There aren’t just massiffs

Coruscant has a lot of smuggling, including animals. Not only that but the Senators give them their pets to take care of (that is not a pet but a wild animal wtf)

But they end up with an assortment of baby animals that CAN be domesticated and do something with them

Quinlan started it when he handed a baby Nexu to Fox and said they were trainable and loyal. Fox passed this on to Hohnd and nugget was a part of the family since

Ever since then they got two more Nexu, both sticking with new shinies under Hounds command

Surprisingly they have one Narglatch, though Blizzard (dubbed by Stone) is rarely used. Often used for chases in the lower levels, able to chase and weave easier through crowds than a speeder (think Horses in police forces)

At one point, some 501st and 212th troopers found what they thought to be a massiff and happily dropped it with the Guard,

It was not a massiff and Hound broke many laws to get it to the Jedi temple and out of his hands fast

See they had found an Albek, a force sensitive creature that looks like a massif but is VERY aggressive and BERY untrainable, last Hound heard was that it was set free and is very happy

Another of the larger creatures that is used far more often than the narglatch is the Varactyl

Somehow a shipment of young had been smuggled onto Coruscant and were taken in by the Guard

Their ability to climb vertical surfaces and calm nature and silliness to listen to their rider made them perfect in the club districts; the tall buildings were close enough to jump between and had many platforms for people to walk and dance

They could weave above crowds and act almost like helicopters when chasing criminals, but we’re able to go into the crowds; only problem is that people had to get out of the way or be trampled

Hound and his infinite luck ran across a hurt Rancor with a shiny one night. Though they could not take the Rancor in, they sent it to the Jedi temple where it receives lots of love and treats from the younglings and troopers who visit

The Rancor serves as a guardian of the wing dedicated to dangerous artifacts and texts, and is watched over by the Temple Guard

Spark dragons

ARF troopers ride them but due to fear, they are used to guard the prisons. Occasionally, they are lent out to other battalions with their riders

They are dragons native to Kiffu and can easily get their charge from the static electricity created by genorators

They were found as young babies and trained by the ARF

Quinlan was absolutely ecstatic and adores them, they’ve made a special attachment with him but prefer their troopers

On one occasion two were sent out with the Marine Corps, who were afraid as hell. Those troopers had a lovely time and many stores of scaring the ‘hardcore’ troopers

For some odd reason I got the idea in my head that Monnk and Fox HATE each other.

Like they cannot be in the room together, they will beat each other to death.

No one knows why but since they were cadets they can’t.

No Jedi knows because it’s never been an issue until there’s this big meeting and any Jedi available shows up in person with their commander.

Kit joins and Monnk is meant to be there too but is late. No one sees an issue until Commander Thire shows up, he’s meant to accompany Fox for the meeting.

Thire looks at Kit Fisto and shakily asks, ‘where’s Monnk?’

‘He’s running late. He’s probably showing Commander Fox the way, since he’s never been to the temple before.’

The Jedi laugh and the commanders freeze, ‘uh oh’

then all the commanders run out of the room, shouting for Fox and Monnk.

The Jedi look towards the holo of Ponds and Mace, all direction to Ponds.

“No one knows why but everytime they meet they fight. Not like spar fight but I’m gonna kill you fight. We don’t leave them alone together, ever.”

Well, the commanders return a few minutes later. Fox and Monnk split apart and once settled, motion for the meeting to start.

After all is done, everyone moves to leave and Thire loops an arm around Fox. The man isn’t really putting any weight on his leg and is breathing uneven. Commander Cody goes and helps him out.

The Jedi seem taken aback by this and leave somewhat confused. Commander Doom helps stabilize Monnk and walks with him out. All they hear is a mumured ‘why every time. You have to beat the snot out of each other.’

Kit Fisto looking confused, looks toward the Commanders.

‘They got to each other first, might wanna get Monnk to a medbay.’

Kit nods and quickly goes after Monnk.

Overall, I think the competency and the badass-ness of the Clones and their skills is SUPER underrated.

Like, they are trained constantly for 10 years. Full 12 hour days, using blasters, battle strategy (for the CC), all sorts of culture and language, physical training, sparring, simulations, and probably more that I’m not even getting.

(This part is more Headcanon)

They all probably know the basics of how to do everything. Everyone can theoretically fly a fighter, scuba dive, use speeders, cannons, heavy machinery, repair all kinds of weapons, ships, gear, and tech system.

Not to mention the variety of weapons they would be trained with

Now, are they all top notch and the best? No, fighter pilots don’t need to dive in the water so their scuba training is rusty and may need a crash course. But they know the basics.

This isn’t even talking about the practical knowledge they know. Most likely multiple languages, including Mando’a, the cultures associated, and where they can be found.

Ignoring all this, and my headcanon bit, they trained 12 hours a day for 10 years sparring and fighting at LEAST. These would be the scariest most skilled fighters around and I feel like they don’t get the kudos they deserve.

Now I need a fic where Alpha-17 somehow comes back and everyone is freaking tf out bc omg the man himself the legend he’s back!! Jedi are crying (master kenobi) and vod are shaking in their boots bc omg Alpha-17 is back and then there’s Anakin Skywalker, who is shaking for a different reason: bc bitch does not remember Alpha-17 like at all.

Like, he KNOWS who he is…. And he knows, that he SHOULD remember because they were on missions together…? And Obi-Wan was with them and….and he’s a guy…. And Anakin is freaking out bc look if u think he’s messed up now, he was even more messed up then, and as a 11 or what year old he was a BIT too all not there to remember some things, and it’s been AGES since Alpha-17. He’s just so embarrassed. Rex and Cody are so excited and Obi-Wan is thrumming with nervous excited jitters and for kriffs sake even Master WINDU is visibly excited for a change, while Anakin just needs to hope and pray it doesn’t show how out of the loop he is.
