I’m tired of hearing people criticize cemetery boys because of how yadreils acts because that doesn’t align with how they think they should act. That’s how a lot of Latino families are, it’s not Aiden writing bad characters, it’s him writing Latino characters. Machismo culture is gonna be present and if you’re upset it wasn’t solved by the end of the book then womp womp. The point of the book is yadreil solving his families transphobia which is a step in the right direction. If you’re upset then the book clearly isn’t for you. Let Latino trans men have something, just because it’s queer doesn’t mean it’s for you. Whenever I see people posting about cemetery boys it’s about the queer aspect of it, let Latinos have representation and acknowledge it. (Also I do acknowledge Aiden isn’t the best at storytelling at times but that’s not what this is about)
