“You saw what I had to do, why arnt you running away?!?”

“I would have done the same thing if I could… I’m not going to leave you behind.”
“…”
“P-please look at me”
“…”
“…You had every right to leave me back there, you chose save us both. I wont ever leave you alone like this. I promise.”

“…Thank you..”

“You have to get back up! We need your help out- …Here??”
((A few favorite tropes of mine. The moment that random special ability becomes unlocked in the middle of crisis. Injured character suddenly revived either through self, other, or outer source. Or anything of the sort. Either way, all endings showing the “tough” guy that maybe there was a soft spot there all along. Aching at the thought for a moment they would have to continue without their companion ever again.))

Hey! Grabbed you something…
Uuugghh- Thank you so MUUCH! Why did I have to pick the hottest day of the year! How do you put up with this heat?!
I know you wanted to do this yourself but the last thing I need is you passing out from heat exhaustion. Maybe it’s about time for a break..?
But I- oh fine… after I finish putting tar on this seam?
Alright alright, don’t forget we still have the inside to worry about.
Don’t remind me! 😖

(( my account is now 5 years old! 🥳 here’s a small update to celebrate! Though I’ve been in the GT community for many more years, I began my own account as an introduction into photography (buutttt with a sh*t camera 😅). Only recently did I begin re uploading as I had nothing else on me while living in a car for 3 months. While people around me encouraged me to ask for money for commissions I don’t beg even in my lowest moments. Though considering donations to buy the full version of JustSketchMe so I’m not so limited on my creations like this one here. First time trying background and only having cubes and cylinders to work with… too much effort, sorry 🤣. Much more to come but ALL PROJECTS OTHER THEN REQUESTS ARE ON HOLD. Please keep sending in all your ideas and I’ll try my best to work on it overtime. In the meantime my husband and I have a home to rebuild ❤️🩹 -A))
If requests are open, can you please a female giant with a male tiny asleep in her hand, curled up and using it as a mattress?
((Absolutely yess!! Please forgive how long this took as we’re still under alot of construction at the moment. Unfortunately not alot of time or creativity for a caption right now so up to interpretation ❤️🩹 Thank you so much! -A))

No more melted tomblerones or mising skulls, yyeann!
This is my basic process for pretty much everything I draw. The key is understanding the shape of the garment you’re trying to draw and the shape of the body part you’re putting it on.
Drawing the body first forces you to make the shoe, hat, or clothes fit that body. With practice you’ll be able to skip some steps. This method works the same no matter the perspective or pose. It just relies on your knowledge of what a hat looks like from above, or what the bottom of a shoe looks like. When in doubt, just google refs. Don’t necessarily need the exact angle you’re trying to draw. Look at different pics to give you an idea of how it works in 3d.
Shoes are always a bit tricky because feet are a stupid ass shape.
It might help if you think of hats as a cylinder fitted to the person’s head to help you get the perspective right before you push in detail. note: heads aren’t circles. they’re kind of egg shaped if you look at them from the top.
being a self-taught artist with no formal training is having done art seriously since you were a young teenager and only finding out that you’re supposed to do warm up sketches every time you’re about to work on serious art when you’re fuckin twenty-five
Does anyone have good pose references for cane-users?
Trying to draw a character that uses a cane; character doesn't require mobility aids constantly, so they would technically be capable of holding a cane in not-strictly-functional ways, but for the sake of a more thorough understanding of the anatomy and physics at play, does anyone have pose images that feel accurate?
Basically, the web is full of cane pictures, but I do not currently have the knowledge to go through the pictures and say "this one is accurate to a mobility aid, this one is a fashion-cane." I've been getting stronger with my contrapposto pose sketches lately, which I'm glad for, but I imagine a relaxed stance involving a cane could look somewhat different in ways I can't yet clock on my own.
So in summary, does anyone have pictures from online that they can OK? Pictures of yourselves that you'd be okay with others referencing? Websites I can look to, specific models to research?
Thanks! Worst case, I can always get some practice with seated positions.
(Also, if anyone has preferences in shapes of cane handles they'd like to share, feel free to talk about those as well. My sister has a few that she let me borrow while figuring out the movement pattern, so I think I know which handle I'd prefer, but I'm sure there's a vast difference between my initial preferences and the preferences of people who actually own and use the equipment on a frequent basis.)
Ok so I was watching a LinkTheSun video and I saw this

How can you explain I've never saw a draw your squad with them.
BECAUSE WE SHOULD. IS IT BECAUSE THE VIDEO IS FRENCH ?? BECAUSE IT'S NOT AN EXCUSE LOOK AT HOW MAGESTIC THEY ARE.
PLEASE. DRAW YOUR SQUAD LIKE THIS 👀

a very important compilation of jungkook’s tattoos (insp) (cr)
Because sameface syndrome is so common especially depicting Asians, I put together a quick and small reference for how to draw different types of faces.
Remember that "Asian" includes Southeast Asia, India, and west Asia as well! We're all not held to the beauty standards marketed by westernised Asian media exports! Even "mainstream" north eastern Asians do not always have the long face and white skin that you see in movies.

The opening image is a more photographic depiction of some different face shapes, but for a simpler image, eyebrow fashion is actually a good place to find face shapes. (Apparently styling the eyebrows to compliment the face shape is a thing. Who knew)

Averages of faces over a few countries. I do NOT recommend using these averages to reference characters, because every individual is unique. If you point at the "Filipino" square to say, "This is the faceclaim for my Filipino character!", you're once again in the Asian sameface hole. However, it's just a reminder that there are many, many different ethnicities that fall under the "Asian" category.

This eye shapes chart is quite simplified, and the appearance will change slightly depending if the eye is double or single lid. However, these are classic archetypes that are commonly identified in Chinese culture.

Translation, left -> right
Row 1:
Zuifeng eye (or fox eye) rarely seen
Danfeng eye (or phoenix eye) rarely seen
Peach flower
Row 2:
Apricot eye
Round eye
Hanging eye
Row 3:
Upper tilt eye
Willow leaf eye
Thin eye
I feel it's really important to note that the first two eye types, Fox and Phoenix, are the ones most commonly portrayed on Asian characters. However, they are actually the LEAST commonly seen in real life. Most people have some combination of the two lower rows.
Last but not least, people are not all lily white like in commerical ads. Makeup foundation swatches are a good place to reference skin tones in general, but I grabbed this image from Shiseido, a popular beauty store chain in Asia. Look at those variety of tones.
(And for the love of god please do not make your asian characters literally yellow. I will manifest on your doorstep with a pickaxe)

And that's all I have for now. Obviously not a comprehensive guide, because my cultural knowledge is limited to my own demographic, (and because nothing can comprehensively cover the wonderful variety of humans), but hopefully it can help a bit.
And very importantly, I don't advocate for any one feature over another, we are beautiful because of our differences.

There’s a pdf book of all my standing references on my patreon and gumroad store! (Do not trace references or bases if you’re using them for artfight IT IS NOT ALLOWED)
Hi, I know you said that your bases/poserefs are organized in a Pinterest board, but I can’t seem to see it as one of the boards on your Pinterest?
I might just be a bit dumb and missed it
It’s an issue with Pinterest 😭😭 it frequently disappears
