all the arguments in favour of he/him lesbians seem to be "theyre women or transmasculine nonbinary people so theyre still valid! no ones claiming *actual men* are lesbians" as a binary trans man lesbian is always so interesting. their acceptance of transmasc lesbians relies on the exclusion of binary trans man lesbians

it's began to frustrate me too, seeing every time someone asks what a he/him lesbian is the argument for it relies on that lesbian having 0 connection to manhood in any way whatsoever, rather than just "lesbians sometimes use he/him pronouns for gender expression, whatever that may mean to them" that can include butch/masc lesbians using it as a gender expression or being gnc or being transmasc or trans man or multigender or whatever. placing "don't worry they're not REALLY MEN :')" at the end when some of us. are men just in our own way

For those of you that think this is just about Destiel, I'm sorry you're wrong.

This is about Lily, who was the first of the special children to die. She was murdered and hung on a tower for shock value.

This is about Corbett, who was the first and only of the ghost facers to die. who's sexuality was used for comic relief (yes, I know we all enjoy the "Gay love can pierce through the veil of death and save the day" line, but let's call a spade a spade.

This is about Demian and Barns, whose relationship was used for comedic shock.

This is about Charlie, our first recurring LGBTQ+ character, whose brutal off screen death was used to "move the story along."

This is about Max Banes, whose story was forgotten about, even though there was obviously more to tell.

This is about Kaia, who was killed after expressing interest in Claire. And claire, for being almost erased from the narrative after the confirmation that she felt the same.

This is about AU Charlie, who lost TWO separate girlfriends and then was killed herself. (And erasing the scene where she awkwardly talks to Sam about her tryst with ROWENA)

And yes, it is about Castiel. The NB Angel in a Male vessel who fell in love with a man, and was killed after confessing said love.

And Dean Winchester, because honestly, who knows, but all signs point a certain way, but it is not our story to tell. it was his. And he was killed before he could. Before he could even explore what it means to be truly free, he was killed.

These aren't the only instances on the show either. There are several throughout ALL of the seasons where LGBTQ+ people have been used for comedy or shock value and then never heard from or seen again.

They could have done so much by just letting three little words, Hell, two fucking words, on screen, but they refused to make a stand and chose to pander to a dying audience.

So yes, we will celebrate the "Y yo a ti, Cas." We will try to figure out what went wrong in translation or editing, because this is so much bigger than Destiel.

For those of you who see these examples and say " see, you've always had rep, you just wanted to see Castiel and Dean together." Let me ask you? Is killing or writing off every LGBTQ+ member on your show really good rep?

For those of you who say " Well, Dean was always straight and changing it this late in the Game would have been pandering!" While, I know alot of people saw him as uber heterosexual, some of us never did, but that's not the point. People do come out later in life you know? Being anything other than strictly heterosexual is terrifying. There are so many risks. It takes years to build up the courage to be yourself, some people never even get the chance.it would not have been pandering, it would have been groundbreaking. It would have let people see that it is never too late to be free. But they didn't want to do that.

For those of you who think it was fetishization of two "hot dudes"..... maybe for some, and those people should be ashamed, because sexuality should never be fetishized. But get this, the story of Destiel was loved by all members of the community, as well as straight people too, and believe me, some of those members have no desire to see two dudes getting it on. It was the story of unconditional love and respect that drew us in.

This isn't just about Destiel. It IS about showing people that it's okay to love who you love and being free to be who you are, regardless of what society thinks.

So yes, we will go feral. We deserve it.

love seeing older meta of sotus and bmf. both shows are very deeply important to me, and thematically interesting to delve into. it’s too bad a lot of the meta is very bad (or not even trying) at disguising their distaste for krist. the meta that points at the casting choices elevating bmf - interesting. i think there’s a lot to discuss on the topic. the way krist and aye had just been in a romance together, and gawinkrist seemed really “random” at the time is similar to how kawi thinks things should go one way, only for something else to happen, and for that thing to be great. or the way kawi was hounded by the media about his sexuality.

but the inherent sort of implication it works so well because krist is easily “unlikable”? people implying krist is opposed to playing intimacy with men, and that means he can’t act? (haha, what I find hilarious is that krist himself isn’t like that. maybe what you’re seeing in “intimacy hating” is, you know, his character? the one he’s acting as? maybe arthit wipes his mouth after a kiss with kongpob because that’s how arthit is! not because of your preconceptions about krist) it’s infuriating! and i’m not naming names but let’s just say, i’m hoping everyone shuts the fuck up about their negativity surrounding krist when his next project, probably announced next month, is airing. I’m sick of it.

inspired by another one of my fave headcanons that has already been established a few times, involving Milan 😌

Jens has been following Lucas on Instagram for a few weeks

He’d come in his recommendations and as soon as Jens saw him he was clicking follow before he even knew what he was doing

But now that it was done he thought he might as well leave it—the guy probably wouldn’t think anything of it

Then Lucas follows him back and likes a string of his posts

And okay, Jens figures that isn’t the normal thing to do. That it’s obviously very purposeful. That it’s definitely this guy showing some form of interest. He considers doing it back, but he’s already been following Lucas for a few days now, so that might be a little too weird

