Ghost couldnt help but feel the doubt. He knew the other man loved him, but the subconscious doubt of not being enough for the other was still there. Leaving a horrid and rottening feeling in his mind and the pit of his stomach. It was a horrible feeling that made his stomach tighten and twist. The tightening reached his throat. Ghost knew he wouldnt be able to respond without having his words choked up. So he didnt respond as he just pulled his lover into a hug. Chest to chest. Face burried in the others neck. Each others heartbeats felt. Taking in the intimacy. Taking in the others scent.

My god. how addictive the others scent was. Ghost knew he could never get tired of the scent. It was so familiar, and it warmed ghost’s heart. Making the warmth of feelings and intimacy increase.

Both filled to the brim with love. Familiarity, comfort, and safety. It all felt so right in this moment. It absolutely did as they swayed back and forth in each other’s embrace. Forgetting everything else but the two of them. The rest of the world didnt matter anyways when they had each other, right? At least not right now.

LIKE, THEIR WRITING WAS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS IVE SEEN. THEY ALWAYS FED MY LOVE FOR THIS CERTAIN SHIP THAT I FELL INLOVE WITH IT!! (IVE REREAD THEIR WORKS SO MANY TIMES IDEK HOW MANY 😢). AND I JUST CHECKED UP ON THEIR AO3 ACC FOR UPDATES AND I SAW THEIR MOST RECENT FIC WAS TURNED TO “BY ANONYMOUS” WITHOUT A UNDERLINE (WITH UNDERLINE MEANS ITS ANONYMOUS IN A COLLECTIVE RIGHT? AND WITHOUT MEANS IT WAS ARCHIVED??)

AND Y’KNOW WHAT ELSE?? THERES BEEN MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AT LEAST MORE THAN 4-5 TIMES WERE THEY QUIT/ SLOWED DOWN UPLOADS BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE SO DEMANDING FOR MORE☹️☹️. LIKE IF THATS THE REASON THEY STOPPED I FEEL SO BAD BECAUSE THEY SEEMED SO PASSIONATE ABOUT THOSE FICS TIL PEOPLE GOT LIKE THAT.

LIKE, OF COURSE I ALWAYS FEEL BAD WHEN SOMEONE DOES THAT. BUT I FEEL EVEN WORSE IF IT HYPOTHETICALLY MADE THEM QUIT. AND I THINK IT MUSTVE HAPPENED TODAY OR YESTERDAY NIGHT ☹️☹️. I HONESTLY RLLY HOPE EVERYTHING IS OKAY WITH THEM URHEHJSJSNA :(((

i havent been on tumblr in FOREVER but this is so real. there’s been so many times w fics more frequently that i’ve thought “he’d never do that!” for that exact reason from his story. ghost and any other male SA rep (or just any rep in general) deserves to be remembered instead of it just being forgotten. and i wish more people would keep this in mind honestly

tw: sexual assault mention (not really explicit but just in case)

not enough people talk about Ghost being a victim of SA and it makes me so sad. IT'S LITERALLY SHOWN ON PAGE IN THE COMICS YOU CANNOT DENY THAT IT HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!

the comics were published 2009 when most media wouldn't even touch on male SA victims unless it was to make fun of them. we don't even get many empathetic portrayals of it in recent years!!! (whether the perpetrator is a man or woman). Ghost is quite literally the first good male ID'd SA victim rep I've seen in a piece of media that I enjoy.

it also shows disassociation (not dissociation) by having Ghost literally separate Simon Riley from himself. He tells his backstory by pretending it happened to someone else and calling Simon Riley an "old friend" of his that died.
