Hey. To all those harming themselves. Don’t do that or at least do it differently. Instead of cutting and starving yourself try to train yourself. I mean, training can also hurt really bad if you’re overdoing it and if you feel ugly and such. Training will help you lose weight. Even better, after starving you’re looking skinny and that’s not nice, after training you’re slender but not skinny. It’s just the better option. I mean it also hurts and also helps losing weight. Why not at least trying it out?

Aries: I feel bad for Aries because they’re so often mistaken as the sign that has no feelings, except for when they get mad. they have such a bad rep for not talking about things and having no feelings toward anything around them. it’s not true, however, because they have endless amounts of things to say and they do feel. they just don’t have people who ask them the right questions to get them talking. they’re closed off unless you open them up.
Taurus: I feel bad for taurus’ because they so often get mistaken as if they’re stubborn and always have to get their way. it’s not fair that they have to justify what they want and why they want it all the time. what people don’t realize is that a taurus is almost always open to seeing the other side of things, but they have to hear it from someone who is patient and willing to teach them. they’re not always stuck in their ways.

When I got into the Batman fandom about three years back, the first thing I did was look up info on all the robins, cuz I heard of “Batman and Robin” before (most of my family have no idea who Robin is and my brother sorted Batman to Marvel); and I tell you, I was literally ashamed of myself for not knowing that there was more than one. I read up on Wikipedia to start off, then read through a lot of the comics.
I’ve never heard anyone call someone else a fake fan in real life - only heard of this happening through others on the internet -, but fandoms in general aren’t that much of a thing around my area. But honestly, if you’re not a complete jackass when someone tells you they just recently got into a fandom you’re already all informed in and they really like it, then you show them more content, where and how to get it, show them what you know, AND YOU DON’T bully them out of a possible future passion!!
Hey maybe people should start doing this here on Tumblr instead of calling people out for “not knowing enough about the characters” or “not reading the comics” or “blatant mischaracterization”
Plenty of people don’t have access to comic book stores and money to even buy comics or the internet to read the comics. Instead of discouraging people how about offer some knowledge that you have?

there really are no consequences for being wrong about your gender, orientation, etc. for a while, btw. if you try something and it just doesn't fit, it's better to have tried and found out than to be left wondering.
i think the key difference between george lucas’s star wars and disney’s star wars is that lucas is a man with an ideology. someone with a point of view, and all that entails. which comes with ideas of revolution, anti-imperialism, challenging the status quo, cultural appropriation and racist stereotypes. complex and contradictory ideas because that’s how artists are: complex and complicated people. disney is not. disney is a corporation. a corporation can’t have ideology, because ideology defeats the purpose of profit. and when the only thing you do is to turn on the movie manufacturing machine before you sit down and plan what ideas are you trying to convey to the audience, then your results are going to be washed out corporate garbage. and because when you’re a giant corporation who only cares about selling to the widest audience possible, you can’t take sides. you can’t decide on an idea. because you want to sell your product to people who are on the entire political spectrum. which results in movies without ideology, without purpose, without soul.
