hey everyone !! took a long break but i’m back and with the infamous arataki itto :) might continue this with more characters, (Including the genshin girls) but this is part one! this was really fun to write and i hope you all enjoy ^^

➸ thoma rarely gets jealous, he trusts you and knows you won't look anywhere else.
➸ keyword being: rarely.
➸ you and thoma were going to meet up this afternoon to have a little lunch date together at komore teahouse.
➸ the two of you haven't been spending that much time together lately, so you were very excited to catch up with your little housekeeper.
➸ although, you were waiting at the teahouse for over an hour and he still hasn't shown up.
➸ you were starting to get worried so you went out to find him, until you bumped into none other than kazuha.
➸ "oh, y/n. what brings you here this brisk afternoon?"
➸ kazuha's calming voice made you relax a bit, so you take a deep breath and carefully explain what you're doing.
➸ "thoma is a little late for our lunch date, so i went looking for him."
➸ kazuha just smiles and says, "he was training with the kamisato siblings today, he's probably done by now."
➸ you take a sigh of relief, thankful that nothing has happened to him.
➸ "hey, as a thank you why don't i buy you some lunch? unless you've eaten already?"
➸ "oh thank you y/n, i am hungry. but don't feel the need to thank me for answering your question."
➸ you and kazuha walk into komore teahouse and take seats across from one another.
➸ after maybe 30 minutes, you hear two knocks on the door.
➸ you stand up to get it and see thoma standing outside with a big smile, as he hugs and twirls you around.
➸ "hey, y/n! i missed you!"
➸ you give him a small kiss on the cheek, in courtesy of the fact that kazuha was still there and pda made you shy.
➸ after thoma finishes returning your kiss, he finally notices kazuha sitting over at the table.
➸ "oh...why is kazuha here?" thoma asks, tilting his head a bit.
➸ "he kept me company while you were out training! we just shared some tricolor dango, nothing too filling."
➸ before you invite thoma over to sit down, kazuha notices thoma's...upset expression.
➸ "i will be taking my leave now, y/n. thank you for the meal, it will be going on my tab, i insist." kazuha says, getting up from the little pillow he was sitting on.
➸ you nod and wave goodbye to the little poet as he takes his leave from the restaurant.
➸ you remember that you gave back the menu before thoma arrived, so you stand up to get it, but then an unexpected back hug stops you.
➸ you look to your right and see thoma resting his head on your shoulder, pouting a little bit.
➸ "what's wrong?" you ask, stroking his hair.
➸ "it's nothing you did...i'm just a little upset that you and kazuha were here together."
➸ you smile and cup his face in your hands, giving him many little kisses.
➸ "stop it...i don't deserve those kisses. jealousy is an ugly emotion i shouldn't even be feeling it!" thoma says, turning his head away.
➸ you gently face his head back to you and give him a soft kiss on the lips. when you try to pull away, he pulls you back in, both of you smiling into the kiss.
➸ when you finally pull away, you're a little out of breath but seeing thoma's smile just warmed your heart.
➸ "thank you, y/n. i love you." thoma says, stroking your cheek.
➸ you both smile at each other and finally get the menu so you can have the lunch date you planned.

➸ in your entire relationship, you have never seen zhongli jealous. you never knew how he reacted when he felt that way.
➸ you never made a big deal out of it, because you found it so endearing that he trusted you that much.
➸ and even though he trusted you with his life, today was...different.
➸ you were doing some commissions with zhongli today, since he was free from the parlor.
➸ you were just about to head off to your second commission when you heard a faint, "good morning, comrades!"
➸ the two of you turn around and see...childe?
➸ you weren't used to seeing childe outside of third-round knockout, so you were a little surprised to see him.
➸ "hey, childe!" you say, giving him a hug.
➸ "mind if i join you two on your little adventure? or am i intruding on a romantic getaway?" childe teases, poking fun at the two of you.
➸ "not at all. you're welcome to join us!" you said, gesturing for him to come walk with you.
➸ you all walk and chat until you arrive at your next destination, where you're supposed to defeat some hilichurls.
➸ "this is gonna be fun." childe says, seeing the many mitachurls roaming around the camp.
➸ the three of you all get ready before jumping out the bushes and defeating those monsters faster than lightning.
➸ although, suddenly an abyss mage appeared behind you, too fast for you to notice.
➸ "y/n!" zhongli yelled, wanting to run to you but can't because he was still fending off some mitachurls.
➸ before the abyss mage strikes you, childe leaps to your aid, pushing you aside and one-shotting the pathetic little mage.
➸ as you both tumble down, childe somehow ends up on top of you and you thank him multiple times for his rescue.
➸ "no problem! it's what i do." he said, a little bit cockily but he deserved that much after saving you.
➸ you all walk to your last commission where you were supposed to cook a meal with smiley yanxiao, way easier than the others you've done today.
➸ although during your walk to the destination, zhongli was silent. you wanted to ask him what was wrong but he avoided eye contact with you.
➸ you just brushed it off and decided to wait until childe was gone to ask him, so you wouldn't have to stir up some drama in front of other people.
➸ you arrived at the destination, which was wangshu inn. you met up with yanxiao and his request was pretty straight-forward.
➸ "10 golden shrimp balls and 1 big pot of bamboo shoot soup, finish it by an hour." he said, immediately going back to chopping up some vegetables.
➸ the three of you got to work, you let zhongli handle the bamboo shoot soup, because it was his favorite meal to make.
➸ "oh wow, that looks delicious!" you say to zhongli, hoping he at least mutters a "thank you."
➸ but he doesn't. he simply nods and continues to place more ingredients into the soup.
➸ childe talks to you a bit more while you make the shrimp balls, but all you can do is look over at zhongli.
➸ you're worried that you may have not helped him enough in the last commission? maybe you offended him but didn't mean to? the worst scenarios just came rushing into your head.
➸ as you finished, you all placed the food in front of yanxiao to taste.
➸ "delicious! you all know your stuff. thank you, good day now folks!" you all waved goodbye to yanxiao and left the inn.
➸ "thanks for bringing me along today, you two. enjoy the rest of your day!" childe said, waving goodbye and running off to...wherever he goes throughout the day.
➸ now that it was finally the two of you, you turn to zhongli, but...he isn't there?
➸ you look around and can't see him anywhere. you start to panic a little and walk around, trying to find him.
➸ still seeing no sight of him, you try to go back into the hotel when you feel someone grab you tightly into a secluded corner below the inn.
➸ before you almost punch him, zhongli grabs your arm and stares right into your eyes.
➸ "y/n. please tell me, are you tired of me?" hearing this just made your heart sink. tired of him? what could that even mean?
➸ "tired of you? god, zhongli i can't get enough of you." you say, putting your hands on his cheeks.
➸ zhongli places his hand on yours, and quietly says, "i'm...sorry i didn't rescue you. childe is probably the hero you want."
➸ you laugh a little, stunned by the fact that zhongli actually was jealous.
➸ "you are my hero. now and forever. you make me smile, you keep me safe and you give me life."
➸ zhongli smiles and gives you a kiss, a slow one. a passionate, loving one. those were rare, but you loved them so much.
➸ feeling his hands wrap around your waist, his fingers comb through your hair, you absolutely melted.
➸ when he pulled away, you hugged. you said nothing else, you just hugged for over 5 minutes, enjoying each other's warmth.
➸ "i...love you, y/n. more than you'll know." zhongli whispers.
➸ "right back at you, love."

