EUPHORIA FAN COMIC PART 2: COMING SOON

Hello! ArtRMe here! Big thanks on your support for the first part of the Euphoria fan comic! It was so much fun to do. I am so glad that the reaction was so positive. Good news is that the story is going to be continued (so that we have something to look forward to while waiting for season 3) I am currently in the process of doing part 2. I have all of the sketches of the pannels done, now I am doing line art and colour.

If you have any ideas or specific details of stuff you want to see in the story, please let me know.

The story is hopefully going to do what season 2 didn’t get to. Focus on giving Maddy a happy story she deserves, giving Kat an appropriate story line and more attention, Giving us more Fexi stuff Giving Lexi more room to grow, Rue working through recovery and mending the relationships with those around her etc. Also I am hoping to give characters such as Bobbi, Ethan, Faye, Gia more screen time and development too. Comment if you have some characters (even from season 1) that you want to see more of.

Expect the comic to be released soon 3-4 weeks. Why so long? Good news, its because part 2 has 10 pages, while part one only had 6, so you will get more goodies and see more of your favorite characters

In the mean time- here- have some sneakpeaks that fuel the possibilities, in what direction the story might go…

Pretty sure I have a theory for who dies in the car crash in the next episode of euphoria...

I mean unless Nate is borrowing someone else's car, the one from the preview is clearly older than the pickup he drives, so yeah, I'm gonna say Cassy and Lexi's dad...

Cassie is showing the damage not having a stable father figure and understanding between love and lust can do to a person. Cassie is shown to be very sexual but not in the way Maddy is, maddy understands how to use her sex as power she also knows what it means to men. Show by the fact she lied to Nate telling him she was a virgin making him feel as if he was in control. Cassie on the other hand is know for being sexual and sleeping guys claiming to love her. She is so trusting of these men she gets herself pregnet in the first season of the show. This to me show what not having that proper father in your life can do to you. Cassie never had a loving father to explain what real love from a guy was like. cassie mother was still bitter from her father leaving so she never showed her daughter the right way to love. When can even see this in lexi. Lexi isnt as confident about her sex life or body, cassie uses sex as a way to cope and lexi uses anything but sex. After see her father drunk she is afraid of men and what they can do. Cassie always tried to see the best in their dad while lexi saw the reality.

And probably the most famous and most obvious example of Cassie effort to please the male gaze come to her 4 am beauty routine. we see Cassie try to emulate both Jules and Maddy to win Nate never really showing her true self. She gives him everything he could want, and he still longs over Jules and Maddy, this proves my point that even if you clean yourself up and dress for a man you cannot hide your brokenness and lack of depth.

Nate Jacobs. God, where to begin? He was something else. Handsome, Tall, athletic, smart, manipulative, abusive, out of his mind psychotic. He was an Angel in the eyes of those who don’t know him or only had a 5 minute conversation with him. He would have strict rules when it came to you. He always said, “It’s not you I don’t trust, it’s those around you. You don’t know what they are capable of, Doll.” So he would do many things for you to keep you “safe”. He picks out your clothes, makes sure you are always in eye view of him, or whenever you go out, you must tell him how it is going every so often. But what you don’t know is that he has a tracker app on your phone so he knows where you are. It’s okay though, it is out of love. He loves you so much, he can’t let you go.

‘I can fix him!!’

Him in question;

“Fuck you want?” A voice rang out as you opened the false drink door. “Your brother uh, told me you’d sold stuff.” You say to the boy with tattoos on either side of his cheek. You were pointing to the door that had now closed behind you. “Alright, what you here for?” He asks. “What’s new?”

“You’re in luck.”

A big thing Nate loved about your guy’s relationship is that fact he would always be bigger than you. He would always be your protector in the relationship. He’d come to your side when you needed him. He also enjoyed that fact he could just lift you and throw you as if your were a rag doll no matter your weight. Watch your eyes roll back as he coaches you through every inch. He loved it even more that his shirts were always to big for you as well.

Euphoria and the internet's stigma of addiction

SEASON 2 SPOILERS!!

"Rue was hella wrong for saying that shit to Ali"

I've seen lots of people on social media platforms like TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, etc. give a lot of backlash and criticism on Rue after the third episode in Euphoria where after her NA session, she bumps into Ali who greets her and questions her (due to the fact that she's literally carrying a suitcase with $10k worth of drugs). Rue then weaponizes the conversation she had with Ali over Christmas, ultimately making Ali turn away from her in utter sadness and disappointment. People also felt great sympathy towards Gia because of how easy it was for Rue to gaslight her so she can get away with drugs.

But I think what people are missing is that that's exactly how addiction works.

But why is there a harmful stigma towards addicts like Rue?

because people don't view addiction as a disease.

Let's review what the definition of Addiction is:

"Being addicted to something means that not having it causes withdrawal symptoms, or a "come down". Because this can be unpleasant, it's easier to carry on having or doing what you crave, and so the cycle continues." View Source.

I don't want to dismiss the fact that Gia and Ali did not deserve the treatment they got from Rue nor does Rue's addiction excuse her for her actions. The point is that this is an accurate portrayal of how damaging addiction is. People who suffer from addiction will do anything and everything to get and do drugs, and will push away anyone and everyone who gets in their way. That's why in cities like Sydney, free fresh clean needles are handed out in areas where drug use is high. Studies show that giving out free, fresh, clean needles is the best-proven harm reduction method that works. If you've watched the new Euphoria season, it's kinda ignorant to say that Rue's addiction is getting 'dragged on' and that she needs to get serious help and while she DOES indeed need to get help, she very clearly said:

"In fairness, I did say I had no intentions of staying clean"

Do you think it's easy for someone to get sober with no intentions of staying clean?

not a rhetorical question btw i'd love to discuss this

anyway that's my take on the new season on Euphoria
