Yamaguchi Tadashi x GN Reader
Genre(s): Fluff, friends to lovers, high school crushes
A/N: This is the second quick fic I've written after a long time, so I hope you guys like it! There's not much to say other than... I love writing for the sweet guy characters :D (Also, I'm going back through and editing stuff, cuz I was WAY TOO TIRED to be writing this in one sitting.)

Yamaguchi was never one to hide anything from Tsukishima, mainly because the blonde male would figure it out eventually, but Yamaguchi has a secret.
To be more specific... A secret crush!
Tsukishima, not noticing anything wrong with Yamaguchi, wasn't bothering the poor boy about his crush or his new found shyness towards you. The green haired boy continued to keep this a secret from his best friend, knowing that Tsukki would either push him to confess to you, or he'd tease him about how shy he was around you!
As the boys were warming up on the court, preparing for a practice match, you happened to pass by the open doors of the gym. You were delivering papers from your club to a joint club, but you couldn't help but take a detour to see the boys on the court. Specifically, you were looking for a particular boy on the court...
Your secret crush!
You decided that your club didn't have to know every little detail about your personal life, no matter how good of friends you all were to each other. So... You decided to keep the fact that you have a crush on Yamaguchi a secret. Besides, your members had no right to know! They're always digging into your personal life and ask you when you're going to get a boyfriend.
Oh, how you wished that Yamaguchi would be your boyfriend.
As you continued to make your way to the joint club, you realized that you could stall for time by saying you got caught up in talking to the club's leader, or you could say you fell on your way back to your clubroom and you had to go to the nurse and get a bandage.
No, that'd be absolutely crazy! You couldn't make up a lie just so you could stand in front of the open gym doors to watch a bunch of sweaty, stinky guys practicing volleyball. Well, you weren't intending to watch all of them.
The point is, you are not gonna come up with an excuse on why you weren't back in the clubroom in a reasonable time. You just couldn't do that...
You finally dropped off the papers at the joint clubroom's classroom, making sure to give the leader a greeting before heading back the way you came. You were sad thinking about how you wouldn't be able to watch Yamaguchi for just a little bit, but you have standards! You weren't going to purposely make your club members wait for you to come back. They'd gripe for a whole week if they found out why you weren't back in the classroom.
As you walked by the (still) open gym doors, you decided that admiring the boys (Yamaguchi) volleyball skills for a minute or two wouldn't hurt. In fact, your members would probably be impressed that you could take the time to appreciate the volleyball team honing their skills, rather than actively playing a game.
You went closer to the doors and received a polite head nod from Kiyoko, the team's manager. You spoke a small "hello" and proceeded to watch the boys (Yamaguchi) passing, tossing, serving, and spiking volleyballs left and right. Once you had your fill (you had to force yourself to leave), you gave a small wave to Kiyoko before walking closer to the outer area.
You thought walking down a couple of stairs would be an easy task, and your members would be none the wiser, but it turned out to be quite difficult...
On account that a volleyball smacked the back of your head, causing you to lose balance and fall to your knees. You groaned as you rubbed the back of your head in little attempt to remedy the situation, but the damage was already done.
You heard the sounds of fast feet running to your aid, or to simply see what had happened. You couldn't bear to face the embarrassment waiting for you at the door, so you continued to rub the back of your head, and hopefully the boys (not just Yamaguchi) would go away. You heard two loud boys screaming about how much trouble someone would be in with the captain, you heard a quiet discussion between Kiyoko and another player, and you heard someone walking slowly up to you.
You heard a frantic apology from the person right behind you, saying "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hit you!" a couple of times over again. You rushed to stand up so you could run far away from this and never come back, but you were turned around gently by the same person that was apologizing like his life depended on it.
Yamaguchi.
You couldn't believe that you were standing this close to your secret crush, and it seemed like the shy boy quieted down because he stopped apologizing as soon as you turned around. You both stared at each other as Yamaguchi continued to hold onto your shoulders, as if you were gonna disappear if he didn't. It felt like an eternity before you heard someone loudly clearing their throat behind your crush.
You both looked at the captain of the team, wondering what else was going to happen next. Daichi, the captain, had already dismissed the others and went up to the both of you, shaking his head. He patted the 1st year boy on the shoulder, grabbing so he could pull him closer.
"Yamaguchi, you're not in trouble, but since you hurt her head, I'm tasking you with taking them to the nurse's office." The younger boy nodded as he shyly looked back at you, letting you lead the way.