➸ childe definitely got jealous a lot, not because he didn't trust you, he just never felt good enough for you. you were a perfect person in his eyes, and he never thought he was the same.
➸ you found it cute, but you never failed to remind him that he was so very important to you.
➸ today, you and childe took a little trip to inazuma. you both wanted to go back, since it was such a beautiful place.
➸ when you arrived, you were both greeted cheerfully by thoma. "ah, y/n! tartaglia! glad you made it safe."
➸ you both shook thoma's hands, and you all proceeded to walk around inazuma.
➸ childe told you beforehand that he was going to spoil you today, (which he always does anyway) but you didn't really want much. you just wanted his company.
➸ thoma lead all of you to a quaint little restaurant that served all kinds of inazuma snacks.
➸ you were clearly drooling just looking at the menu, and childe noticed that.
➸ before childe could call up a waiter, someone already came to your table holding an array of different treats on a tray.
➸ "i recall that you guys favored these snacks in your last visit, yes?" thoma said, giving each of you a treat.
➸ you thanked thoma for the gesture, but he wasn't finished with you yet.
➸ "i know you also liked these sakura mochi, but didn't buy enough because they were a tad bit pricy." thoma added, pushing a plate of beautiful sakura mochi towards you.
➸ "a tad?! these are like 1,000 mora a piece! i can't accept this, thoma." you said, clearly flustered from the offer.
➸ thoma shook his head and said, "i insist. come on, you're not even here that often, i missed you! this is my thank you for coming back."
➸ you just smiled at him and thanked him once again before digging into your delicious snacks.
➸ you all chatted throughout the afternoon, but childe seemed to ignore thoma's questions.
➸ "hey, tartaglia. do you like your onigiri?" childe didn't respond. he just continued to talk to you about his adventures in the fatui.
➸ after a few more repeats of this, you excused yourself from the table and yanked childe along with you.
➸ when you were out of earshot from thoma, you asked childe, "what is your problem with thoma?"
➸ he just avoided eye contact with you and stayed silent. this was starting to piss you off.
➸ "look at me." you said, your death glare getting more and more intimidating.
➸ he still kept his gaze away from you, so you grabbed his face and faced it towards yours.
➸ "answer the question. thoma is being super welcoming and you're not even batting an eye in his direction!"
➸ childe takes a deep breath and pulls you into a spot without anyone around.
➸ "only...i can spoil you like that." he finally mutters, hugging you a little too tightly once you two are alone.
➸ "the look in your eyes, the flustered look on your face...i don't want anyone else to give you that. just me, only me." he said, burying his face into the crook of your neck even further.
➸ you have never seen childe like this. whenever he did get jealous he never showed it in such a forward manner.
➸ you pulled his face out of your neck and gave him kisses in his favorite spots.
➸ starting with the forehead, the nose, and then the lips.
➸ you both start to melt into the kiss, falling deeper and deeper into a total lovesick state.
➸ before things escalate, childe pulls away and puts his head against yours.
➸ "you're gorgeous." childe whispers, making your face heat up from embarrassment and look away from him.
➸ when you look back, you stare into his beautiful blue eyes, and say with all integrity, "i love you."
➸ childe smiles and gives you one last kiss before saying, "let's head back to that thoma fellow. he's probably thinking we got kidnapped by now."
: ̗̀➛ kaeya:
➸ kaeya is definitely the jealous type. no matter how cocky he may seem, he gets jealous at the many friends you make on your adventures, let alone how close you get to some of them.
➸ you don't know this though. as far as you know, you two are friends with benefits and nothing more. you did want more, but you never knew how kaeya would react.
➸ you and kaeya were training together one day, not official favonius training, just challenging each other to see who would buy drinks tonight again.
➸ while you were taking a break, a big group of people came rushing towards the two of you.
➸ they all showered you both with compliments, because you were both pretty popular throughout mondstadt. whenever you had combat training like this, you were always watched by a crowd.
➸ after almost all of the crowd left, one guy stayed and continued talking to you.
➸ "wow, you really are amazing! you can fight and you're gorgeous. what a perfect combo." hearing this made you feel warm inside, obviously you blushed a little bit and thanked him.
➸ he continued to compliment and flatter you, but when your conversation came to a close, he suggested, "hey, would you wanna go out with me sometime? maybe to good hunter?"
➸ this caught you off guard, since you had some sort of situationship with kaeya, but maybe this guy could help you get over him.
➸ before you could accept, kaeya steps in front of you and holds your hand tightly with his.
➸ "sorry. she's taken, fella. run along, now." the guy scoffed and turned away, clearly intimidated by kaeya's terrifying death glare.
➸ kaeya turned back to you, and held your face with his hands for a moment.
