That’s exactly what I was thinking. Like yes, Edwin may be attracted to the Cat King, but that doesn’t automatically mean they should be in a relationship. I don’t think I’m going to like this ship, but I am going to try to understand it
Chat let’s be real for a second. Can anybody explain to me the appeal of the ship Catwin (Cat King x Edwin)? I’m trying to expand my views on media, but I just don’t get this specific ship. Like they just don’t have that kind of chemistry?
I do see this, but, and this is a genuine question, how do you see this ship growing? I was under the impression that Edwin was simply giving the Cat King a confident goodbye because he hadn’t been confident enough before. Yes, I see that they are both attracted to each other, but how is this ship healthy? (I don’t think that’s the right word, but I can’t remember the word I am looking for)

Domestic Catwin idea
Edwin coming home super tired from a stressful case and the cat king looks like gif 1 and when Edwin flops down on a sofa or bed the cat king just looks at him like gif 2. With complete adoration and love. And they just cuddle for hours and the cat king sleeps on his chest and Edwin just lays there messing with his hair and feeling the vibration of his purring and all the stress and exhaustion melts away because of the comfortable situation and even though he can't sleep he feels rested.
Then the cat king waked up and helps alleviate the stress a different way 🤭
Then they go back to cuddling just less dressed and more sweaty

Why ship Edwin with Charles when the Cat King fucking exists ?! Edwin & Charles also literally remind me a little the case of the duo Alec & Jace :
I would like to point out that I have nothing at all against the Edwin & Charles ship and that they could surely work completely in the future if Charles ever returns Edwin's feelings with certainty (I also think that they will surely be canon in the future if continuation of the netflix show there is). I even like them a little. But I definitely don't feel the spark between them, compared to Edwin with the Cat King... Sorry not Sorry !
