Lmao, to the ask abt rarepairs, have you ever considered Teo/Sokka?
Hear me out. Two nonbenders who put themselves on the bending playing field. They're both super smart and I feel like they'd have a lot of fun just creating together. It's obvious that Teo has the smarts of his dad but he doesn't have his dad's imagination, but Sokka has imagination to spare! Together they could make so much! Just, Sokka coming up with crazy ideas and Teo's like ":D that's genuis!" and finds a way to make it happen, or Teo getting stuck and Sokka having wild ideas abt how to fix it.
Teo is so easily impressed and Sokka likes showing off so much I just think they're a match made in heaven. Teo would forever indulge that shit and Sokka would forever be wanting to find new ways to show off for someone who appreciated it so much. Also like, I feel like Sokka would be the kind of partner to not just accept the disability but embrace it, like, one of my favorite ideas is Sokka being like "Yeah, my boyfriend can fly, what can yours do, walk? Lame." Also, just, Sokka carrying Toph was already cute, I want him to carry Teo even tho it's absolutely unnecessary.
Plus, the Mechanic and Sokka would be like, the best in laws??? "Oh yeah that was invented by my genius father in law!" "Oh have you met my genuis son-in-law?" And Teo would get to have such a good family and ugh just, ugh. UGH.
It's my favorite Sokka ship tbh and I'm the only one who ships it which, on that note, anyone who Ive talked to abt this is going to immediately recognize me, so if you know me, no you don't, I came here to talk abt a rare pair jsbdndnfn
THEY DONT EVEN HAVE A PORTMANTEAU ToT so I've just taken to tekka but that still sounds kinda dumb to me so if anyone has any batter ideas plz let me know.

!!!!! The tekka shipper here, I can't believe there's someone out there who's considered this before I brought it up, so glad I'm not the only one who saw it! Also, I hadn't thought abt the tech part, but I did kinda like tekka because it sounds like biblioteca and I just think they'd go on dates to different libraries ;w;. Teo would indulge Sokka's inner nerd, (though usually Teo is the only one who actually reads while they're there, Sokka's usually occupied trying to find cool stuff to show off to Teo)
Also, !!!! Tekka and Aang??? How had I not thought about this! Aang is my favorite and teoaang is so cute. Idk what their dynamic would be but Sokka's protectiveness over Aang combined with Teo's fascination with Aang while Aang just thinks these two incredibly intelligent nonbenders are the coolest people ever, I could get behind it jsbdndnd

I actually shipped Tekka!! But I forgot about it when I finished the show 😭 And when you reminded me I was like: yesss!! Them!! I loved reading your post and agree with your every word, you’re so based! This is such a good ship!! They are so cute! Platonic Tekka is already supreme (they are besties for sure, they have so much in common! Simply endless potential for friendship), but their love would be such a sweet and comforting one.
As for the ship name, Tekka seems fine (and it kinda sounds like tech, and they both have to do with tech. Idk) and it stuck with me pretty well. Maybe think about a name without their names, like “non-bender inventors” or “flying boomerang”, but these are too long and sound weird xD I tried my best :D
To the Teoaang shipper: thank you so much, too! The way you wrote about them made me smile and my heart glow 💞 Actually, I considered Teoaang in the beginning of “the mechanist” episode, but by the end of it I shipped Tekka :D Still, Teo and Aang are a couple made in heaven and I love them as much. Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with LoK and Kyoshi novels yet, but I loved reading about your ships from there! You make sense and sound really nice, I’m shipping your ships in advance!
Now we have come to a question… what about Sokka x Teo x Aang? 🤫
