Klaus Hargreeves Cosplay! (N 4)

the cosplay is a bit so-so because I did it last minute just to go to an anime event in my city.... I wasn't even going to wear contact lenses but I found these in my drawer (I got them as a gift from somewhere and I forgot about their existence lol) and I ended up in a Mc Donalds bathroom to put them on. I have a slight feeling that I almost went blind because I didn't let the lenses soak before putting them on. (Don't follow my example. Wash your hands, the lens case very well and use lens serum. Take good care of the health of your eyes, guys!♡) ly all! Take care of yourself!

Hey moon knight fandom! I need an opinion! I’ve been wanting to do a moon knight cosplay for a while now but then my brain was like “what if I gender bend a mr.knight cosplay?” And I was wondering would this look good as a cosplay? It’s a rough sketch idea of what I would be doing and the objects for the cosplay are easily obtainable to me,

Hey Moon Knight Fandom! I Need An Opinion! Ive Been Wanting To Do A Moon Knight Cosplay For A While Now

Thoughts, opinions, and helpful additional ideas to add on are welcome! Please would it be recognizable as a gender bend cosplay?

I’ll be making my own moon sticks as props to and if any one has any tips on how to make the eyes of the masc glow please share any tips, I haven’t been able to find any thing to use and I’m making the mask my self

Cosplay tip: Storing patterns

So you’ve been cosplaying for a while, and you’ve accumulated quite a few home-made patterns. Don’t throw them away! They might come in handy for a future cosplay, so keep them in a neat binder with plastic sleeves like this:

image

I am a librarian so I like to obsessively label things. You could label each sleeve with the character’s name, source material, and list the patterns stored inside:

As I said, storing them this way would come in handy for future cosplays. Say for example you want to make some gauntlets so you can cosplay your latest waifu. Just look through your binder and BOOM you’ve found a pattern for gauntlets you’ve made for a previous cosplay. wow!

Plus it keeps things nice and neat. Also wow!

hi! i read your wig tutorial and it's super helpful! but i had a question, what if bobby pins don't stay in your hair? they constantly slip out of mine so i find it hard to keep my hair in place and all @_@ thanks!

Hi there, lovely! I’m glad you found my tutorial useful!

Okay, so when I was in color guard in high school I actually ended up learning a lot about bobby pins.

The first thing I’ll ask you is if you’re using them right. Most people don’t know that the right way to use bobby pins is to pin the squiggly side down (so it’s the side closest to your head), rather than up.

If that doesn’t work, make sure that the pins you’re using aren’t old or too cheap (i.e. make sure they’ve got that plastic bit at the end).

If that’s still not working, I’d recommend using Spin Pins (little cork-screw pins they usually use for fancy up-dos, found in Target, CVS, ect.) to pin your hair up under your wig cap and then using the little snap hair clips to keep the strays away from your face (though idk if those would stay in your hair any better) and then, as always, just spray and gel the ever-loving shit out of your hair to make sure it just all stays back.

Try using just an extra lot of bobby pins and those Spin Pins I mentioned earlier to pin your wig down afterwards.

Oh! Also, are the pins not staying simply because you might have thick hair? If that’s the case, just try to make sure you catch less hair with them and use a lot. If it’s because you have fairer hair, try to make sure you catch more hair with them and use a lot.

I know this is a lot of information, but hopefully this helped!

I haven’t had any major problems with bobby pins myself, so if anyone could let me know if these methods worked for them (I’m posting this public for anyone with a similar problem; I hope that’s okay, @lisidoesart) or if they didn’t work, I’d appreciate it.

Thanks for the question!
