Head canons for Dove is that she has a big "not like other girls" problem from being raised as a girl by bro. She gets very competitive and tries to make herself unfeminine as possible and finds most "girl things" to be automatically lame and not worth her time. Plus the internalized misogyny and homophobia. She also doesn't know how to take care of her hair because no one ever taught her how to so she just grows it out until it gets long enough and she'll cut it down with scissors.

no i “literally” did not. if you say somebody “literally” said something you better be ready to have a quote to back that up rather than your 100% imaginary extension of what you thought i meant,

i havent said “it’s wrong to headcanon Dave Strider as transmasc”. i HAVE said that Dave Strider makes more sense to be read as a trans girl than a trans guy, for a number of reasons. here’s a couple

1. the text doesn’t support a transitioned-by-13 trans guy reading of Dave without some serious changes to the story. do you think Bro would’ve supported that? where does Dave get his T from if he’s on it?

2. it’s a misunderstanding of his character’s place in the narrative. Dave is constantly rejecting the role of maleness & masculinity within both a literal & sexual reading of Homestuck. his personal journey is literally to “break the sword” — both representative of traditional masculinity but also literally a penetrative too. at first this is accidental, a failure, but as the story progresses is more and more a choice. Lord English is even weak to Dave’s sword because he has an “egg allergy”. the symbolism is all there babey.

you’re also right in that i do think most of the “male” human characters in homestuck track better as trans girls than trans guys because i think Andrew was writing a lot from her own experiences as somebody coercively assigned male at birth; it makes sense retroactively that her male characters might be trying to break free of the shackles of societally imposed masculinity.

i think you should headcanon whatever you want, i’m just gonna roll my eyes when one of your readings of a character is obviously at odds with the text. for what it’s worth, i’m literally a big transmasc Sollux fan, so i don’t know why you assumed i would hate that… maybe it’s that you’re a transmisogynist trying to pick fights with trans girls online by intentionally misunderstanding what we have to say about Homestuck?

also even if i do think it’s a misreading of Dave, where’s all this “you hate any male character being headcanoned as transmasc and you hate any female character being headcanoned as transmasc TOO” coming from? the answer: you’re making it up. i enjoy plenty of readings of characters (no matter what the gender they’re originally presented as) and you can even find some homestuck examples on this very blog. but again: you must lie to yourself in order to justify sending harassment to a trans woman who doesn’t have your fandom headcanons. childish.

What everyone didn't expect, though, was for said knight of time to unexpectedly appear behind the group with a time clone. Then said time clone took Karkat and disappeared with her. Now the players not only have to fight several time clones of Dove, but also search for their missing friend. Who knows what Dove wants with her...
