it takes place when the polish nobility was essentially selling out the territories to neighbouring regimes, ignorant of the fact they were issuing a permission for colonisation and oppression of their own people. while it’s context is extremely specific, it remains to feel relevant considering the actions of those in power even in the modern society. i think the climate anxiety has a similar vibe; feeling like you’re isolated in your care while the higher ups are celebrating their own greed. (anonymous)

CLOSENESS LINES OVER TIME: when i first saw it it gave me shrimp emotions & also i want to cry everytime i look at the sibling one. and the dog one. and the parent one. etc etc. (whimsicalpdf)

("Stańczyk" or "Stańczyk during a ball at the court of Queen Bona in the face of the loss of Smolensk" is an oil on canvas painting by Jan Matejko. It measures 120 cm × 88 cm (47 in × 35 in) and is held by the Warsaw National Museum.

"Closeness Lines Over Time" is a piece by Olivia de Recat.)