"Your head is fine, but if it's still throbbing, make sure to put this ice pack on it for a couple of minutes." The nurse told you as you and Yamaguchi made your way out of the room. You both gave your goodbyes and slowly walk back to the gym. You both didn't say much until you were halfway to the outer area. Yamaguchi, trying to sound cool and confident, quickly initiated the conversation.
"I'm really sorry about your head! I really didn't know that you were out there. I hope your head feels better soon." With the little confidence you had left in you, you nodded your head and looked at Yamaguchi closely.
"So you were aiming to hit the volleyball out the door?" The boy's cheeks blushed widely as he tried to give you a better explanation of what he was doing, but you only laughed at how panicked he was. He stopped in his tracks as you laughed at his attempts to save face, and you couldn't help but hear what he said next.
"You have a really pretty laugh! Just like you... I mean, you're not a pretty laugh, I mean that you're pretty- Oh my god, what am I saying!" You stared at him as he rambled more and more and kept digging his grave, but you couldn't help but smile. He thought you were pretty? You!? We're you dreaming?
You touched his upper back gently and rubbed his shoulder in appreciation. He blushed some more and only calmed down when you told him that you wanted his phone number. You really didn't know what came over you, but you were finally taking charge! You were actually talking to your crush, and he wasn't running away like you thought he would!
You eventually headed back to your clubroom, only to be met with a smack in the back by your members, asking you where you had been for so long. You explained what happened, excluding the parts where you basically confessed to your crush, and they all stopped bothering you about it.
You packed up to go home after your activities were over, and you stepped out into the cool breeze, feeling as though you were a new person (you weren't, but that didn't stop your high). You walked towards the bike racks to find your bike and go home, but something in the distance caught your eye.
Yamaguchi walked quickly towards your area, handing you a slip of paper. You were confused but remembered that he promised to give you his number later. He bowed and said one last thing.
"Text me whenever you want to and I'll answer as soon as I can! I'll try not to keep you waiting," he turned to make sure no one was behind him before he ran back to the gym.
"Be safe! C-Call me when you get home." And he was gone.

As the weeks passed by, you and Yamaguchi became closer than ever, and you quickly confessed your feelings to him because you were confident that he'd still be your friend even if he wasn't interested. Surprisingly (only to you), he said he liked you too, and you both began to take your relationship at a slow pace. The both of you were happy with the outcome!
But as Yamaguchi kept getting on his phone to message you, Tuskishuma started to notice how happy his best friend was staring at his phone... The blonde found out almost immediately that the green haired boy was messaging a special someone...
A... SECRET CRUSH?!
Tsukishima would never let that kind of info pass by him, and Yamaguchi certainly wouldn't keep a secret like that from him! There's no way.
But there is a way.
Tsukishima just has to ask. Act cool about it. If he makes it a big thing, Yamaguchi's gonna make it a bigger thing.
So, he asks.
"Tadashi,"
"Yes, Tsukki?"
"Is there something you're hiding from me?"
"W-Why would I hide anything from you?"
"Well, you're looking way too happy to be playing a regular old phone game. You must be messaging someone."
"I... I don't know what you're talking about, Tsukki!"
"..."
"..."
"You're dating someone, aren't you?"
"M-mind your business!"
That confirmed everything to Tsukishima. And just like Yamaguchi knew he would, the tall blonde started teasing him every chance he got, and he hadn't even met you yet!
Seriously...
...
*Bonus*
"Yama?"
"Yes?"
"Did you tell Tsukishima about us?"
"No... Why do you ask..."
"He walked up to me before class started and said, 'I know about you and Yamaguchi' and then he just walked off! What a guy..."
"Yeah... He should just mind his own business!"
"Yeah!"

A/N: Thanks for reading! I stayed up until 11 p.m. just to finish this. I probably would've never finished this if I didn't stay up. Hope you all have better motivation than I do. :D

Neuvillette x Immortal! G/N Reader
Genre: Fluff, immortals/long living characters, eternal lovers, married couple, established relationship
A/N: I was scrolling through Tumblr and got inspired to write this from ONLY seeing Neuvillette's name. Anyways, I wrote this while listening to Malice Mizer (Gardenia, Au Revoir, and Baroque are my current favorites), so I hope y'all enjoy <3

