So... I've watched the trailer for Blue Eye Samurai, and I do plan on watching the show after seeing it, and it got me thinking on what a potential movie for Daken could be.
One has to admit, Daken has a lot of untapped potential. He has a lot of interesting stories to tell. Hell, when the trailers for Logan first dropped years ago, I was kinda hoping what would turn out to be X-24 could have been Daken.
Whether it be Daken's quest for revenge against his father Wolverine, or him forming a bond with X-23, or even some other options, Daken has stories you can tell.
There's a chance I'll add more to this in later, just gotta get some more thoughts together.

Civilian X-Men series: Wolverine, Laura and Akihiro by Bestylocke
You know what would be cool? An animated adaptation of the Circle of Four story, the one with these four in Vegas fighting Blackheart.
I have read this story before, and let me just say, that from what I remember, it could use some streamlining. It got a bit overcomplicated. Also, you kinda gotta admit, this fusion of powers would really cool to see:
Kinda wish Laura was a bit in on this fusion of powers, but whatever, sometimes your favorite gets the short end of the stick.
I think all these four would be great to have adapted into the story, but if you felt like having other characters with similar abilities in the limelight, I suggest:
Robbie Reyes swapped with Alejandra Blaze
Daken/Akihiro swapped with Laura Kinney/X-23
Red Harpy swapped with Red Hulk
And Mania swapped with Agent Venom
I'd prefer if you kept the four from the first image, since all deserve the recognition, especially Alejandra
You know what two characters are similar enough that if they met I think they would hate each other? Daken from Marvel and Sett from League of Legends.
Both are "half-breed/half-blood bastards," or something to that effect. Daken is half Canadian and half Japanese. Sett is half Vastaya and half human. Both have run their own criminal underworld. Both have a hatred of their fathers.
I'm more than willing to say most of this is likely coincidence, but if there was some inspiration for Sett from Daken, that would be pretty cool in my opinion.
Don't got much for this one, just some basic observations, but if any of you have something to add, go right ahead!
So... once again. I am thinking of crossovers, and it just sort of crossed my mind of Jinx, X-23/Laura Kinney, and Ace or Harley Quinn. Or maybe all four of them together.
It's one of those things where I think all would somewhat get along. Just going with all four, Harley would probably do her best to help all the girls out. Maybe help them go over their problems, in a way.
Laura I could imagine trying to take on a bit of a sisterly role to Ace, the two of them having been raised as living weapons. Maybe to Jinx as well, just for different reasons.
I imagine Ace would just kind of role with things, her only desire to be normal. At least that is all I could imagine. She highly likely doesn't trust Harley all that much, for good reason.
Jinx would probably get along with Harley for the most part and maybe feel some amount of sympathy for Laura and Ace, I'm unsure. Even if she has not had those same experiences as the two girls and is a bit unhinged in a way, she knows even what they went through is messed up.
Wish I could think of more to do with these four, but my mind is in a bit of a low or mild-creativity mode, I guess. I'm still creating, it's just nothing is coming to me easily.
I had also thought of maybe including Briar and Daken into this discussion, but it just felt like too many characters to talk about.
So... a while ago I made a small post about Blue Eye Samurai, as well as Daken from Marvel. Mostly as a way to talk about how it would be interesting for the son of Wolverine to be adapted to other mediums and get some recognition.
I know that last time I spoke of this, I talked about the idea of Daken's quest for revenge against his father and the idea of him bonding with Laura/X-23. I think with BES being a story about revenge, I think going with Daken bonding with his sister would be the better option. Oh! The adaptation that features them could be an adaptation of Wolverines, the comic where Logan is dead and people like him and/or connected to him are kidnapped and used by... I honestly forget who and for what purpose, it's been a while since I read Wolverines. I do remember it also featured Sabretooth and Mystique
Or maybe one could just go with his quest for revenge, or maybe have it be the story of a young Akihiro growing up, that anger and resentment at his father building and building, eventually him being trained by Romulus as something of a weapon against Logan.
If anybody else has any ideas, it's cool to share them. I wouldn't mind hearing of those ideas.
