I was talking to my friend about how clownfish can change sexes (They live in matriarchal groups, and if the dominant female in a group dies, the dominant male will turn into a female and assume her position) and he was like, ‘why aren’t clownfish trans icons? They’re fish that change genders!’ and I think he was onto something. Petition to make clownfish trans icons, anyone?

I wanted to draw something for pride, but I had no idea what! Then I came across the clowncore aesthetic, and I knew—that this was what I wanted to do!
Because, of course, I’m a tired, Pansexual clown—that is my final form.

Clownfish
This is based on an old picture I took at the aquarium when I was younger! Was intending to draw jellyfish or sea slugs but ended up drawing a clown fish overall I like how this turned out. I wanted to challenge myself with the addition that this clownfish is in an aquarium so the fluorescents would have a definite effect on the color palate.