You and Neuvillette have always loved each other, but you both often had doubts on if you'd be together forever. Especially given the fact that your husband is a dragon and you were cursed with immortality. And these doubts weren't because you didn't love each other or because you both didn't think the other person didn't love you. No, the doubts were because you both thought you'd get bored of each other.
You practically knew Neuvillette from inside and out, and you assumed that your husband knew the same about you. If you knew someone that well, you'd probably get tired of them after a while. Especially after being with them for 300 years.
You were cursed with immortality 100 years before you met your equally immortal lover, at the lovely age of 20. It wasn't because you did something wrong like break a contract, or even sell your soul to a witch and they gave you immortality. You were cursed because your homegrown garden had grown over to your neighbor's side of the fence.
Your neighbor happened to be a mage, or wizard, or whatever, and had a tendency to hold grudges. So, they sent you a letter that passed on the curse of immortality to anyone who read it. As soon as you were told this by said mage, wizard, or whatever they were, you burned the note to completion, and you never looked back.
You met Neuvillette when you first moved to Fontaine. You would hear all sorts of rumors about the man at court, and you often found everyone's words to be true. The rumors couldn't be more wrong, because you were confronted by a man that was nothing like what the whispered words said.
Neuvillette treated you as his equal, and when you became closer, a confidant. He never spoke badly about anyone, even the criminals he would sentence to a life in prison. He was always curious about how humans acted, and he couldn't be further from the image that you conjured in your head.
He was kind to anyone or anything he passed by, and even when he was faced with the public in court, he would make the trials as fair as he could. He never wanted to declare someone guilty unless he really believed they deserved it, and he was always consistent with his judgments. It did not matter how much he loved you, because if you ever did something that was against the law, he would make his conclusions based on facts. Never on emotions.
And as you saw the way he grew before your eyes, you couldn't help but feel entranced. Every time he spoke to you, you always wondered if he felt the exact same. He never alluded to his feelings for anyone unless he said how he felt, which wasn't often. You didn't notice your love for him until he finally spoke to you about his feelings.
"Dear, I do not know how to confess this to you, but I was told by the Melusines that my feelings for you were known as 'love'. Do you, perhaps, 'love' me as well?"
To say that you were shocked was an understatement. Regardless, you both explored the meaning of "love" with one another, and you both fell hard. Neuvillette couldn't be away from you for even a second, and he always whispered his desires to protect and love you forever in his sleep. You couldn't help but share the sentiment with him.
Now, the only things that had changed were Neuvillette's clinginess, and he seemed more sure and determined to make Fontaine a better place. For you, you finally stopped getting distracted at the thought of coming home to your husband and spending every waking second with him, and you decided that finding new hobbies to try wouldn't hurt you. Despite the changes, you both were still in love with each other. It was just more subtle, and not as needy.

Neuvillette was busy studying cases from the last couple of years, so you took it upon yourself to make a list of things you needed to buy from the market. You made a list of what to get, and you were on your merry way to the center of Fontaine.
When you finally arrived, you noticed all of the things that they had exclusively had at the markets. They had mini sculptures of the Hydro Archon, Furina, who you knew well. There were other knick knacks across the tables as well, but you only bought the things you intended to.
That was until you came across the cutest thing: a mini dragon sculpture. It was a beautiful sea blue, and it looked very similar to your husband's dragon form. You immediately picked it up and bought it. You quickly made your way back home and swiftly found the appropriate materials to wrap the tiny dragon in. You intended to gift it to Neuvillette as soon as he got home, and knowing him, he'd probably love anything you gave him.
You patiently waited for him to get home, and he did not disappoint you. As he walked through the door, undressing himself from his court robes, you stood in front of him with your gift waiting in your hands. He turned to give you a small smile as he leaned down to softly kiss you. As he pulled away, he noticed your hands moving the object in your hands impatiently, and he continued to smile at your antics.
You practically shoved the gift into his chest when he finally gestured for the item. He looked to you for guidance, and you only nodded, gesturing that he unwrapped your gift. He did so, and his smile turned into confusion. You laughed before giving him an explanation.
"I saw this at the market today... It reminded me of you." Neuvillette's eyes softened as he pulled you into his chest. You inhaled his scent and pulled him into you for a while longer. You both gladly stood there with one another, and you only broke apart when your husband had to continue getting changed.
And as you retired for the night, you felt a sense of calm wash over you both. When it didn't seem to go away, you spoke up.
"Neuvi, do you ever wonder if we'll drift apart?" You asked out of curiosity, but you regretted it when you heard his response.
"Well, of course I wonder. It is hard not to think about things like that." Even though you've always felt the same, you felt your heart crack the tiniest bit. It was one thing to assume that your partner felt that way, but it was another to actually hear them say it. But what happened next didn't surprise you in the least.
"But, if we've been with each other for this long, it seems that fate has destined us to be together for as long as possible." This eased your heart and it pulled you back into reality. Every couple, no matter how long they've been together, has thought about the possibility of breaking off, and it shouldn't be different for you both. You leaned back against the headboard as your husband leaned his head on top of yours. You stayed like that for a while, and without any warning, you kissed Neuvillette on the lips gently. He smiled.
"Well, I guess you are right. Even when we should be bored of each other, we're always together. You are the love of my life, and I'm glad I had a chance to meet you." You smiled up at the man in front of you, trying not to completely fall apart in tears. The long haired man nudged his forehead against yours, causing you to look into his eyes with the same intensity as his.
"I am glad that I make you as happy as you make me. Let us always be here. Let us continue to be here in this moment, in this decade, in this century, and hopefully for eternity. I love you so." You couldn't hold back anymore tears as you hid yourself in Neuvillette's chest. He stroked your hair as you continued to cry your eyes out in his (now) soiled night shirt.
When you finally managed to lift your eyes from your husband's chest, you heard the calmest noise ever. The one thing that could lull you to sleep if you weren't with Neuvillette:
Rain.
It was raining outside, and despite how calming it was, you knew what it really meant. You gazed up at your lover's face, but his eyes never looked sad or upset. He looked calm, and you could see a flicker of happiness beneath the sea of his dark blue eyes. You concluded that these were his happy tears, showing you every part of his love for you.
And you would get to experience every ounce of his love for the rest of your days.
*Bonus*
Neuvillette arrives at the Palais Mermonia with a small smile on his face, and the Melusines take notice.
Sedene (Melusine): "What are you smiling about~"
Neuvillette: "I don't know if I should tell you."
Sedene: "Come on! It's rare for anyone other than the Melusines to see you smile!"
Neuvillette lets out a relaxing sigh, turning to the Melusine.
Neuvillette: "I didn't think that I would feel this happy since I confessed my love to my partner, but I have been proven wrong."
He sighs once more before giving into Sedene's demands.
Neuvillette: "I am smiling because my lover for eternity has told me that they loved me, and that they are glad to have met me."
Before the curious Melusine could question Neuvillette more, he walked into his office, feeling the weight of the world fall off his shoulders. He would continue to fall in love with you over and over again, until fate had decided to take you both away.