➸ "this has been on my mind for a while now, and that bastard flirting with you was the final boost of encouragement i needed..." kaeya took a deep breath and looked right into you eyes.
➸ "please be mine, for as long as you'll have me." you could see the a shade of red creeping up kaeya's face as he said this, but you were in too much shock to tease him at this point.
➸ after a little too much silence, kaeya quickly removes his hands off your face and says, "uh--! nevermind, ignore what i said bye bye!" before he can run off, you grab his arm.
➸ "i never even got to tell you my answer." you say, pulling him closer to you.
➸ he winces, shutting his eyes, probably waiting for a rejection. you chuckle a bit before leaning in to kiss him.
➸ kaeya's eyes widen, but he quickly melts into the kiss. pulling you in by the waist, combing his fingers through your hair and moving his hand all around your body.
➸ when you pull away, kaeya continues to comb through your hair, a big smile painted on his face.
➸ "i love you." you say, catching kaeya off guard a little.
➸ "i...love you." kaeya says. before you can kiss him again, he continues, "more than you'll ever know."
➸ you both smile and laugh a little in embarrassment, and walk home together, hand in hand.
: ̗̀➛ itto:
➸ you didn't know whether or not itto was the jealous type, he was usually too dense to even notice other people flirting with you at times.
➸ you definitely got jealous more, with itto being the confident, suave type, everyone in inazuma had a thing for him. you never showed it though, just in case itto found jealousy to be...gross.
➸ you and itto were taking a stroll around inazuma, getting some snacks and chatting about literally everything.
➸ at one point you discussed if you could build a house purely out of cheese, which was basically a whole monologue by itto.
➸ while you were both chomping down on some tricolor dango, gorou walked up to you both.
➸ gorou was your best friend, and you actually haven't seen him in a while due to his own personal duties. you were glad to finally see him.
➸ "hey! y/n! itto!" gorou greeted, taking a seat across the table from the two of you.
➸ you both smiled and greeted him as well, both glad to see him this afternoon.
➸ "how've you both been?" gorou asks, curiously leaning towards you two.
➸ itto starts to talk about all the adventures you two have been on ever since dating, and his sudden compliments made you blush a little bit. (by a little i mean a lot)
➸ gorou inches closer to you while you both listen to itto talk about the time he got stuck inside a slime, and quickly bites off half of your tricolor dango.
➸ "hey! what the-" you put the snack in your other hand and put it as far from gorou's mouth as possible.
➸ gorou continues to lean into you, his hands gripping your thighs to stay steady.
➸ you try to lean back a bit, but it makes you fall over onto a grass patch nearby.
➸ gorou grabs the dango and continues to eat it whilst pinning you down to the ground.
➸ "fine. take it then, it's a reward for coming back here." you say, raising your arms in surrender.
➸ you both laugh and gorou stands up and puts out his hand to help you up from the ground.
➸ you decide to get yourself some sakura mochi as compensation for the stolen dango.
➸ when you get back, gorou and itto are nowhere in sight. but then you hear someone scream, "go itto!!" from behind you. what you see is a crowd of people surrounding something.
➸ when you make your way through the crowd, you see itto and gorou having what looks like a...standoff?
➸ gorou's face looks absolutely terrified, it's clear he was probably forced into this by itto. but itto never picks fights with gorou, they're really close.
➸ "you wanna have y/n? huh? come fight me!" excuse me...what?! you could not believe what you were seeing.
➸ "oh my archons, i have told you a billion times when you dragged me over here, i'm not into them!" gorou shouted, starting to get irritated.
➸ before things can escalate, you run to the center of the fight and call it off immediately. "okay folks, shows over."
➸ the crowd groans and walks away, and you call over gorou while pulling itto by the ear to a secluded area.
➸ "what the hell was that?!" you shout, causing itto to wince a little.
➸ "it's just that...i forgot how close you and gorou were. seeing you and him fight over that stupid dango a while ago made me feel...odd." taken aback, your eyes widen at itto's response.
➸ itto was...jealous? and he wanted to fight poor gorou for your honor? no matter how old schooled that sounded, it was still very sweet.
➸ you place your hands on itto's face and pull him down to yours. "you know that i love you, right?" itto nods. "so there's no need to be jealous. gosh, you are so amazing, if anything i'm the one who should be getting jealous of all your fans!"
➸ itto laughs a little bit, and kisses you. it was a short one, so you pull him back in for one more.
➸ his kisses were always so sweet. never too rough, it's just a genuinely loving kiss that you absolutely melted for.
➸ when he pulls away, you stare at each other until you here a sigh from behind the two of you.
➸ "i'm right here. get a room, will ya?" gorou was with you the whole time and you barely noticed.
➸ you apologize and gorou just scoffs as you all wave goodbye to each other.
➸ itto holds your hand tight and gives you a big, bright smile. you smile back and lean on his shoulder as you walk back home.

