Napisana przez Franciszka Karpińskiego kolęda pt. "Pieśń o Narodzeniu Pańskim", znana powszechnie jako "Bóg się rodzi". Została stworzona na zamówienie marszałkowej Izabeli z Czartoryskich Lubomirkiej. Zabrzmiała po raz pierwszy w 1792 r. w Starym Kościele Farnym w Białymstoku. Śpiewana i grana na melodię w rytmie poloneza. (Choć początkowo śpiewano ją na wiele innych melodii).
Nazywania "Królową Polskich Kolęd"...
Moja ulubiona kolęda...
(Poniższe wykonanie jest, wedlug mnie dobre, choć nie wybitne. Jednak istotne było dla mnie niepomijanie żadnego fragmentu kolędy. Niestety, niewiele jest wykonań, w których zaśpiewane jest wszystkie pięć zwrotek... A szkoda, bo moim zdaniem to właśnie wszystkie te pięć zwrotek razem tworzy pełną i szczególnie wartościową całość...)
Bardzo ową kolędę cenię, głównie za to, że jest w zasadzie wszystko, co powinno w kolędzie być: zawarcie treści z Biblii, podkreślenie wartości, w imię których żył, działał i poświęcił się Chrystus; patriotyzm, wiara oraz pewnego rodzaju nadzieja i uniwersalność...

Those three Christmas ghosts probably could have stopped Hitler from committing world war 2. But what they did for that old guy was cool too I guess.
