i hate school so fucking much and i’m thinking about it so here’s a memory of mine !!

School system: Reach out for help to a teacher if someone is being mean to you!!! they’ll help you!!

me: Hey can i work with a different group or even just alone? the boys in my group are making fun of me. and i’m the only one working.

teacher: that’s just how life works sweatie :)))) you have to learn to work in group settings one day or another :))) suck it up :))) you’ll be fine :))) stop being a little bitch about it :))) I saw them working while you were gone :))) and once while you were here :)) when you’re in the real world you’ll just have to deal with people being mean and not do anything about it ever :))))

me: oh you mean the time i asked them to help and they WROTE DOWN 27 AND THEN WENT BACK TO FUCKING AROUND??? YOU MEAN WHEN I LEFT THE ROOM TO GO GET IBUPROFEN BECAUSE THEY WERE GIVING ME A HEADACHE??? BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T HAVE SOMEONE TO MAKE DO THE WORK FOR THEM ANYMORE???

teacher: Yeah. I tried to get her (not the pronouns i use. she knows this) to calm down but she wouldn’t listen :)))

anyways i ended up crying on the couch with my mom that day!!! Miss Frichie or whatever the hell your name is i hope you lose your job you miserable bitch !!! <3 i’m not mean to teachers but honestly i’m glad you had to sit through that hellhole of a classroom !!!

Going from an American Public High School™ to a private-ish school is so fun. Every time I talk ab my old school I either get horrified looks or "Oh yea! Someone lit their homework on fire at my school too!"

Idk where that info is coming from but when I am it's more like

No notes during exams, only certain teachers will have "open note tests" a few times a year

Idk what kader or vmbo is

I usually get anywhere from 1 page to an entire packet of homework (the packets are done over the coarse of a week

The only actual paper or essay I've bad to write (I didn't do it lmao) is in English/Literature

LMAO I WISH, our grades are scored off a scale of 100, an A is 90-100, B is 80-89, C is 70-79, D is 60-69, and the rest of the numbers down to 0 are F's. Depending on how many classes you have you can add numbers together and your GPA (grade point average)

For example, if I had straight A's:

I have 8 classes (4 each day)

A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0

4•8=32

32/8=4.0

I keep learning things about the american school system and at this point i dont know whats true anymore so here are things i have been told that im not sure about

Yall can keep notes during the tests/exams

The average aducation level is kader/vmbo

How much homework do you get? Like a few pages per class + a paper once a while?

Straight A's are equal to 7,5 - 10's

My father annoys the shit out of me, he always spoke like he knew everything just because he was older than me. Even when I did research for hours just to know things I was interested in or was relevant to my life, he would tell me in a condescending tone “I can find 4 articles that say otherwise. Where’s your proof?” I’m failing one class (I have a 59%) and I said that I wouldn’t be failing any classes if I was in pretty much any other country, and he told me “Yeah, because you would be kicked out and dropped on the street.” He completely missed the fact that I was talking about how fucked up the American schooling system is, from the viewpoint of someone in it. My points are never listened to, never actually considered, just because he needs to feel superior and can’t handle the fact that maybe, just maybe, I know more about a specific topic than he does. But hey, at least I have a father, right?