➸ albedo rarely got jealous, let alone show any other form of anger towards you. you were the beacon of joy in his life, and absolutely nothing you did failed to give him a smile.
➸ you never got jealous either, you and albedo were together constantly and he didn't really like spending time with others besides you, aether and sucrose.
➸ one day you and albedo were painting together, like you did every week. you were painting a beautiful view of mondstadt. while albedo was painting well...you.
➸ you were just about done when you felt someone blow into your ear.
➸ "arh--! what was-" you look behind you and see kaeya. of course, he always did stuff like this to you. although as his best friend, you learned to let it go.
➸ "good afternoon y/n, albedo. pleasant day, isn't it?" kaeya says, looking out at the view you were painting.
➸ you all chat until nightfall and kaeya offers to buy all of you drinks at angel's share.
➸ you both agree and follow the young cavalry captain to the bar to have a drink together and chat.
➸ when you arrive, kaeya orders drinks for the table and you and albedo take a seat beside one another.
➸ kaeya places his hand on yours, which startles you a bit but you don't say anything.
➸ he keeps it there, which doesn't faze you since he's done things like this ever since you were kids but you catch a glance of albedo and he's looking right at your hands.
➸ you try to take your hand off when kaeya grabs it and says, "i'm a little bored. i suggest a staring contest." while holding your hands in his.
➸ before you can say no, albedo grabs kaeya's hands and glares right at him. "i'd like to play, kaeya."
➸ poor kaeya was forced to stare deep into albedo's piercing glare until he decided it was better to lose than to keep staring.
➸ "i-i'll get our drinks, be right back!" kaeya says, scuttering off to the bartender.
➸ you look back at albedo who is...grinning? in a mischievous way, may i add.
➸ "hey, what are you smiling about?" you ask him. he takes your hand in one of his and uses the other to comb through your hair.
➸ "i may have been, what you call, jealous." albedo mumbles, slowly getting redder and redder.
➸ you chuckle a bit, but quickly pull him into a hug and run your hands through his soft hair.
➸ "there's nothing to be jealous about, alright? there's a reason i'm with you and not that silly pirate boy." you whisper, continuing to slowly caress his head with your hands.
➸ "could we abandon him? i have a project i'd like to work on with you at home." albedo says.
➸ "oh? what project?" you ask, curious. he's never wanted your help with projects before.
➸ "i just need to study...the human body." he says, smirking a bit.
➸ it only took a few moments until you understood and your face turned bright red just imagining it.
➸ "what do you say, darling?"

