Just finished the fourth Bridgerton book and ughh I'm so irritated. Colin you cannot spend the entire book being a bland flavourless potato and then get mad at Penelope for being talented and having a personality. You just can't. Stop being so petty.
AHHHHH y’all i ordered all 9 bridgerton books (the original 8 plus violet’s and the extra stories) and they came yesterday!! i’m so excited, i’ve already started reading the duke and i 😩 to be honest i really just want to read polin’s book, but i need to read in order 😭 i’m so obsessed with this show and i’ve heard the books are even better, so yes i did just drop $100, what about it?? i have a feeling it will be so worth it!!
my favorite thing about book colin is that he is always hungry, it’s so funny every time it’s mentioned because he’s like “where’s the food?” he’s so impatient i can’t 😭 and the other characters always make sure to ask for extra food when colin visits because they know he’s a big back 💀
Anthony Bridgerton | Jonathan Bailey
Its been almost 36 hours since the release of Bridgerton Season 2 aired and I have binged it, processed it (to a certain extent) and have read multiple multiple opinions and even though it wasn’t what I expected it to be, it wasn’t as bad as some of the people have made it to be. Yes it was faulty at some places, but for all that is, for me it really lived it up to the name Bridgerton after all it is what the show’s name is (I am looking at all those who have repeatedly stated if Simon is not there it is not worth watching) and honestly maybe I would have once agreed maybe, but Jonathan Bailey is chef’s kiss and nobody can take Anthony Bridgerton from him. He was convincing, captivating, charming, caring and cruel in the best ways possible.
This is an Anthony Bridgerton appreciation post and I will not be accepting any slander or libel towards him because he was amazing in season 2. Hell I loved in season 1 with his hellish and boar of an attitude because even then he was always there for his family. His bond with Violet is something I have loved from the very first exchange they had. She has always been there to put him in his place and guide him even after his father’s death.
This para is for those blaming him for asking Edwina’s hand in marriage. Did you forget what happened the last time he acted on his heart, Sienna with all her reasoning did shut the door on his face. Even after all the close calls with Kate , he never did receive a verbal consent of yes she would be willing to accept him, because just like him for her too family, Edwina came first which she had repeatedly made clear. Again he was ready call off the marriage, it was Kate who asked him not to. Anthony’s action after that were nothing but a way to fulfil what we saw in the first episode, a task that he his supposed to do and expected out of him much like all else.
The show did actually show us less Anthony and Kate (which again 1 fault) but it did show us Anthony Bridgerton and for that I am grateful. To see him going from a child to becoming a viscount within a few hours was indeed painful, and to having it relive that experience not once but twice with Kate, yes well Jonathan Bailey you made me cry. (Goes and watches the scenes because I like to hurt myself apparently). Anthony had to become a viscount, take care of all his siblings, be there for his mother and practically play father for Gregory and Hyacinth. Anthony did what he thinks was right and just like always it was about his responsibility and duty and to ensure he lives up to the name Bridgerton.
Jonathan Bailey you are a work of art and I cannot wait for the heights and praise you achieve and receive in the coming future.

He angered me beyond measure in the book but I cannot help but want him
And I hate it because the regency setting makes me say shit like "plagues my mind" instead of more modern less pompous stuff and it sounds even more exaggerated