But then Lucas makes a new post, and after a moment of hesitation, Jens leaves a comment instead. Casual but could also be flirty. Whatever way Lucas decides to take it

It becomes a thing. Liking and commenting on each other’s posts, too many jokes and ‘🔥’ emojis, but that’s as far as it goes

They don’t message each other, no matter how badly Jens wants to

He’s nervous about it. He’s never messaged a guy before like that. He’s hooked up with a few in person, and he’s not really hiding his sexuality as such but it’s also not public knowledge

Robbe and Sander know, as well as the other Broerrrs and Jana

But still, Jens is a bit hesitant, doesn’t really know what he’s doing, no matter how much he acts like it. For some reason, he can’t bring himself to go to Robbe or Sander and ask for their advice on this. He doesn’t want to appear that shy and cautious and dumb and he also doesn’t really want to tell them about Lucas yet. It feels private

Then he’s hanging out in the flatshare one day and he ends up alone with Milan for a while, deciding to hang around when Robbe goes out to meet Sander and bring him back too

And after a moment of hesitation he decides to go for it

“Hey Milan? Can I ask you about something?”

Once Milan assures him that yes, always he can, and sits down on the sofa next to him, giving him his full attention, Jens explains. “I think I’m...into this guy online but I don’t really know how I should message him”

Milan’s face brightens instantly, and his jaw drops and he lowers his voice before saying, “Okay, I know Grindr can be scary, but—“

And Jens understands his mistake and cuts him off. “No no no Milan, I follow him on Instagram”

And Milan just goes 😯 and giggles and apologizes and asks Jens to tell him more. And Jens tells him how they started following each other and interact on posts but Lucas still hasn’t messaged him and he feels a little awkward reaching out first. He doesn’t want to say too little or too much or anything stupid. He doesn’t want to either bore Lucas or scare him away. He wants him to reply

And Milan listens attentively and doesn’t bat an eyelid, even though Jens had never told him he was bi before this, only gently reassures him that this is a good start and then excitedly asks if Jens can show him a pic

So Jens pulls up Lucas’s page and shows his recent post to Milan and has no idea why Milan goes still and his jaw drops again

The only thing Jens can think to do is hesitantly ask, “he’s cute, right? And he doesn’t seem to be already dating anyone...”

And then Milan is smiling brilliantly at him and saying “No, he’s not” and before Jens can ask why he’s so sure and excited all of a sudden, he’s adding, “and of course you’re the pretty Belgian boy he’s been crushing on” and then when Jens only grows more confused, “Lucas is my cousin, Jens”

And this was the last thing Jens expected, which is stupid, because he’s heard Milan talk about his cousin before, the one he always goes back to the Netherlands to visit, and then he’s a little embarrassed to just admitting to having a crush on one of Milan’s family members to Milan

But then Milan’s words from before register and he wonders if Lucas really thinks he’s the ‘pretty Belgian boy’ Lucas has apparently told his cousin about

And Milan evidently isn’t bothered, whispering ‘oh my god’ with his hands pressed to his cheeks and a massive smile and then he’s patting Jens’s shoulder and excitedly making a plan

The first message Jens sends Lucas is a selfie of him and Milan, looking at each other in mock surprise, with the caption “so apparently I know your cousin??”

He didn’t have to worry about boring Lucas or scaring him off, because he’d been feeling the exact same way and just waiting for Jens to message first, and of course Milan was instantly texting him with a warning to “reply to this boy!! I promise he’s a catch”

it's pointless, really.

if touya has learned anything from this shitty life of his, it was that it's always been pointless.

it didn't matter. never did, never would.

but sometimes, when the world stops spinning and the flames fall, when he's left with nothing but the broken dreams and blistering soul he's always carried in the palm of his hand—he'd wonder.

just like anybody else, he'd wonder what could have been.

in a house just across the street he wanders, he spots a family eating super. warm golden light seeps through the blinds, shadows within dancing with life. talking, smiling, laughing.

loving.

a home.

on the other side, he sees a home.

he turns and keeps walking.

on nights like these—on the nights he wanders and wonders—there's always one place he ends up.

the flickering sign is the only greeting he receives as he slinks through the entryway, the heavy weight of his boots muffled on rotting wood. he slips into the booth at the very back without so much as a glance thrown his way. the bar is near empty, of course. much like the glass that sits before him. whiskey, probably, with nothing but a sliver of melting ice floating within it.

graveyard shift, he hears you call it. it's fitting. for a dingy bar for wandering corpses and lost souls, it's fitting.

you whisper something about making ends meet into the cell craddled to your ear. doing what's necessary, you say. he scoffs.

you hang up and slip the phone in your pocket, rag in hand once again as you reach for a grimy glass and begin wiping it clean.

if only it were that easy.

but there's no fun in easy, now, is there?

he looks down at his hand, laid out on the tabletop, scars and scalds for all to see.

there is no one, of course. never was.

with a dark chuckle he dips a single finger into the glass, watching as it freezes over with blindingly blue flames. and then he rises, and walks straight out the door.

he doesn't look back, not even when the sinister gleam of his fire winks at him from the puddles beneath his boots and the familiar stench of burning flesh fills his lungs.

if the whole place burns down—well, it doesn't matter.

so he keeps going, a single drop of blood staining the dying ice at his feet with the ashes of his heart.