Kaminari Denki x G/N Reader
Genre: Established relationship, fluff, study date
A/N: I thought I would write a short oneshot of a random MHA character just so I wasn't too sucked into writing my series, so I hope y'all enjoy!

Kaminari isn't dumb, but he's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. He is often praised for wearing himself out completely with his quirk โ sending huge electric shock waves through any object โ but he's also heavily made fun of for the side effects. His brain goes haywire, and he's nothing more than a dumb potato. His friends make fun of him the most in that state.
But you always take care of him. Even when Bakugou is angrily yelling at your boyfriend to, "Stop being a dimwit", you always manage to pull Kaminari far enough to allow him some rest. He often doesn't remember most of it because he's either spacing out, or his brain has been turned to mush. But no matter what, you always make it your duty to keep him on track.
So, you asked your boyfriend to study with you.
"Honey, sugar, lemon, sweetie pie," you called out to him, hoping to make him cringe with your overuse of silly nicknames. But when you finally reached him, he had a huge smile on his face. No disgust in sight. You sighed, sitting on the floor in front of the couch, right beside him. You both sat in silence for only a few seconds before you asked him the big question.
"Denki, I know you're not doing too hot on your school work," Kaminari was ready to deny your statement until you put your hand up, telling him to wait. "So, I propose that we study together!"
Kaminari shook his head, crossing his arms and closing his eyes in defiance. He really didn't like studying. You put on your brightest smile and tried to convince him.
"I'll bring your favorite snacks and drinks, and after we're done, we can watch a movie or your favorite show." You clasped your hands together and leaned in closer to his face. His eyes were still closed, but he could feel your breathing on his cheek.
"It'll be like a study date!"
Kaminari opened one of his eyes, clearly excited, but not wanting to give into you so easily. He cleared his throat and finally spoke up.
"All of my favorite snacks and drinks?" He said in a whisper, suspicious of your promises. You nodded, wishing that he would stop resisting the idea of studying.
"Any movie or TV show? You'll watch anything I wanna watch?" You nodded again, already feeling tired from this interaction. He was really starting to get on your nerves. He leaned in with both of his eyes open, assessing the situation.
"So, what's in it for you!"
"I'm leaving."
"No, no, no, WAIT!" Kaminari bolted from the floor as you slowly made your way back to your room. He caught up to you easily, turning you around in his arms. His face was inches away from yours as he looked into your eyes to see if you were really angry. You tried to hold your composure, but seeing your boyfriend's reaction to you leaving almost made you crack. You couldn't help but let a small smile reach your lips.
After what felt like an eternity, the gold haired boy finally spoke.
"Do you really wanna help me study? Do you really wanna do a study date?" You couldn't hold back your laugh as you saw the boy's sad eyes look back at you. You reached up to pat his head, which he gladly received. You nodded once more, and you gave him a response.
"Yes! Why would I be asking you if I didn't actually wanna help you study?" He yelped in excitement and shook you back and forth like a little kid. Things like, "Thank you," and "Oh my gosh!" were the only words you could comprehend before you felt your butt hit the ground. You looked up to find a seething Bakugou holding back an excited Kaminari.
"Dunce face, your mouth is running all over the place!" Your boyfriend's face lit up as he stared back at you. You gave the angry boy behind him a disappointed look, only to receive the same booming voice.
"Don't look at me like that, smart face! You're the one making him jump for joy like a dog!" You laughed out, only making Kaminari's face light up even more. Bakugou loudly huffed and dropped the happy boy into the floor with you.
"You both are a bunch of fools. That's it, we're all meeting in the common area!" You and Kaminari continued to laugh as Bakugou gathered the rest of the Bakusquad by their shirts and dragged them to the living room. He finally dragged you both to the couch and pulled out his notebooks, ready to teach.

