also- if any One-Piece fic writers or hell- fanfiction enjoyers/fanartists in general wanna join the server just lmk! writing is not a requirement, it just means that your works will get added to the collection- only if you want them too, of course.

it's a very open space for One Piece fic fans to just chill and talk about whatever one piece piece of media they're consuming or creating at that moment! it's a small group right now which means that all of us consider the other friends which means that judgment- unless it's joking, of course- is normally not accepted. we are open about ships, headcanons, art, or just gen anything you may enjoy regarding anime/One Piece

i know One Piece fanfiction discord servers are lacking atm, which is why i started this in the first place. as i wanted a space where everyone who enjoys the show and especially the fan content of it can hang out and talk about whatever is on their mind without fear of judgement. after all, in the end of the day, it is fiction, which is a mentally me and all of the members try and keep.

Edit: The list is longer, as while this was sitting in my drafts my fellow writer in this collection and friend Grey messaged me and was like 'you missed a few ships' then proceeded to list off a whole grocery list of ships she's written for that are now in this collection. so it's now an open to find out the rest kinda deal for both Platonic and romantic, as we've both written a lot for both.

Making me realize i use the "bookmark" feature wrong...

I use it for fics that i know im not finishing anytime soon but will be good for later so i use the "notes" feature with bookmarking to note which chapter i was in and when i bookmarked it lol

I use the "mark for later" as my "current reads" list

I haven't done this yet, but I know I should. I like anyone being able to read my stuff. I write not only for my enjoyment, but the enjoyment of others. Having people see it is kind of the point. Yes, I know what might happen, but I haven't had the heart to make any of my stuff on ao3 only for those registered.

ICYMI, there was fear that companies were scraping public AO3 fics to train their AI without the consent of AO3 or its users. That fear has been confirmed.

AO3 has written about what they’re doing (and what they’re not able to do), and they recommend restricting your work to AO3 registered users only. [Instructions here]

This gross misuse of the archive by techbros is why I’ve locked down my fics for the foreseeable future. I recommend the rest of you do the same.

I typically end up just posting it after a finish writing a chapter and then if I'm really bored I'll go through and read one of my works (and make appropriate changes if necessary)

Hi, so I know that you are writing 'Love Gun' in a language that is not your first. Do you publish in both or just English? What drew you to focus on MacCready as a companion and how did you come up with the concept for Bluebird, your 'f!sole'?

Howdy!

I'm writing and publishing it only in English. This is because I want to familiarize with this language in a way that is not only translation— you see, a language has its quirks and things that, when it's seen from other languages' perspective it couldn't make sense. Slang and metaphors are unique according to the language and this remarks the reason why I'm writing in English.

For your second question, at first I was interested in Deacon and in fact, Love Gun was originally planned to have him as the protagonist! It fitted many of the ideas I had and some of those remain in the actual version, but I struggled to make it work. After days and days of uncertainty, I found an old picture I had on my phone about an old playthrough where MacCready was my companion. My mind exploded. Then, after I played FO4 once more and watched a lot of YT videos about companions reactions, I realized he was the one and only. Someone resilent, professional and yet kind, funny and with a lame taste in fashion was a perfect target.

And lastly, Bluebird. Oh my, she was so fun to imagine. As I said previously, this story was first planned as a Deacon x fem!ss and she was completely different to how she now is. I was inspired by this fic (which name I can't remember and God, I'm still looking for the name) where fem!SS was a foreigner, Swedish I think, and had moved to America with her husband to America. She struggled to talk with Deacon and others and the times she forgot how to say a word and her thick accent had driven me insane— in a good way ofc. I had fallen in love with that concept and wanted to play with it. MacCready was more similar to Sole Survivor than I had thought and that was essential to develop his arc in Love Gun.

Bluebird was originally planned to be a scientist! But after some research in AO3, I discarded it because it was overused! I wanted to come up with something different on its own way and after some research, the Bluebird we know came to be. However, the last thing I came up was her pseudonym. I wanted something memorable and tbh, I wanted it to be related with the word "bird" in honor to an ol' WIP of mine called "Songbird". After giving it a lot of thought with WORD opened in my laptop, the name Bluebird came up between some of the suggestions I had and fell in love with it as soon as it was written.

reading all of an authors fanfics then finding out they aren’t on the platform anymore feels like losing a loved one… we fought, cried, laughed, and loved together…

I don’t care how much weird shit is on it, AO3 is the most wholesome site on the internet. It’s run by people who love fanfic and I have spent countless hours reading fics there that brought me great joy. Love AO3 always.

Rewatched one of the Tom and Jerry movies called Tom and Jerry: The Lost Dragon, and it just seemed funny that Tom was considered the Mama throughout the film since he was the first person the Puffy saw when they were born.
