Cotl Heket - Tumblr Posts

I was a bit behind but here's last weeks cotltober prompts. I love how Bishop's Relic and Poison turned out. Don't mind teeth though it's the ugly child.

Sketches because I have nothing to post
I played for several days in a row "night in the woods", And I didn’t draw at all

Day 14: Burned
“Liar, Liar. Your world’s on fire”.
Shamura may be the oldest of their siblings, but they were actually born a few centuries before the event that eradicated most of godhood took place. Barely a teen, actually, when it started.
The slaughter of the sheep, while a horrible, it’s not something that frequents their nightmares. Don’t get me wrong, they feel terribly guilty for the genocide…. When lucid with reality.
What torments them the most, specially when out of touch with reality, is the things they directly did (or didn’t do) to their godly peers.
The whole mess of Narinder’s imprisonment and their other siblings’s getting wounded being the most recent one. Shamura blames themselves for not seeing the signs of the disaster about to happen sooner and not protecting their kin (Narinder included, in a way).
But that isn’t the only thing that haunts their fragile mind…..
When they were younger, back when the old faith wasn’t even a thing, they met 3 gods. 3 gods that taught them different things. 3 gods that they murdered in cold blood when the chance arrived to do so. Of the 3 gods, they actually developed a deep emotional bond with 2 of them. This made their crime the more painful and guilt-griven.
None of the main cast knows about this. Not even their own blood. They swore to keep the fact their hands were bloodied since before the old faith a secret to take to the grave….. but…. Their mind is not what it used to be. They may… let some things slip.
Anyway, this prompt is more symbolic than anything else. Shamura is filled with secrets. Secrets that have been weighting their conscience for most of their lifetime.
And lies too. Lies that will burn their surroundings into chaos once they catch up with them, and are set free.

"Bloodied is The Crown"

Been meaning to draw something Cult of the Lamb related since i got back into it. This is completely and unnecessarily gorey (and slightly rushed) but hey, it got me out of art block. I'll draw something nice with the bishops soon, though. TW tagging, to be safe.
Yeah so i jumped on the "Butcher Vanity" wagon, but i haven't seen a single one with our (likely) cannibalistic famine deity.

I did get off track at some point and went more horror with it, and i will admit that the song did instill several headcanons into me regarding Heket here, but im actually quite pleased with this for the most part.

a couple with matching scars…

The Immortality Necklace, better known in the cult as a gift only for siblings.
"...currently in the cult there are few people who have this type of necklace, and luckily for the lamb, they are not kind enough to reveal something so obvious to our clueless Ando. Well, at least for now."
Fragment of the answer I gave to a question I received on Tumblr.
And I couldn't stand it anymore (owo)
I had to draw it.
¡I hope you like it!
Extra: I realized something, so I made a gif for it (ouo)/
I want to say video, because adding audio changed that idea XD
Interesting, can't wait for the update.

Narinder was spared, he ended up dying days after his endoctrinement, the siblings have been endoctrinated right after. It took a while for them to grow accustomed to their new lives. Although old wounds do not fade, they missed their sibling Narinder. He who betrayed and injured them, He who as cold as his position as death, stabbed their heart and trust with cold hatred. To be able to live the eternity with peaceful minds, they needed to be at peace with their nightmares. And maybe, just maybe, a slim chance to mend things. To be family again.
the first three pages of the comic-

Love these animals. The bitchsops

Decided to learn to draw the other members of the Old Faith Also got a lil vision in my head that Leshy didn't treat hes wounds at first (bc he tries to prove himself capable to his elders), and it was Heket who insisted on him visiting Kallamar And she drew the triangle on his bandages (bc upside down triangles are part of her design mainly!)
do you think leshy loved painting? do you think narinder hung every one on his wall?
do you think heket loved singing? do you think narinder loved hearing her voice?
do you think kallamar loved music? do you think narinder sat with him, listening to song after song written by the most skilled of his followers?
do you think shamura loved riddles? do you think narinder was stumped every time until they told him the answer?
do you think narinder loved whittling? do you think his family loved the small wooden versions he made of their crowns?
do you think they regret taking all that away?
five becomes four becomes three becomes two becomes one becomes Nothing.
i think all the siblings of the old faith did art before their respective tragedies
leshy painted masterpieces. each of his siblings has a painting of themselves in their temples, and his followers sacrificed art pieces to him, before he lost his eye.
heket sang beautifully. she wrote songs for all her siblings, which are still played in their temples, and her followers always sang during sermons, before she lost her throat.
kallamar played any and all instruments. he orchestrated magificent pieces for all his siblings, which are played without knowledge of their background, his followers had to learn instruments for indoctrination before he lost his ears.
shamura wrote impossible riddles. they had one for each of their siblings, and only heket and narinder managed to figure out theirs, the others of which are still thought about today, and their followers sacrificed everything to them, begging for answers before they lost their mind and forgot the answers.
narinder whittled intricate designs. all his siblings had mini wooden versions of their crowns that they carried with them often before, his followers sacrificed and burned hardwoods for him before he was chained.
leshy can no longer paint.
heket can no longer sing.
kallamar can no longer play.
shamura can no longer remember.
narinder can no longer whittle.
they have stolen the others' abilities to create.
have they stolen the others' abilities to love?
after her throat was cut, did heket try to scream?
did she starve?
did she bleed?
after his eyes were taken, did leshy try to see?
did he cry?
did he bleed?
after his ears were taken, did kallamar try to hear?
did he strive?
did he fear?
after their mind was taken, did shamura try to shed a tear?
did they think?
did they fear?
five does not become four if they already were nothing.