I’d imaging that when he realizes that he attracts Pyro users, he’s going to find the closet Archon (not the Pyro Archon) to ask if they know why he attracts pyros so much. Also, What if he was oblivious to it for years and is still the first person to notice? Not even the Pyro users notice they are around Kaeya so often.
What about things like Pyro Slimes, Pyroslingers, etc.? How does their behavior differ when around Kaeya?
Any ideas for an au where Kaeya is not only a trouble magnet but also Pyro Bait? As in he attracts Pyro users and Pyro aligned beings like catnip.

How would he even first discover this? Because Klee is clingy? Amber keeps acting suspiciously around him and comes up with dumb reasons as to why she keeps coming back? Because Bennett doesn't even try to hide it and always gives him warm hugs?
Because Diluc (despite his words) keeps coming back and showing up wherever he is? He's probably the only one - besides Amber - who actively tries to resist the pull.
When he goes to Liyue and Xiangling, Xinyan and Hu Tao follow him around?
Maybe he realizes it whenever he's in trouble and it's always a Pyro wielder who bails him out?
When the Pyro Archon - in all her tiny loli glory - attaches herself to him too?
It would be funny to see when it finally dawns on him that he is a Pyro magnet on top of already being a trouble magnet. Now all of the Pyro users and enemies (Slimes, Hilichurls, Pyro Regisvine, etc.) being drawn to him makes a whole lot more sense.
He would drop his head into his hands and just groans loudly. I bet he'd even come to the realization in Angel's Share when he's half sloshed and thinking back over the past month.
Some Kaeya I did a while ago!
Genshin took over my life and I'm now going to make my hyperfixation of it everyone's problem
Some time ago, I really, REALLY got into Genshin Impact and it has, without a doubt, taken over my life.
Recently, I read two pretty cool fics on Ao3; "Wards of the Wind" by Kiri_Kaitou_Clover and "Just a Boy" by Karmitara, which... both had me cooking.
I have a funky Genshin AU / Story Idea I want to info dump about! I call it "A Thousand Winds in a Windless Land"!
The general gist of it is that during the Cataclysm, Barbatos is sent to kill the Khanri'ahn heir, baby Kaeya, however, Barbatos is unable to bring himself to kill him and hands him over to Dainsleif who escapes into the Abyss while Barbatos distracts the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles.
Of course, they (because I stan gender-neutral Venti) lose. Normally, such actions would result in execution, however, the Sustainer is unable to kill Barbatos without consequences that probably involve Istaroth, so instead, she seals Barbatos away, but still tells all the Archons that she killed them to prevent any more rebellious behaviour.
Before they get sealed away, however, Barbatos transfers their powers over to their siblings; the Thousand Winds, putting them on the same power level as the adepti of Liyue, and then Barbatos transfers their soul into a vessel in the form of a wisp similar to the rest of the wisps so that they can keep helping out in Teyvat in secret. After sealing Barbatos away, the Sustainer goes to destroy Mondstadt as part of Barbatos' punishment, but because of the Thousand Winds' power up, they are able to defeat the sustainer and send her and Celestia into a slumber after she'd been weakened by the Cataclysm.
Afterwards, the Wind Wisps essentially became divine protectors of Mondstadt, similar to the Four Winds and Liyue’s adepti. They’re also able to have human forms, identifiable by their white hair and anemo-coloured tips and eyes. They mostly stay in Mondstadt but are also known to live in other nations alongside people they decide to stick to.
I imagine that the inclusion of the wisps and the presence of Barbatos (who calls themself Nye since their identity as Venti has been compromised) changes a lot of things that I'll probably cover in another post lol. But I like to imagine that some of the wisps decided to stick around with anemo users and residents of Mondstadt, as well as people who are just generally fighting for freedom as well as the archons. I also like to imagine that a wisp decides to stick around with Dainsleif, and as for the Traveller? The wisp who follows him around is literally just Nye/Venti lol
I don't really know what the Mondstadt quest will be since I plan for Dvalin to be cured :PP
I am also a sucker for Venti & Tsaritsa shenanigans and like to headcanon that they have a sibling relationship, so I imagine that around half of the animosity she feels towards the other archons is probably Barbatos related. She's mad at Morax because he was the one in charge of making sure that Barbatos would kill Kaeya, she was originally not as disappointed towards Beelzebub and was even a little sympathetic towards her until she decided to take the coward's way out and hide away in her Plane of Euthymia and leave an emotionless puppet to rule her people, but the Tsaritsa probably has nothing really against Buer and Focalors since there was genuinely nothing they could have done since neither of them become archons until after the Cataclysm. I'm not sure what Murata's role should be in all of this yet, but I do know that the Tsaritsa probably also really blames herself for not being able to prevent Barbatos' fate. My brother even suggested that maybe she was the one who was originally supposed to kill Kaeya, but because she refused, the duty was pushed onto Barbatos.
I'll probably info-dump more about this AU later lol
Oh look, What I have so far for my Cataclysm and pre-canon Mondstadt plot points for my ATWIAWL AU!
CATACLYSM
After defeating Durin, Celestia summons Barbatos to assassinate the Khaenri’an heir, to which Barbatos very reluctantly cooperates with, that is until they get there and discover a baby Kaeya.
Seeing his smile, Barbatos cannot bring themself to kill the baby and attempts to smuggle him away from the Cataclysm, but they are discovered by Morax and the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles.
Before all of this, Dainsleif was exiled (for reasons I haven’t really decided yet) from Khaenri’ah but came back during the Cataclysm hoping to save the people, but bumps into Barbatos. Dainsleif is tense at first until Barbatos hands Kaeya over to him and tells him that he must run before the Sustainer arrives.
The Sustainer then proceeds to arrive and Barbatos buys the two time as Dainsleif and Kaeya flee into the Abyss. However, Barbatos quickly loses the fight.
An offence like this would normally lead to the offender’s execution, however, the Sustainer is unable to kill Barbatos without severe consequences (all relating to Istaroth), but leaving them to their own devices is just as equally dangerous, so instead, the Heavenly Principles seal them away.
She still tells all the other archons that they killed Barbatos to dissuade them from also rebelling.
Before they’re able to seal them away, however, Barbatos transfers their powers over to the Thousand Winds, blessing them with power rivalling that of Liyue’s adepti so that after the deed is done and the Sustainer sets out to attack Mondstadt, the Wind Wisps are able to fight her off, sending her into a deep slumber after the Cataclysm weakened her.
PRE-CANON MONDSTADT
After they were blessed by Barbatos, the Wind Wisps essentially became divine protectors of Mondstadt, similar to the Four Winds and Liyue’s adepti. They’re also able to have human forms, identifiable by their white hair and anemo-coloured tips and eyes. They mostly stay in Mondstadt but are also known to live in other nations alongside people they decide to stick to.
Before they were sealed away, Barbatos was able to remove their soul and put it into the form of a Wind Wisp not too dissimilar from the rest of the Thousand Winds. Since their identity as Venti was compromised, Barbatos decided to craft a new identity under the name of Nye and use it to secretly remain in Teyvat.
The fact that Barbatos disguised as Nye is still around is a secret only the Thousand Winds are privy to, because if Celestia were to ever hear of Nye’s true identity, they could potentially awaken prematurely, and that is the last thing anyone wants.
Because they’re around, Venti is able to heal Dvalin of Durin’s poison, but because I’m also a sucker for the gay dragons, close to the present events of the game, Durin gets reincarnated into the most reckless being in all of Teyvat. Initially, Dvalin lets him be out of a sense of guilt from killing his past self, but then Durin (whose name might not be Durin anymore) gets himself in a sticky situation and Dvalin has to appear in his human form in order to get him out of that situation. Afterwards, Dvalin decides to stick around with Durin to ensure that he doesn’t get himself almost killed again.
In his human form, Dvalin has a fake anemo vision and I can imagine him either being a bow user or a catalyst user.
I like to think that Durin would have a cryo vision. I can imagine his weapon either being a claymore or a physical catalyst like Heizou or Wriothesley.
During the Ursa the Drake crisis, the presence of the wisps are able to save Crepus’ life. I haven’t decided yet if present-day Diluc still has the same personality he had before his father died in canon, or if he’s still grumpy. Another fic that inspired me was “A Bard’s Ambition” by OG_CaleHenituse where even though Venti saved Crepus’ life, it wasn’t without people thinking he had died when he went missing which still results in Diluc’s fallout with the knights.

Time: 1:00 am.
Footsteps echoed in the dark halls. They belonged to none other than the Darknight hero. Why was he up so late though? God knows. The walking continues. Everybody is asleep except him, who just came back from his usual abyssal creature hunting. He still keeps walking…until he stops when his eyes land on a room at the end of the hall. A room that had been locked for the past four years. He forcefully tore his eyes away from that room. He’s already tired and doesn’t need the reminder of a tragedy.