After your successful study session came to a close, you all went your separate ways. As your other friends left, you heard quiet whispers from Mina and Kirishima while Sero still had a confused look on his face. You laughed and turned back to gather your things, only to see an unusually calm Kaminari. He stared at you as if you were royalty, causing you to look away with a blush on your face.
When you looked back, he was still smiling at you like you were perfection, and you couldn't be embarrassed anymore.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Your boyfriend only shrugged, keeping his face on you and your movements.
"Because you're really pretty," he sighed out, leaning his head on one of his propped up hands. You decided to look at anything else but your boyfriend's handsome face, but he continued.
"And you always help me out. Even when Kacchan wouldn't explain how to do something again, you were always helping everyone else, showing us all how to do the problems again." You turned back to the gold haired boy as he stared back at you with no embarrassment in his eyes.
"Bakugou would kill you if he heard you call him that."
"Then I'll die happy." You rolled your eyes and laughed at the audacity of the boy. You gathered your things and pointed at him with your laughter filling the room.
"Okay, weirdo!" Kaminari smiled as you walked away from him to put your things away. His bubble only popped when he heard a quiet snicker behind him.
"You're damn right! Dunce face is a weirdo!" Kaminari's smile disappeared as he felt Bakugou lean closer to him. "And y'know what I do to weirdos, don't you, dunce face?"
Kaminari tried to get up and run to safety, but the boy was pulled back by the blonde.
"Get ready to charge all of the cooking equipment, cuz I'm gonna be cooking for a while!"
And that's how Kaminari ended up in your room again, tucked into bed as you let his mushed brain get back to normal.
*Bonus*
You: "So... Do you wanna tell me what happened last night?"
Kaminari: "... Bakugou made me charge all of the cooking equipment..."
You: "And why did he do that?"
Kaminari: "Because I'm a weirdo."
You: "No! It was because you called him 'Kacchan'!"
Kaminari: "Tomato, tamato, let's just say that I did both things!"
You: "Well, you are a weirdo."
Kaminari: "I'm your weirdo~"
You: "Where's Bakugou when you need him?"
Kaminari: "Please don't get him-"

Genshin Men x Reader
Warning(s): Mentions of spiders/killing spiders
Genre: Fluff, crack fic
A/N: I thought about how different Genshin Impact characters would react to seeing a spider and I couldn't stop myself from writing this!
Also, sorry in advance, but I'm not gonna write for Mika. I don't know ANYTHING about him, and I don't feel like reading up on him just to make a small headcanon about him

The Men of Genshin (individually) hear you scream in horror. When they run into the room, assuming you're in trouble, they see you huddled in a corner while shakily pointing at the other side of the room...
"THERE'S A SPIDER! KILL IT! KILL IT!"
With no other choice but to confront your source of terror, they...

You might think that Kaeya was at least a little bit afraid of bugs like everyone else, but he's the Calvary Captain... He's had to camp out in the wilderness and deal with all sorts of critters. He's worried about bigger things than a tiny bug.
He walks up to where the spider is and bravely steps on it. He looks back at you with a teasing smile, trying to contain his laughter.
"Do you feel better now?" He asks you as you cross your arms in mock frustration.
"It was a really scary spider..."
Kaeya walks over to the corner you hid in and pats your head.
"I'm sure it was."

Diluc was really busy with his work when he heard your scream. He didn't even bother letting one of his maids check on you because he was already sprinting to check on you. When he found you on the floor, pointing to the spider, he calmed down and tensed up at the same time. For one, he was relieved to see that you weren't in any actual danger... But he was also not prepared to kill a spider.
Despite his body's response, he pushed forward and stepped on the spider. He immediately went to your side to comfort you.
"Are you alright? You probably gave everyone in the mansion a fright." (Yes, he was the one in fright, but he's not gonna admit that).
You smiled, giving his shoulder a squeeze. It was as if you were comforting him.
"Thanks for checking on me."
"Of course." He gave a small smile back, and you both went back to your work.

