Honestly, I really hope with the next few seasons we get more scenes like this. I love when these two have positive interactions and just enjoy each other’s presence. No “stupid Jew”, no “fatass” and no yelling; just positivity! I think a lot of people can agree that these scenes are cute regardless of whether you ship Kyman or not 💚❤️

I do ship Kyman myself, so I just wanna have my fun real quick and point out the little detail that Cartman put his arm on Kyle’s shoulder and Kyle didn’t mind at all!!! See, Eric? Be kind to Kyle and you’ll get positive attention from him! Gosh, I love these two 💖💖

Tbh I think a lot of the fandom agrees that the whole Cartman/Kyle rivalry has gotten a little bit out of hand. It was really funny in earlier seasons where they were obviously frenemies and still had their moments where they enjoyed being around each other. But in the past…10 seasons?? It seems like it’s just gone overboard and became one of the primary focuses of the show, especially in season 20-21 where it was the main plot. At the same time, Kyman has been hinted at so many times to a point where I think something is planned and how these two really feel about each other is going to spill at some point (and probably very soon). The fandom goes wild when they just act like they want to be around each other like how everyone reacted to the one scene in “Help, My Teenager Hates Me”.

Trey and Matt take feedback and care about what the fans want while also making sure the writing comes from their own imagination. I think the build up to Kyman is real and they really want to do something with the concept. And another reason I think Kyman would be the best ship to become quote on quote “canon” is because it’s fresh out of the oven as a plot line and it would be hella hilarious! Think about it: two rivals who always thought they hated each other realize they’re gay and try to navigate a confusing, dysfunctional new relationship. I could go on forever about how much this dynamic works and how perfect it would be for South Park (even if just for a season or two) but it’s late and I have the flu so I’ll save that for another day 😝

If anybody wants to debate the topic of Kyman I would love to! Please be respectful though 💖

edit: I also want to mention that a think Kyman would make a good subplot, not the main focus of the show. This is a comedy, not a Wattpad fanfiction

Lmao I love how in Trey and Matt’s commentary for “Cartman Finds Love” neither of them even mentioned what Cartman said on the Megotron like it wasn’t relevant. Seriously I love these guys 🤣

But I never expected them to say much about anything Kyman related because if they were going to say it out loud they would have said it in the show. But that’s the beauty of subtext!

One of my Kyman “behind the scenes” theories is that after season eleven, the same season with the Imaginationland commentary where Trey said that Cartman wasn’t gay for Kyle, either Trey or Matt went “hold on, maybe we’re onto something”. And so they made the VERY FIRST episode of season twelve have those little scenes where somebody called Cartman and Kyle lovers and Kyle was the only one with a negative reaction. And somewhere down the line they made it into a mutual thing instead of being only on Cartman’s end. When they think something’s funny they add it in the show, and Kyman is fucking hilarious. Just a thought, nothing big.

Something I’ve noticed is a recurring pattern in Kyman scenes is whenever Cartman shows up, Kyle makes 😧 this face when he sees him and then he gets angry like 2 seconds later LMAO. I think that face though is Kyle’s natural body language reaction to when he sees Cartman. I think that’s him getting nervous or some shit bc he actually likes Cartman, but then he tries to cover it up by looking pissed off to hide his feelings. But the best example was in “Cartman Finds Love” when Cartman told Kyle he loved him, first Kyle made that surprised face, and then got angry later on in the scene. A lot of people think that was like Kyle’s genuine reaction to Cartman telling him he loves him, bc Kyle loves Cartman back and he thought Cartman might’ve meant it at first. It was when Cartman was like “when we kiss there’s magic” that Kyle got all mad bc Cartman made that shit up so I think that’s when Kyle just assumed this was another trick. But yeah, Kyle actually makes that face A LOT when he sees Cartman. Idk maybe Kyle is just surprised and I’m looking too much into this, but it’s just weird to me how Kyle doesn’t IMMEDIATELY get angry when he sees Cartman, it’s more of a second reaction for him.

I’m fully convinced that in different circumstances where Kyle isn’t pissed off, he would have a much different reaction to Cartman just randomly taking his hand. I think he’d just be silent about it and be thinking “Oh…this is nice.” One of the cuter sides to this ship 🥹

Why Does Nobody Write Middle School Kyman Fics???

I constantly see writings where they fully realize and admit their feelings in high school or older! It really gets dull after awhile tbh, and because they’re more mature and aged it just doesn’t have the same spark as when Kyle and Cartman were younger. The fact that they’re immature boys who have a subconscious mutual crush on each other gives the relationship life, you know?

So why not write about them in middle school? It’s a fresh concept and makes a lot more sense if you think about it! I mean, what happens in 6-7 grade? You arrive in a new school with kids from other places and puberty hits for everyone which leads to all kinds of questions regarding identity! It’s the most missed opportunity ever! If you wanna take canon into consideration as well, Liane and all of Eric’s peers are starting to push back on his antics which is causing him to change for the better, and he’s getting a long with Kyle a lot better then before. Don’t you think that along the way, they’d both realize they’re gay for each other? I mean, the majority of the school kinda knows…

Come on, write middle school fics! Write gay 6th graders! Please!

Has anyone made a kyman animatic with the song "your stupid face"? because this song has so much kyman potential! if an artist does it I'll be forever grateful. (even tho I won't be able to watch it if you put it in youtube sonce it's banned where I come from)
