I just want to be Teri Hatcher’s Lois Lane sometimes, you know?
Live my life, do great work, and just happen to have a giant puppydog of a man fall for me who ribs me a bit but respects me and waits for me to be ready to date him.
Like, the superman fantasy is about SO MUCH MORE than the muscle that guys like to attribute it to.
“Heyyyy, funny story, I kinda killed your fiancée.”

a tip for writing female characters: don’t be afraid to make her feral. just absolutely batshit. her actual intelligence? that can vary. but bring out the chaotic stupid tendencies. embrace her as a one brain cell enemy of the state
Kelsier’s primary character trait is his pure, insurmountable little shit energy, which allows him to become SUCH a NUISANCE to the IMMORTAL, UNBEATABLE Lord Ruler that he does the impossible and WINS.
And yeah, he’s utterly, obnoxiously loveable.
Kelsier is such a little shit, but I love him anyway

Little things
I love the little beautiful things in life which remind me that no matter how badly I might feel like I’m doing in school, or at work, or in my relationships, there is good in the world. Even if everything I’m afraid of happens, there will still be raindrops that shine under streetlights and leaves on trees that filter sunlight like they’re determined to paint the sidewalks glowing green. There will still be tiny humans learning something amazing for the first time, just starting to understand how amazing the sky and sun and trees really are.
I find that really comforting.