Venti is either completely sober or absolutely drunk. THERE'S NO IN BETWEEN! So let's imagine two different scenarios...
Completely sober Venti will come to your rescue by getting a small piece of paper and a cup. He'd trap the spider in the cup and move the spider outside. Once he comes back inside, he'll squat down in front of you and bat his eyes at you teasingly. You'd pat his head and give him a grateful smile.
"Thanks for rescuing me..." He'd smile back and give you a cheeky smile of his own.
"I'll always come to your rescue!" He'd bat his eyes and look back at you with a finger on his chin.
"... But it'll cost you a smooch!"
But when you're dealing with an almost blackout drunk Venti... He's not rescuing anyone.
In fact, he's hiding behind you, pushing you to kill the spider.
"KILL IT WITH FIRE! IT'S GONNA EAT ME!" He's screaming his head off. You'll get so tired of it, you'll, somehow, temporarily get over your fears and kill the spider yourself. You look back at Venti as he's experiencing a full on meltdown, and you try to comfort him as best as you can.
"... Why did you kill that spider!? We could've kept it and named it Barbatos Jr.! Whyyyy!!!"
At this point, you were done with his behavior and decided to just let him be.
๐ผ๐ก๐๐๐๐ค
He's on the case! He gently picks up the spider and cups it in his hands. He's not even afraid to touch the spider. He walks back in the room and nods in your direction.
"The spider will not be a problem anymore. I've let it free outside." He tries his best to give you a small smile to comfort you. Before you can get another word in, though, he's already headed back to his lab and he just... continues to work...
Before you lose all hope of hearing another word of comfort from him, he reappears in the room's doorway. He crouches in front of you and puts his hand on your head. He's not sure what else to do, but it seems to make you feel better, so he just stays like that for a bit.
"Please, do try to not scream next time. I thought you were hurt."
"I can't promise anything."
๐๐๐ฏ๐ค๐ง
He also believes in not hurting the spider, so he tries his best to get rid of the spider for you. He doesn't really understand why you're scared of it, but he doesn't have time to question it. If you're scared, he has to do something about it!
When he manages to get rid of it, he immediately comforts you.
"Are you okay? Did spider do something that scare you?" You shake your head in shame, which ends up making Razor confused. But he's learned not to question things like this, at least, not in the moment. He'll ask about it later.
For now, he'll give you a tight hug and hope that he can comfort you with his actions instead of his words.
๐ฝ๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ
Normally, Bennett doesn't have luck killing spiders for you, but he tries his best. If he does manage to kill it, you are forever in his debt.
You only do this because he just spent the last ten minutes attempting to kill the spider, and you feared for your life while he was doing so. He turns to see your head peeping into the doorway with the bedroom door slightly closed. Were you trying to lock him in the room if he failed?!?
"Sorry I took so long, but I got the spider!" His smile drops slightly as he sees you slowly backing away into the hallway.
"You... You can come back in the room..." You come back into the room and give him a grateful hug, trying your best not to laugh at the pout on his face.
"Thank you for using a bit of your luck to kill the spider..." The smile he once had reappears on his face, and he hugs you back.
"I wish it was luck. I'd say it was more determination than that-"
"Just take the compliment!"

