Strange horizon... ready to go...
The trickster Nimbu waits atop their mountain home, blue eyes always scouring the land below... looking for unsuspecting fools to mess with and unleash their electrical prowess upon. Some say that long ago, they were a more agreeable spirit, but those times have passed—and none can say for certain what made them change their ways...
Yes, this lightning spirit finally has not just new art, but a name! It's actually a name I've been floating around for them for a while, but I hadn't found the time to give Nimbu more art to solidify it. They also have a definitive place in Lotu's world now! Will they be a tutor for the young Biscu like Lotu is, or perhaps a rival? We shall see... (This was done as a warmup sketch that got out of hand before working on my first Art Fight piece—which should hopefully be done by this afternoon.)
My first Art Fight piece! It's a friendly fire on fellow Seafoam member @averagesharkenjoyer29, of their character Magmu! He's visiting the sort of near-volcanic environment he likes, but thankfully his clothes are heat-resistant! This was made in response to their own friendly fire on me, of Ica! Their picture is below, It may be simple but I love it all the same!
Something about the chonkier look they gave him makes Ica all the more endearing, doesn't it?
Happy Fourth of July—or, as it might be called in Unova, Founder's Day! Made this last year for the PokeMedia subreddit, since one of my characters there is the Victini of Liberty Garden, Red.
It's a simple picture, but I had fun playing with some of CSPs more shape-based brushes in the designs! I actually wrote up a bit of a backstory for Red as part of another PokeMedia storyline, though it'd be boring to just put down all the parts of the TweetGen thread I made for it—someday, I'll put it into comic form.
Here's the picture I made for this year's Fourth of July/Founding Day! Featuring fireworks in the shape of Reshiram and Zekrom this time! The background picture is one I took of the ocean near my house, the Castelia City picture is (of course) the official art with some skewing for perspective, and that boat is the Royal Unova model from B2W2, lacking textures because they didn't load into Clip Studio Modeller and I wanted to finish it in a reasonable time.
And of course, it has its own Tweetgenned picture to go along with it. If you're wondering what the background is for Red's Twitter avatar, that's the Pokeball I caught him in—a Heal Ball. Didn't put much thought into it when I originally caught him, but now I feel it's fitting for a Mythical that's likely experienced a lot of trauma over the centuries.

Have a few Art Fight attacks in the works, but between social, personal, and miscellaneous commitments not much has happened with them beyond roughs. I did find some time to draw this Inkling squid as a warmup today, though! (I've picked Team Theme Park, btw) And since Inklings come in a variety of colors, here's this Inkling in multiple palettes!
My second Art Fight piece, and it's not a friendly fire this time! This is Indigo, a draconic superhero created by Team Stardust member cornmays. I decided to draw them standing on a rooftop, gazing out over the city in search of some crime to stop... And it seems they've found some! Off goes their patched-up sweater, as they get ready to leap down and enact some justice...
So you did. Very well then. We shall cross blades at dusk! /s

Here's an old take at a digital ink-wash painting that I made after watching a demonstration of the style, featuring a Poochyena that you might've seen before. Pretty pleased with how it turned out overall.
My next Art Fight attack has arrived! It's the adorable ferrets Nico (brown) and Haru (white), belonging to Team Stardust member OF711! Ferrets are quite adorable, aren't they? Part of me wishes I had one as a pet... Then again I already have four cats to deal with :P

An old digital art piece! It was inspired by something I'd been doing with a friend around the time it was drawn (the location name is unique to me, though), and as one of my earlier forays into digital backgrounds it holds up pretty well! The adventurer does stand out a bit too much against the drab colors, in hindsight—were I making this today I would definitely add shading to mute his tones. (My sharing this here was partly inspired by how foggy it was this afternoon...)
Happy birthday to @zesty-lemonss! I've been struggling to get back into art after a busy week, but here's some old art of their OC that I made for his birthday a while back. (Wait, what day is it on again...?) Go and follow them, please! They have a really adorable artstyle.
Per a friend's advice, I spent the day yesterday mostly offline to unwind and de-stress, and I'd say it helped a bit—I managed to make Ghostie's character reference sheet from scratch over the course of this evening! I definitely need to do this more often. The head shape took a few tries to get right, but I think having it smoothly go to the body without a neck fits best with how I've been drawing him more recently.
Here's my third Art Fight piece for this year! This time it's the Atlantean racer Caspian, designed by Team Stardust member @s0upern0va. She's apparently competitive, aiming to be the #1 racer, but is kind and takes her losses in stride. Played it simple with the composition, having her pose alongside her beloved motorcycle on (presumably) the side of the track she just raced on. Can't help but muse on what her stats might be if she was part of a full racing game... And on how fun a fully-underwater racing game might be.
Here's a lil' Joltik explorer to brighten your afternoon! His name's Spindle, and he comes from the same roleplay server that brought forth Ares the Marshadow and Abda the (formerly-) Durant. It's long-since stopped, but I adore all the characters that I wound up creating for them. Here, he's exploring a more familiar setting from the Pokemon Games: Chargestone Cave in Unova! Or possibly Chargestone Cavern in the Terarium, which is more in line with his desire to explore new locales. ...Oh? I've already shared a Spindle before? Yeah, that Spindle grew organically from this Spindle, like how Abda grew from a Durant character with the same name. Though there's another version of the him that serves as an intermediary between the two, which I might post at some point.
Obsidianna gazes across the snowfield, as her lighthouse shines dimly across the quiet city... With only the stars in the sky above to accompany her tonight.
Another Art Fight piece completed! It's another character from Team Stardust's OF711, this time her alter ego Obsidianna. Tried to capture the vibes suggested in her character description—mainly the light sadness, as that was the easiest to implement. I wanted to include a view of the sky from the start, with stars to go with her artist's team name, and while having this sort of low-angle shot was a new one for me, I'm proud of how it turned out. This is probably going to be my last Art Fight piece for this year. I'd hoped to do more—a lot more, I had so many characters in mind to make art for—but between my own time-management struggles and external happenings it just didn't work out. Oh well, maybe next year.
Well, seems like that's my first Art Fight in the books! Didn't do as much art as I wanted to do—time management is still something I have to work on—but I'm more than pleased with the pieces that I did end up making! Can't wait for to take part next year!
Just a quick drawing I made yesterday, of Ghostie and Cole wavign at nobody in particular, to try and get myself back into the habit of drawing. Ended up not doing more, due to being frazzled by something that... frankly, I had no right to be frazzled by. But eh, it happens!
