Cult Of The Lamb Kallamar - Tumblr Posts

Not sure if I will ever manage to finish the lil Kallamar fic I had planned and started for months at this point. But I still wanna share the idea.

Basically, Kallamar was supposed to be a very sickish child. Would get sick easily, was very fragile and sensitive. His mom would take care of him and try to keep him safe.

At some point he would start hearing a voice, nobody else seemed to hear. Following it outside the borders of the village at some point...finding the blue crown, which would whisper so softly and welcoming, as to not scare the child.

Time forward, the crown would keep the squid healthy and he could also keep the people of his village safe...despite the crown wanting expansion, claiming to having the cure to all pestilence. As much as the cause of it.

The fic would end with people obviously dying from old age, Kallamar wanting the crown to help his mother but all it has to say is "That is no curse, nor sickness, young God, this is age and death which will come for all mortals eventually."

Kallamar would stay at the dead and empty village for a while, till Shamura finds him.

Aka, I wanted to give a bit of more depth to Kallamars fear of death.

Once integrated into the cult, I would like to inagine that the bishops sort of... pick up jobs opposite of what they represented as gods?

Leshy,rage-filled as he was once he was (unwilling) indoctrinated,found himself a little aimless and more than a little isolated. It took a lot to crack his shell but he eventually became a bit of an every-man, a jack of all trades. He mostly settles with taking care of the farm

Heket, once representing famine,now a mortal bound to the dreadful affects of starvation,found a talent in gastronomy. Her main specialty lies in meat oriented dishes. Aside from that ,she helps the lamb train in physical combat as she can literally punch through concrete

Kallamar,he of pestilence, gets infatuated with medicine and the art of healing. His mortality subjects him to many an infection and thus he dedicates himself to studying was to combat sickness. His house, a box afloat upon a candlelit pond,is surrounded by medical tents

Shamura, avatar of war and conquest, despite their debilitating injury, has found peace with cataloguing the resources of the cult and aiding the lamb in fortifying it . Besides that, they've discovered a hobby in decor and designing

I did a line up! This is mostly for personal use and the lines are NOT completely straight but it sure is a line up

Including the Bishops, the Lamb, the Goat, Dr. Sozonius and the fankids! I'm considering doing one for the followers but that would require me to draw full-bodies of them so idk if I will

I am removing the cross horns from my Bishop designs because I always forget them, so ignore those... uh yeah!

I'm finally finalizing my ideas for the Goat-verse bishops!

Only they're in a sketchbook because I'm helping my mom out at her clinic again today

I went for similar type animals for them instead of same species, different breed mostly to change up shape language and also I have no idea what breed of animal my original designs are

Shamura is a scorpion and their color is yellow

Kallamar is a cuttlefish and his color is green

Narinder (not pictured) is a Maine Coon and his color is purple

Heket is a salamander and her color is blue

Leshy is an earth worm and his color is red

I really like how Leshy turned out, he looks so awkward and iPad kid-core. I'm also working on some of the NPCs as well, I can't wait to finalize those designs and color in the Bishops! Coming soon. But not too soon. Cuz, yunno, working for my mom rn

Dayna being generally the same height as Heket actually makes so much sense to me (I didn't do any of this on purpose lmao

Some fucking around in hopes of maybe finding out.

This wet man gives me such a hard time and I like never draw him. Kallamar, I love you but your head is shaped like a overcooked egg.

I felt like the way I was starting to draw the Bishops was getting too comfortable. On the creature to some guy scale I was getting too close to some guy. Need to get back into the fucked up creature zone.

I have that thing where I want to draw characters with very strong shapes but also at the same time highly detailed and semi realistic. Did one doodle on either side of the spectrum and then tried to find a middle ground on some expressions. And the Bishops and their fucked up little freaky ass faces are so hard to get to express emotions.

COTL AU

I have thought of an AU. Imagine if the lamb didn’t make the Bishops their followers. What if after the fight, the Bishops were sent into a deep sleep and woke up when the humanoid animals went all extinct and now humans roamed the world. They Bishops are now small, weak and almost powerless. They have to slowly regain the power of their crowns before taking over again but then they are all found by humans, some who decide to take them in and take care of them. Well, at least most of them are taken in. Narinder would not let himself be adopted.

AU is basically a ‘What if the Bishops were normal ish animals and had humans to care for them?’ Shamura would be the pet tarantula of a genius yet overly stressed college student. Kallamar be living in an aquarium and one of the workers, a young adult, there cares for him a lot. Narinder is a stray cat that is often aggressive towards people but eventually warms up to one person, a chill schooler. Heket is a fat frog who be treated like queen cause frogs are the best by a rather hyper middle schooler. And Leshy is taken in as a pet by a primary school student.

Who would these characters be? Idk, it’s up for interpretation, it’s an open AU and anyone can use it. Do whatever you want, the humans be placeholders in my eyes until I figure something out but hey, I hope this can be fun for someone! Just imagine having a wise spider, a scared squid, an angy kitty, an even angrier frog and an arrogant worm! It be chaos and I love it!
