it's the exact same thing every single time. exactly the same. why do people try to single out and exclude specific groups within their groups? I'm sure there is quite a variety of reasons, and a few I can think of, but regardless, it is blatantly the exact same shit every time. it reads the same. and it is so infuriating and appalling to witness.

This doesn't even mention the amount of people who won't stop posting snark making fun of ascendant fans as 'delusional' or 'not understanding abuse in their life' the unpleasant anon ask and even one of my friends in discord said that someone said to them "You are not a real asexual because we knew the reason behind why you are ascending astarion, you are just horny."

I participated in dragon age discourse, and there are several tiers to the discourse? Astarion spawn vs ascendant discourse is on the same toxic level as 'let's harass people who romance Cullen the wrong way and make a public blockist to condemn them."

No one should feel bad for ascending him. like first of all, aros and aces ARE oppressed in such an amatonormative world, but even if we weren’t, isn’t it the biggest goal of the lgbtq+ community to not be oppressed one day? we want a world where gay and lesbian people are no longer oppressed, which is a great thing, but when that happens, are we suddenly going to drop them from the community just because they “aren’t oppressed anymore”?

since when has oppression played a part in whether or not someone is queer?? trans women tend to get more shit than trans men even though both are severely oppressed, so are the former somehow more queer than the latter? last time i checked, the answer was, and still is, no...

if you aren’t allocishet, then you can consider yourself a member of the lgbtq+ community; not because of the oppression you face, but because you deviate from the allonormative, amatonormative, monormative, cisnormative, or heteronormative structures of society. period

So within two days of each other, Fox News writes an article comparing aromanticism and asexuality to pedophilia, and then Matt Walsh releases a video saying asexuality is a mental illness and asexuals are tricking teenagers into having depression.

Not sure what’s going on right now over in Conservative World, but it’s a hell of wild U-turn for them to suddenly switch from “Oh no! The left is sexualizing our children!” to “Oh no! The left is asexualizing our children!”

It terrifies me that there’s so much raging passion in the lgbt+ community that insist on marginalizing asexuals and implying that asexuals don’t deserve to have safe spaces. There’s still so much acephobia so I just wanna know which blogs are genuinely supportive and a safe space for asexuals

Heck, do you think p0rn stars want a random creep all over themselves? They don't and it's less about clothes and more about men not being able to comprehend women's bodies as anything more than an offering to them.

The definition of aroace is a person who doesn't experience sexual or romantic attraction. It doesn't matter whether or not she's sexualising herself, because her doing so would still not mean she is attracted to anyone. Fun fact: Women(especially woc) should be allowed to love and feel confident their bodies without weirdos thinking it's to please them.

When people say acephobia doesn’t happen in the queer community😒

Someone saying they hc a character they hate as asexual doesn't necessarily mean they're acephobe though. It's just interpretation. If a character doesnt show romantic interest in anyone they can be interpreted as ace it's not too far fetched and has nothing to do with whether or not they hate the character.

The said character is Neji Hyuga. And while yeah his sexuality is never explicitly shown and he can be interpreted as aro ace. But op hated neji, they didn't show any interest whatsoever in his character development and wasn't phased by his death. With that context, obviously you wouldn't be into any ships involving him. Op could've just said that. Saying they see him as aroace, while doesn't necessarily mean they're aphobe, does raise questions about how op sees aroace people.
