She offered a hug, she wasn't sure if it was safe but, she felt it was right. "You're not useless, you, or some variant of you was the reason I am free now, that I have N, J, and V back. That I no longer flinch at the sound of steps on mahogany floors or the sound of a door closing. I'm free because of you."

She loaded up her messenger bag with a couple vials of flavoured oil, a drone first aid kit, and brought some welding goggles, JUST in case of sentinels before she flew off to where the pine trees were, just beyond the ridge. She landed near the foundry and listened.

A lot of other drone Tessa's have shorter hair, why is yours so long? Not in a bad way, I think it looks very nice on you.

Aw, thank you anon! Ok well, the short answer is, this is the wig J made for me when she put me together, and I just like how it looks.

The longer answer is, when I was human, it was the only part of myself I had SOME control over, but, sometimes due to stress, it wasn't so healthy, so there were some short spots.. Mother used to call me a ragamuffin because it was messy, but Jaybird always would tell me how beautiful I looked, eventually it grew back fuller but... ironically I didn't get to enjoy the spoils of it, because I died.

The way J made it she made it a lot nicer than how my human hair was, it's soft, warm but not too warm, but also it's got some weight to it. It's like a weighted blanket that is with me at all times. It's comforting. It feels like a safe warm hug. It might just be heat-proof softened nylon, but it's really special to me. Also long hair is very versatile for styling! And if I want to try a different length, I can just switch wigs, mind you the solver CAN make it grow back, as you saw after I had my 'accident' after my break up with J (we are on better terms now), but I'd just rather not cut it anymore ^^;

Plus sometimes, just like when I was a little girl, J will brush my hair. It's really relaxing.

So TLDR: I like how it looks, J made it for me, my hair is a comfort object, and I like brushies.

I started my educational practice and my health has worsened a little after finishing the course of treatment, so for now only sketches of my favorite girls 🫶
