Here's the most recent tail commission I completed. Brown (anodized aluminum) background with black (anodized aluminum) mottled stripes, and standard silvery aluminum on the underside. It measures 32 inches long, and has a lobster clasp at the tip for attaching things to.
I decided to take some progress photos of this as I was building it, so I have a nice sequence that I'll be uploading soon. It won't be a full tutorial, but maybe it'll be some help for people who keep asking me for instructions.
For more information on these dragon tails I make, check out my commission info page.

This dragon tail has a fading amber color pattern. It's composed of actual bronze down the center, blending into brown and orange anodized aluminum. The underbelly is standard uncolored aluminum. Also featured in the design is a full like of spikes down the spine.
The bronze when it's new is a shiny-penny copper color, and over time it oxidizes to a more matte and muted brown. I like the material a good amount, and I'm glad the commissioner for this was also excited about it. I don't get much chance to use the material.
I'm including the pattern I drew up for this coloration, in case people are curious. I'll also see about getting someone to model it before I ship it out, because I really liked the blend of colors on this tail and I'd like to get more photos.

This dragon tail is made of standard aluminum scales, with a blue anodized aluminum underbelly. It's my standard length of 35 inches long, and that's mostly it. Classic and simple. But at the request of the commissioner, it does have an engraving on the scales on the underside, right below the belt loops where it's attached. (The tail was commissioned as a gift.)
And I guess as an added bonus, the photo with the engraving gives a good shot of the belt loop attachments. There are two straps (made of stainless steel in a European 6-in-1 pattern) that your belt threads through, and if you want to make sure the tail stays well in place when you're wearing it, in between the two loops on the tail you can also thread the belt through the belt loop in the center of the back of your pants.
If you like these tails I make, how about checking out this page with information about them? http://armoreddragon.tumblr.com/tails (My commission queue is currently kind of deep, though. I'm working as fast as I can.)

Here’s an outfit with a bunch of my personal pieces. Most of these things I haven’t posted online before. The occasion for me wearing these was the anniversary party at the Wildfire Retreat this last weekend. (Wildfire is a spinning arts event that happens a couple times a year in New England. It has lots of juggling workshops and fire spinning.)
The shirt is made primarily of black anodized aluminum and black neoprene rubber, with an insignia inlaid into it made of blackened stainless steel. The pattern is a European 4-in-1 weave. When I made it originally I ran out of rings before being able to fill in the back completely, but I kind of liked it like that. So I have a pile of more rings sitting in my basement in case I decide to do that.
The horned headband is similar to this one, but with more horns.
The leather thing on my left arm was something I made the day I got a strap cutter. It links together with snaps, and was a lot of fun, but the sizing was super specific so I haven’t bothered offering it to the general public.
The arm bands and collar are your typical goth spike type of item. I thought I’d put them up on my Etsy, but it looks like I hadn’t. I don’t usually make much of a point of keeping those spikes in stock, though, so that’s probably fine.
The belt is in stainless steel in a Persian 6-in-1 sheet weave. It’s a very thick weave with a really nice texture and some interesting bending physics. It’s also the most time consuming weave I’ve ever made anything substantial out of. It took about an hour for every couple inches.
The rainbow tail is maybe the only of these things I’ve posted before. Here it is in another post. The diamond-shaped spade tip is made of birch plywood.

It’s a dragon tail! Surprising nobody!
Blue anodized aluminum with a stripe of yellow, and an underbelly of plain aluminum. This one measures in at 2 pounds 10 ounces and 29.5 inches long. It’s also got a lobster clasp that you can see just barely right at the tip.
And I grabbed a quick shot of the belt loop attachment, because it’s been a while since I posted a photo of that.
I’ve got a pile of masks to produce in the next week, but I’m planning on opening for May commission requests over the weekend.

This dragon tail commission is patterned to suggest a tropical sea. It’s got blue and green mixed together with flashes of silver, over an underbelly of sandy yellow. And it’s got a full line of spikes down the spine, and the leather spade tip is dyed turquoise.
It measures in at 29 inches long (31 with the spade tip), and weighs 3 pounds 2 ounces.
This was the last tail outstanding on my queue for now. I’m going to take a couple weeks and either work on personal projects (like maybe something new for Magic Meat Week? Is that happening again this year?) or spending my free time volunteering for Hillary Clinton in whatever capacity I can. Towards the end of the month I’m planning to open for tail commissions to be completed during November, keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested.

It's been a long time since anyone bought a necklace from me, but recently I've had a few people ask for collars for D/s and pup play stuff. So I was brushing up on good weaves for that. Full-Persian weave, in 2 ring sizes, one that works, one that's...way too stiff. The stiff one is stainless steel, the flexible one is bright aluminum.
I’ll probably post the reasonable one up on my Etsy soon in stainless steel. If there happens to be a big interest in it I may stock anodized aluminum colors in those ring sizes, but we’ll see.
