Realistically, it would be sooo in character for Akihiro to be the most skilled at picking out minute differences in their respective scents: irl women tend to lean more acidic and less musky, but there’s also things like Logan’s smoking habit, deodorant preferences, residual scents from Jonathan on Gabby in particular… definitely an art he’d take pride in!
I did a post that I don’t feel like finding about each snikt fam member and how their scents seem to associate. In brief summary:
Uncanny X-Men- Logan can’t quite clock Laura’s scent because it’s too similar to his
All New Wolverine- Laura can’t clock Gabby’s scent because it’s the same as hers (Gabby acknowledges this and actually explains it to Laura, so we can assume she can’t smell Laura well or at all)
Uncanny X-Men- Laura can clock Logan’s scent and tracks him this way
Wolverine Origins- Akihiro can clock Logan’s scent and tracks him this way
Collision- Akihiro is able to follow Laura (although Laura tells him she let him do it) ((unspecified if he scent tracked or just was able to stay close))
New Mutants- Akihiro *confidently* tracks Gabby via scent
X-Force- Akihiro tracks Laura in the snow via scent
So there’s some canon issues of scents with Logan and Laura and Gabby due to the cloning process. Akihiro seems to have a distinguishable scent (other than when he suppresses his scent). I had mentioned wondering if Akihiro would be able to track them together or if he was only able to distinguish who he was tracking if he knew which one it was.
Here, they are all four in a room and Akihiro is able to identify Logan by scent even with Laura and Gabby (who have identical scents - and Laura’s is either identical or very close to Logan’s).
So.
Akihiro: Supreme Hunter.
Peitro: Your alternate universe half brother is going by ‘Poison’ again :/
Gabby: When he gets himself into ambiguous situationships with alien goo, he’s YOUR alternate universe half brother :)

Continuing my tradition of annual X-23′s but this time with a bonus Honey Badger
I have. I have an inexplicable need to draw the Dad!AU fam at the Hellfire Gala 👁👁
Logan’s just in a simple tux- it’s what makes him happiest. Even now, he doesn’t like to stick out much, and the classic black-tie look suits him anyway.
Kurt’s definitely in something designer though- sleek and complimenting, and colored so it brings out his stunning gold eyes. It’s a bit more theatrical than the rest of their group. He’s wearing a cape, because of course he is. His partner’s toddler finds the cape amusing, so it’s a winning look in his book.
The girls dresses both match to a certain degree- in color at least. They were made at the same time Jubilee’s outfit was, so lots of the same shimmery yellow and blue fabrics.
Laura’s dress boasts a fluffy skirt that hits her knees, with layers of yellow and blue tulle and accents in navy. She’s got a masquerade mask on a stick that somewhat er resembles the mask of her father’s costume, which she finds she’d much rather use as a sword while playing with the other few kids her age at the party or pillaging the shrimp platter.
Gabby, being only 3, is dressed far more simply, and by far more comfortably. A nicer looking but still soft shirt, yellow and blue to match her sister’s, with bright pink accents that match with Jubilee. There’s lace at the end of the long sleeves, and a blue tutu that fits over a pair of comfy shorts they brought her from home. Highest fashion for a toddler, of course. She loses a shoe somewhere over the course of the evening and then spends the last leg of the party asleep and being shuffled between her father, her stepfather, and her brother’s arms.
Akihiro-…he’s probably wearing the most relaxed looking outfit at the gala. Black leather pants (lord knows where he got those), a dressy, floral printed silk shirt, that he has, fittingly, left mostly unbuttoned, and his ever present pair of aviators, though he seems to have swapped them for a pair with gold accents. It takes Logan all of his willpower not to say anything when he shows up like that ten minutes before they all head out, but he does give his eldest credit for the fact that he’d done his hair very nicely and, despite all else, looked comparatively formal to his usual look.
Now as to how the Dad!AU fam behaves at the Hellfire Gala? That’s a tale for another post 😌

I just remembered that Honey Badger actually is a character in the X-Men comics, she’s X-23s sister, I completely forgot, just to make it clear, if I call Logan a honey badger, it’s just a silly nickname 😭 I just wanted to prevent any confusion