Location: The Adventures Guild, Mondstadt City
“Ad Astra Abyssosque! Traveler, just the person who I was looking for!” Katheryne greeted them with a warm smile.
“Let Paimon guess…another super duper dangerous commission that needs the traveller’s help huh?” The floating fairy huffed and crossed her arms. Her guess was true though because that’s what has been happening for the past few times. The traveller merely gave a curious expression.“What is it about?” they asked.
“I’m glad you asked, this is a major commission and no other adventures, no matter how experienced, could not complete it. In fact, they are yet to be back.” Katheryne gave a sad expression.
“W-what do you mean “yet to be back”?! Did they get lost or something? Did they-“ Paimon gasped at the thought.
“Paimon, calm down it can’t be that bad, right?” the traveler tried to calm the panicking pixie but also fell into doubt. What is it this time?
“The condition of the adventures is unknown. We lost all contact with them and can’t tell wether they are dead or alive. It’s like they disappeared from the face of Teyvat.”
“EEEK! THATS SCARY AAHHH NOPE NOPE-“ Paimon shrieked and hid behind the traveler.
“Paimon we literally did fight god on a daily basis come on it can’t be that bad. Say Katheryne, what is this commission anyways?” the traveler asked. They were curious. Who knows? Maybe disappearing people could be some abyss problem. And where there is abyss, there is sibling. There is a small chance.
“Yes ahem, There has been suspicious activity going on in the thousand winds temple. The most we know is that there has been a giant pit with no end and that whoever falls in it never returns. A few abyss mages have also been spotted at this site. Other info…”Katheryne filled them with the details while traveler and Paimon got the worse déjà vú. They just came back from their adventure from the chasm. What’s with this place and cursed pits?!
But they did catch a glimpse of their sibling in that chasm…and there were abyss mages there so this is definitely their doing. Who knows, maybe they’ll find something else that’s useful on their quest to find their sibling.
“…is all I can fill you with regarding this commission. Do you wish to acce-“
“I accept this commission.” The traveler said. They were determined and confident that this will help them.
“TRAVELER WE JUST CAME BACK FROM A CURSED PIT WHY DO Y-“
“I knew I could count on you! Ad Astra Abyssosque traveler, good luck!” Katheryne gleefully wished them.
“STOP CUTTING PAIMON OFF!” Paimon angrily stomped her foot on air.

It was really bad.
Why did they even accept this commission? Traveler and Paimon wonder as they are injured, surrounded and outnumbered by creatures they can’t even begin to describe.
They look like humans but horribly mutated. Some were giants with heads too large for their bodies. Some were small but had oversized or undersized limbs. Some had no limbs. Some were missing a whole half of their bodies. Some were just parts of bodies. All of them had one thing in common though, one ugly white eye on random parts of their “bodies”.
How did they even end up in this hell of Teyvat?

Location: Thousand Winds Temple
“I think this is the site of commission. Look there’s the cursed pit!”
The traveler and Paimon arrived where Katheryne had directed them to. Funnily enough there were no abyss mages or any monsters in sight there. It was oddly peaceful. The sun was shining, there were no clouds, the animals were scurrying around looking for food! It made them feel at ease.
“Huh, looks like an ordinary pit to Paimon, except it seems to be really really deep. Wonder what caused this..” Paimon and traveler stopped at the edge of the pit. True, it seemed ordinary with zero magical traces around it. The only problem was that it’s diameter was unsettlingly large, large enough to drop Azdaha in it. How did this even appear here in the first place? They were thinking of the possibilities until….
Everything went black.

Traveler jumped awake. What happened?!?
“Traveler thank archons you are awake!” Paimon cried and hugged them. She was trembling and and seemed terrified. Traveler hugged them and rubbed her back to soothe her. They looked around. Where are they…?
It seemed to be the thousand winds temple but disturbing. Very disturbing. The sky was red. The sun or what seemed to be it was covered by a large black object whose darkness was oozing around the sky like veins. It only provided a dim source of red light. Looking at the ground and surroundings. The ruins were even more broken. There were thick black vines everywhere. The trees were dry and completely covered by such vines. No animals or signs of life nearby.
“Paimon…w-where are we..?” Traveler managed to gasp out as they stared in horror. Was this some sort of dream? The pain in their whole body said otherwise.
“P-paimon doesn’t know! The l-last thing Paimon s-saw before b-b-blacking out was us f-falling!” Paimon said between her tears. Now a pit formed in traveler’s stomach. Did they fall in that pit…?
That can’t be good…they need to get out of he-
A figure interrupted traveler’s thoughts. Someone was there. Someone was approaching them in the temple. They felt hope. Maybe this person can answer their questions! Their hope however, was quickly turned into horror when the figure came close enough to be properly observed.
And when observed, it was anything but human.

No matter how many times they hacked and slashed at these creatures, no damage was done. They kept healing. Some cut off parts multiplied into new creatures. Elemental power wasn’t working at all.
The traveler and Paimon were hopeless and on the verge of death.

A group of 5 stared at the commotion by the traveler.
“Looks like we got new faces here. And they don’t seem to be welcomed properly.” A voice from the group spoke.
“I sure can see that. Jeez they sure are putting up a fight.” A second voice huffed.
“Are we gonna help them or leave them as zombie food?” A third voice asked.
“Of course we have to! Can’t you see the condition they are in?!? It will be a shame if that cute little pixie dies!” A fourth voice shrieked out.
“Well we are still full on supplies. Y’all up?” ….the fifth voice spoke.
“Fuck yeah!”
“Let’s do this!”
“Don’t worry little pixie!”

Traveler fell to their knees. They were too broken to fight. Paimon helplessly clung onto their head, crying and shouting something they couldn’t hear. It was no use…the monsters kept coming and coming. Maybe this is how they die, huh? There was nobody to save th-
BOOM
A large explosion just happened, clearing a massive amount of the monsters swarming them! From the smoke, five silhouettes appeared. They didn’t have time to react as the silhouettes quickly jumped to battle. They were effectively taking down those monsters like they were slimes.
One of them was moving so fast it appeared as if they teleported ambushed the enemies. Another, used a large cannon to shoot large masses of energy and blew the monsters into pieces. Third, used a a sharp whip, whose strike cut the creatures into shreds. The fourth one, they were some sort of toxic gas making enemies drop dead. Lastly the fifth one attacked bombs.
Soon the all monsters were cleared and only their ashes remained.

