Cap Coz, Fouesnant, France: Cap Coz is a very slender spit, oriented from west to east, which partially closes the northern part of the bay of La Forêt, which is part of the commune of Fouesnant (Finistère) and located near Port-la-Forêt. The coastal spit of Cape Coz was, for the first time in living memory, cut in three places in December 1865 under the effect of a tidal wave. In a petition addressed in 1871 to the general councillor of the canton, the residents denounced "the carts come (...) load sand on the top of the dunes and even in the breaches. Cape Coz is thus threatened with destruction in a more or less short time, if things are allowed to take their natural course for a while." Wikipedia

Voici un autre genre de promenade contemplative, idéale pour les jours de mauvais temps...
C’est un voyage dans la Bretagne du XIXème siècle, telle que les auteurs l’ont vue et ressentie : villes, villages, églises, dolmens, paysages et gens du crus. Ce récit fut pour moi une occupation agréable durant ces derniers jours de pluie, cependant si vous n’aimez pas les longues descriptions : passez votre chemin.

This summer’s plans: a road trip with my little brother and sister along the French West Coast. Starting in Paris, we’ll head off to Bretagne (Brittany) to see Mont Saint-Michel, the famous city that becomes an island when the tide is high. Then we’re driving alongside the rough, rocky coastline of the penisula and enjoy all the dishes with fish and ‘fruits de mer’ (shellfish). Next stop is La Rochelle, a picturesque seaport town with beautiful towers that mark the entrance of the harbour. The end of our road trip will be Bordeaux, famous for its wines. We’ll be borrowing our parents’ car and travel from campsite to campsite with our tent.