~Kira~
I thought that I'd be living a crazy life that involved going on intense adventures and being undercover. Instead, I'm being forcibly confined in my Da Da's villain base with a doctor, a man capable of creating portals, and the only psychopath that's close to my age. All I want to do is be able to roam the streets and interact with any random person that's willing to listen to me. Yโknow if I were All For One, I'd think a bit more logically by allowing my daughter to go out more that way she doesn't decide to turn on me later for a sliver of freedom, but that's just me.
Even when Da Da does allow me to go out, I have to be supervised by one or more of his less recognizable villain followers so I don't run off. I wish that everyone in the base could understand why I'm frustrated, but they're all either fully grown adults who have chosen to make bad choices, or they're (Tomura) traumatized and brainwashed to follow whatever Da Da says. The only way that I can vent my frustration is to violently practice my quirks until I pass outโฆ
Or I talk to Tomura.
I walk into the room, ignoring the โDo Not Enter!!โ sign sloppily taped to his bedroom door, and sat next to the 19 year old as he click-clacks away on his video game. I lean my head on his shoulder and watch him play a little bit before speaking.
โTomuโฆ you ever wanna leave the base for hours on end sometimes? Y'know, just for fun?โ Tomura shakes his head, not bothering to pause his game to look at my expression.
โI used to when I was younger, but I've gotten used to it here. I like not being forced outside all the time.โ He responded, using his head to nudge my head in acknowledgement. I pursed my lips in disagreement, muttering, โAt least you get to leave.โ
The boy finally paused his game to give a pointed look in my direction. He dropped his controller carelessly on the floor, propping himself on his bed. Tomura patted a spot that allowed us to lay in the bed comfortably. Sighing, he wrapped an arm around my shoulders and spoke quietly to avoid anyone eavesdropping.
โI get what you're feeling, but ya kinda have to accept that Sensei's not gonna let you leave.โ
โDo you think Da Da would let me leave if there was a fire?โ Tomura tapped a gloved finger against his chin as if he were actually thinking about it. Finally coming to an answer, he smiled at me.
โEven if a tsunami came through and hit your room, he probably wouldn't even let you call for help.โ I slapped Tomuraโs arm as he laughed uncontrollably. I tried to calm him down as he coughed up a lung.
In a way, his statement felt as genuine as his laughter. I laughed a little to keep from ruining the mood, but he could tell that I was hurt. He shook his head to deny his response, trying to ease me.
โI'm sure he'll eventually let you run around out in the real world. I'm sure he's just doing this to protect youโฆโ He said as he rubbed my arm reassuringly.
I did not feel reassured.
But I smiled regardless, thankful for the encouragement. Tomura wasn't usually an encouraging person because he had no use for it, but he always knew what would cheer me up. I leaned against the headboard, closing my eyes to come up with what I wanted to really say. I allowed my quirk to dig through the boyโs head and projected a message.
โThanks. You always know how to cheer me up, don't you?โ
His cheeks grew red as he turned away from me, trying not to show me his expressions. I huffed, sliding off of his messy bed and back into the floor. He slid into the floor as well, pressing โcontinueโ on his game, playing it once more. He lost himself in his fictional world, allowing me to leave his room to enter my own fictional world.
โ
To my dismay, I had read my small collection of books I hid under my bed, which meant I couldn't lose track of time until I was supposed to train again. This was the only thing I had to keep me from losing my mind, even if some of the books were about how sleeping can heal your body, or how plants survive. Some of my stories were about love, loss, and happiness, and I'd do anything to get that backโฆ
I have to at least ask so I have a chance to gather more books. If I can't have complete freedom, I'd gladly take a whole library of books in exchange.
I hid my books back under my bed and walked out of my room. I made a small lock and key and attached it to my door, locking it to the best of my ability. I didn't want anyone to look through my room without my knowledge, but it would probably happen regardless of what I did.
I sauntered towards Kurogiri, the only person in the room, putting on my most nonchalant face. If Da Da was sleeping or busy with The Doctor, then I'd be good to leave on Kurogiriโs permission. It'd be a lot less trouble to go through him if I could.
I took a calm breath, giving a small smile to the man who could create portals. I can do thisโฆ the worst he can say is that I can't leave and I'll never be able to leave as long as I'm under All For One's ruleโฆ
I definitely don't want that response.
โKurogiri.โ
โWhat is it, Kira?โ I couldn't help but start sweating as I was confronted with this actual conversation. I thought I'd be smooth about it, and this would already be over with.
But this is actually terrifying. Asking if I can leave is always terrifying.
โIs it okay if I leave to go to a store. I just want to buy a book.โ Kurogiri gave me a blank expression (at least what I assumed was a blank expression), thinking about what to say. He looked straight into my eyes, causing sweat to roll down the side of my face. As nervous as I was to receive an answer, I was still on the edge of my seat, ready for anything to happen.
Kurogiri stared at me for what felt like an eternity before he went back to polishing liquor glasses.
โAll For One says you should be back before your training starts. He sent for Victor to escort you on your outing.โ I nodded, ready to head towards the door before Kurogiri spoke again.
โHe states that you are only allowed to roam in the shopping center close to the base. You should have enough time to see or buy something and be back before training.โ I stopped in my tracks, allowing myself to inhale deeply, focusing all of my energy into my creation quirk.
I thought carefully about every little detail on the coins and bills I would be using to buy my items, and I felt a part of me drain into making these pieces of money. I created thousands of yenโs worth of money, and stuffed it in my shortโs pockets. I thanked the portal man and waited for Victor outside of the building.
I could hear heavy breathing as Victor ran to my side, hunching over as soon as he made it to me. He eventually slowed his breathing to be less unstable, but he was still out of his element. We nodded to each other โ his being less coordinated than mine โ and we both began to walk to the shopping center.