The figures approached the traveler and their pixie. Traveler’s eyes were on the brink of closing yet they still held Paimon protectively. One of the figures crouched down next to them to inspect them. It was the fifth one.
Traveler finally saw their face. They had round yet fierce (e/c) eyes and short messy (h/c) hair. Their face was littered with scars of burns and cuts. Could it be because of explosion accidents? Who is this person…?
Soon traveler blacked out.

Location: Dawn Winery, Mondstadt
Traveler woke up with a loud gasp. Pausing for a moment, the took deep breaths and observed their surroundings. It’s Dawn Winery? What are they doing here? WAIT WHERE IS PAIMON??
The jumped out of bed, half clothed and patched up. They didn’t care. Need Paimon safe.
They slammed open the door. And that caught the attention of master Diluc and his pixie companion downstairs.
“Traveler you’re awake!” Paimon shrieked happily and flew up to hug them. They were washed with relieved and hugged Paimon back.
“Are you okay Paimon? Are you hurt? What happened?”
“Calm down will ya? Turns out Paimon also blacked out with you. Then, when she woke up, she was here! Turns out Master Diluc was out on his Captain Pyro duties near the temple because of the abyss mages and he found us there.”
“It seems you are awake, but I advise you go back to bed and lay down. Your injuries aren’t healed yet.” It was Diluc this time. He glanced up at the traveler by then looked away blushing because they were only half clothed
“A-ahem, also your clothes are by your bed. Feel free to call Adelinde for help.”
“GASP MASTER DILUC DONT LOOK AT THE TRAVELER!” Paimon screeched trying to cover them up.
“M-my apologies…” Diluc merely walked away flushed.
“Whew t-that was awkward…you know I should probably go dress properly…” traveler rubbed their cheek in embarrassment.
“Okie dokie! Paimon will be off to explore the winery so cya later!” Paimon gave a thumbs up and then proceeded to disappear to god knows where.
Before heading back to the room, something caught the traveler’s eye. It was a door at the end of the hall. The door was open and the room was dark. Something was calling them. They didn’t want to snoop but their gut was begging them to go, and so the let their feet carry them to that room.

It was a simple room yet dusty room. Spiders probably live here now. There was a a window at the end and a bed under it. A few drawings and plushies laid on the shelf. Everything had a heavy layer of dust.
‘Must be a child’s room…’ they thought. They looked around until something made them stop dead. On the floor, was a picture. Traveler picked it up.
It was the picture of three children, hugging and laughing innocently on a tree. On the left end was none other than Master Diluc in his youth. His eyes were so big and cute! On the right end was…Kaeya? He seemed kinda scared being on top of a tree. It was strange seeing those two together like that. Wonder what their history was…
Finally between them, was an unknown child with cute round eyes like Diluc’s. Traveler stared at them for a while. And then…it clicked.

“MASTER DILUC! MASTER DILUC!”
Diluc heard the traveler shout his name. He turned around and here they were, panting and huffing.
“Traveler is everything alright?” He asks concerned.
“Listen, please don’t get mad but this is important. I-I saw a room at the end of a hall a-and I didn’t mean t-to-“
“Listen, I won’t get mad, just calm down. Take deep breaths and take your time to speak.” Diluc calmed and reassured the traveler. How could they possibly get him mad? He thought.
The traveler took a few breaths and then spoke.
“Listen, I didn’t mean to snoop but the room at the end of the hall, it was open and for some reason I felt the urge to go there. I saw a picture on the ground an-“ before they could finish a dark shadow formed over Diluc. All of his warm reassuring look was gone.
“I prefer not to talk about it.” He simply stated with a hollow look.
“No no, please hear me out! The child in the mid-“ the traveler tried to finish.
“Please go back to rest.” Diluc turned around ready to leave. Frustrated, the traveler shouted-
“THEY SAVED MY LIFE JUST A WHILE AGO.”
With that, Diluc froze at where he stood.

Traveler yelled in frustration and it made Diluc freeze. Like a deer caught in headlights. A million questions rose in his mind. Did he hear that correct?
“Master Diluc? Hey? Are yo-“
“Please go back to your room.”
And with that, he left.
Traveler groaned in frustration. Who is this mystery person? They took down those monsters form the pit so easily…Their head throbbed. Maybe some fresh air can help? Yes, fresh air would be lovely. Maybe a small walk around the vineyard as well….in some appropriate clothes of course.
They headed back to their room and changed into their normal clothes. It was hard to do that because of the injuries but they were unfazed. They could only think about the mystery person in silence. Speaking of silence, where is the silence breaker Paimon? Meh maybe she’s outside as well?

It was a peaceful sunny day outside. Just like the day when they fell into that pit of horror. Crystalflies were merrily fluttering among the vineyards with a soft glow. Traveler strolled among them, wanting to collect them but their aching body said otherwise. There were so many things going around! From a distance we can see birds in their nests, squirrels collecting nuts, Paimon arguing with Kaeya…wait- Kaeya? What was he doing here?
Next to the manor’s entrance, Paimon was yelling at Kaeya and angrily stomping her foot in air while Kaeya just crossed his arms and said something that seemed to annoy her even further. Next to them was Elzer who was desperately trying to calm them down.
“HAH! PAIMON BETS YOU CANT EVEN EAT GRAPES!”
“Now now, just because i don’t like grape juice doesn’t mean I can’t eat grapes.”
“Why are you two yelling about eating grapes?” Traveler decided to join in. Paimon perked up at the familiar voice.
“Traveler! Look! Paimon was just asking Elzer for grape juice and Kaeya had THE AUDACITY to appear out of NOWHERE AND MAKE FUN OF PAIMON FOR WANTING A DRINK!”
“I was just trying to greet you Paimon-“
“What kind of greeting goes “ew grape juice”?”
“Pfft” Traveler tried to stifle their laughter. It only further offended Paimon and she began ranting even louder.
“By the way what are you doing here Kaeya?” Ignoring the angry pixie, traveler now gave their attention to Kaeya’s strange presence at the manor. Why was he here though?
(If you look real closely you can see salt being rubbed on a certain angry marshmallow who was being ignored.)
“Don’t mind me, I’m here to pay a visit to master Diluc regarding some matters. Now, Elzer?”
“Right this way Master Kaeya,” Elzer bowed and began leading Kaeya inside the manor. They were about to enter when traveler suddenly called his name.
“Kaeya!” He was there in that picture. His blue hair and eye can’t be mistaken for somebody else’s. Maybe he knows who that child was?
Kaeya stopped in his footsteps and turned to the traveler.
“…nothing, sorry.” But traveler hesitated.
Kaeya stared for a second then huffed with a small smile and went inside, leaving traveler alone with Paimon.

