All the archangels once looked like how you imagine, attractive humans with beautiful wings. Since the Rebellions, where Lucifer Fell, and the Binding of Abbanon, Angels were not supposed to look perfectly humanoid or have replications of Hearts and Brains

We will see how well God can Control these Angels, he’s made to look more akin to puppets