โ
I would never get over the sight of actual people walking around and going into their desired stores to buy everyday items. I especially wouldn't get tired of seeing all of the glowing store signs and the colorful displays outside the shops. I always dreamed of walking outside whenever I wanted and just looking inside the stores just to look. I wouldn't have a reason for going in, but it'd be nice to be able to do so.
Victor led the way after I told him what I was intending on buying, leaving me no chance to sight see if I wanted to catch up to him. He slipped by random passers-by effortlessly while I kept bumping into people, apologizing left and right for the intrusion. He flowed smoothly through the large crowds while I struggled to keep up with the amount of people. If only I was allowed out more, I'd be able to handle this, easy peasy.
We eventually met in front of an unfamiliar store. It must be a new store. I bravely walk in โ back and shoulders straight โ as I walk to where I see the wall of books.
This store had more than books it seemed. There was only a big shelf of books, and everything I saw ranged from tiny clothes to glow in the dark pens. I had never seen such a diverse room before. It filled me up with adrenaline, causing me to pick up a random book and scan through it almost immediately. I couldn't stop myself. I was just too excited.
In my excitement, I came up with a master plan to keep my book trips from being too frequent: I was going to scan all of the books and store them in my photographic memory. I wouldn't even have to flip through every page of the books in order to gain the full story. I could just commit the titles to memory and I'd have the full book. Victor couldn't be less bothered, standing with a foot propped against the wall. He tapped to an infrequent beat as I expertly studied all of the titles.
I finished faster than I thought, ensuring that I wouldn't be caught. I pick up a random book, glancing at the first page, finding it interesting enough to purchase. I found another book alongside it, choosing to buy them both to avoid leaving empty handed. I looked back at Victor to find him glaring at the other side of the room. I tried to find the cause of his irritation, but he grabbed my arm and pulled me to the front of the store.
I found myself in front of a small woman with long tiger claws and sabertooth teeth, gently tapping away at the cashierโs device. She looked up at me and gave me a beautiful smile, muttering a small, โWelcome to Everything Palace, how are you doing today?โ I froze, only moving to give her the books and to pull out my money. I wasn't used to talking to someone soโฆ nice. Even Tomura had his moments of teenage angst and disrespect towards me.
I nodded my head and gave a small, โI'm fine,โ with my best attempt at a smile. The woman gave Victor a side glance, making me worried that he was coming off weird toward the store staff. I attempted to excuse his standoffish behavior.
โThat's my brother. He doesn't like shopping at all, so he's not in the best mood.โ The woman nodded in understanding, giving me another beautiful smile as she gave me the price for my books. I gave her the exact change and she handed me my bag. As we walked off, I heard the cashier say, โHave a nice day.โ I turned around and gave her a small head bow.
We pushed through the glass doors, springing into the calm yet bustling sidewalks of the shopping center, Victor already taking off to head to the base. I pulled him back, receiving a questioning look from the unrecognizable villain. I spoke loud enough for him to hear me through the chatter of more passers-by.
โCan we go to a store that has a hair brush or something? I have extra moneyโฆโ Victor nodded, warning me that we only had an hour left before I was needed for training. I acknowledged his message and we walked through more busy crowds towards another unfamiliar store.
โ
The wind picked up quickly as we hurried out of the store back to the quieter walkways. I exhaled, wanting nothing more than to wander to more shops or areas to release my stress levels. I seriously did not want to leave. Even with all of the discomfort of bumping into different people and such, I would rather remain here than in another place.
I was gonna go crazy if I went back to the base. I was gonna do something crazyโฆ
I let myself fall behind as Victor continued to stride back to the lair. I couldn't move away from the front of the store. I couldn't even push myself to move back into the store. I just continued to stand there, waiting for something to happen โ for someone to take me away to a better place than where I was living.
But as I continued to stand here, I realized that my โbodyguardโ hadn't moved at all. He was staring at me from a distance, urging me to come with him, but I wasn't thinking straight.
And because I wasn't thinking straight, I started running.
Oh my God, I was running!
Running away from Victor.
I could hear his feat pounding harshly against the sidewalk as I kept on running. He was already tired, despite the fact that we only walked to every place we went to, but it didn't seem to stop him from runningโฆ just like me. Adrenaline pumped through my veins, making me feel absolutely invincible to the world. I didn't know where I would run to, but I knew that I wouldn't stop.
And I knew Victor wouldn't stop either. I kept my pace, even when he started using his energy to run faster. My brain turned off the moment I started moving, so I turned myself invisible and sprinted into an alleyway opening. I searched my body for anything that would give me away, and I found a small tracker pressed firmly to my shirt. I managed to peel it off and stomp on it before throwing it as far down the open street as I could.
Before I could catch my breath, Victor was right in my path. I held my breath as the villain stopped in the alleyway, trying to sense where I was. I couldn't give up this easily โ it would be a waste. If he found me right now, I would be dragged home and tied to a chair and probably tortured to death. Or until I became obedient.
He walked slowly down the small area, getting closer and closer to where I was hiding beside a dumpster. I prepared for my end long before I started my chase, but before the man could get any closer, I felt my mind connect to his, projecting an out of breath voice in his brain.
โI ran into a dead-end! I need to go deeperโฆโ
The villain's legs twitched, pulling away from my hiding spot as he decided to run deeper into the alleyway. Far away from meโฆ
He dropped my bags of things before rushing to my assumed destination. I wasted no time in gathering my items and pushing myself in the crowds of people as I turned off my invisibility. I had no idea where I would go, but I would find out once I got there.