“HEY! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING???” Paimon impatiently floated in front of the traveler’s face, waving her arms. They snapped out of their thoughts. Darn, they let another chance escape…
“What was that? You were staring into space.” Her tone was full of concern. Should she know? Doesn’t seem to bring any harm to tell her…
“Paimon, there was something in that room at the end of the ha-“
“Honorary Knight, hello!” It was Adelinde this time.
“Hey Adelinde! What’s up?” Paimon turned and waved at her as she approached them.
“Oh nothing much, I see you are recovering honorary knight.” She smiled at the traveler. They smiled back.
“I am, but pray tell, why is Kaeya here?” Curiosity got the better of traveler as they asked.
Adelinde’s smile was replaced by a sad look. She quickly tried to cover it up but the duo had already seen it.
“I think they are having a work related meeting. Im not sure.” She said but it also felt fake, like a lie.
“Adelinde, are you okay?” Paimon was confused at her behaviour.
“Im fine really! Instead I should be the one asking you, traveler you look pretty distracted by something.” She was right about traveler looking distracted though. They really can’t get their mind off that picture.
“Adelinde, can I ask you something?”
“Yes?”
“What is that room at the end of the hall on the first floor?”

Alone on a rooftop, a (h/c) haired person sits and stares at the black and red sky above them. They didn’t notice the brunette girl approaching them until she called them out.
“Nothing much, just wondering about this damn pit…” they sighed. The girl lazily sat next to them.
“or are you wondering about those two?”

“I’ll take that as a yes.”
“*sigh* It’s just…listen, I don’t believe in this “aura” and shit but there is something about them that felt so familiar.”

The brunette was about to speak when a siren went off.
“Crap it’s happening again!” They both got up from their seats and jumped off the roof, reaching the ground running through the ghostly streets.
“Wasn’t this supposed to not occur until next week??” The (h/c) haired person asked clearly confused and concerned.
“I don’t fucking know! Just focus of reaching the top of the cathedral!” The brunette yelled as they both ran even faster.
Okay but how about isekai’d reader being a child of 10-13? Reader who sees Lumine as her big sister and is VERY protective of her?
Lumine being the mc of the story makes many admirers on the way? What could possibly go wrong?

Eventually Kaeya makes a choice, and all the people of Mondstadt he knew repeat those lines while Kaeya pleads “forgive me”
Why I think Layla might be related to Khaenri’ah !
she’s the only other character who’s sitting down in their artwork aside from Kaeya, who, in theory, is sitting down because he’s sitting on his throne as a the heir to Khaenri’ah’s royal throne. Her hair and the tassels on her wrists as well as the back of her cape are the four-pointed stars we see on every Khaenri’ahn related character. Also her circlet, or crown (pointing to royalty) has some of the stars and the shading in her hair also is in the shape of the stars in a lighter, grayer color- like Kaeya’s streak of gray hair, or Pierro’s streak of navy hair. She shares a similar enough color palette to Dainsleif and Kaeya and Pierro and maybe even Albedo if you squint. What if she’s another member, or maybe even a sage, of Khaenri’ahn royalty- also sitting on a throne. Especially a royal sage or consultant of some sort, seeing as her pose looks like she’s advising someone to do something.

So she’s a sleepy character who apparently has never experienced sleepwalk, and by a stretch, has never had a dream. In the Genshin trailer: Travail, way back, the one where they show a small glimpse of the nations, Dainsleif mentions that “there are those who dream of dreaming.” He also mentions that “Some say a few are chosen and the rest are dregs.” Now I’m really stretching, but what if what happens to her here in this description is connected- what if the stars descending on her paper was her being ‘chosen’- she also calls it “The star’s blessing”. Especially with the fact that she had just woken up from a restful nap- what if she had a dream during that nap, and as a Khaenri’ahn, allowed her to be blessed by these random stars???
ALSO @genshin-impact-updates said that her constellation is apparently called ‘Luscinia’ so i googled it and (copy pasted from wikipedia) Luscinia is a genus of smallish passerine birds, containing the nightingales and relatives. It also said this:
Now who else do we know is one eyed-?? Dain, Pierro, and Kaeya- all of them not only related to Khaenri’ah, but related to Khaenri’ahn royalty. I googled what nightingales symbolize, and apparently they symbolize a LOT like creativity and nature and melodies and mystery even???
I’ve also never seen a nightingale in my life but apparently they sing a lot at night so maybe she’s really supposed to symbolize some sort of magic or dreaming or stars or whatever as a Khaenri’ahn. At this point I’m really stretching but MY POINT IS BABE WAKE UP NEW KHAENRI’AH RELATED CHARACTER JUST DROPPED
Edit; I have something to add on the visual similarities between her and the other Khaenri’ahns we know. her hoodie/ veil is twisted to cover the right side of her face more than her left side. Just like Kaeya’s hair and eyepatch, as well as Pierro and Dain’s covered right sides. I think it’s a more subtle way of pointing to how Khaenri’ahns cover their eye just like their King Irmin mentioned in Hidden Strife.
