The Goetic Spirits

The 72 Spirits of the Goetia, with their titles, seals, and legions, taken from the Lesser Key of Solomon, who bound and rules these Spirits.

These Spirits can be seen as 'stepped down' versions of the 7 Planetary Gods (see "777" for how the correspondences branch out from here).

The Gods they descend from are given on either side of their title. The symbols are the planet associated with a given number e.g. Mars (♂︎) for 5, Venus (♀︎) for 7 etc.

Numbers larger than 9 are reduced (compressed) by adding their digits together. So for Earl Ipos, the 22nd Spirit: 22 -> 2 + 2 = 4 = ♃ = Jupiter.

The symbol on the left of the title is the God derived from the Spirit's number.

The symbol on the right is derived from converting each letter in the name to a number: Ipos -> 8 + 15 + 14 + 18 = 55 -> 5 + 5 = 10 -> 1 + 0 = 1 = ☿ = Mercury.

The real gender of some Spirits is also here revealed e.g. Duchess Astaroth, Queen Paimon, the Marquise Phoenix, Countess Maltas etc.

Stolas, a Great Prince of Hell.

Stolas is believed to be a teacher of astronomy, but is additionally very knowledgeable about herbs and poisonous plants, as well as precious stones.

He is often depicted as an owl with long legs and a crown on top of his head, but is said to take the appearance of a raven, or even a man.

Stolas is mainly known from Ars Goetia: The Lesser Key of Solomon as the 36th demon, but originates from an earlier text, Pseudomonarchia Daemonum.

Miss Midnight!

AHEMMMM totally didn't forget tumblr exists.. yep. working on trying out lineless art, i love it so far! very fun stuff!

this is Miss Midnight! She's a peacock-themed Goetia who loves the night sky. and red wine.

Miss midnight is Stella's good friend and like an aunt to Octavia, but doesn't visit all that much. She's an observer and likes to watch everyone fight at events.

(some say she even starts the fights between the others. she refuses to comment on this).

she's a design i recieved for free from Dazelvel -- i gave her a small redesign and the art above is my own, however

Had a lot of fun drawing these guys and was GOING to wait until the speedpaint finished uploading, but it's been over an hour and it's still ""processing"" a four minute video. yippee.

if the stars align and it manages to upload, i'll edit the post :')

AHEM. now to ramble about them, since I don't think any of them have gotten a proper introduction yet! I'll be keeping SOME details hidden, so that they can be revealed properly later.

First up is Rat [it/any]! Rat is doctor's only test subject [other than himself] and has seen horrors beyond comprehension. This absolute creature of an imp is running on pure instinct at this point. LITERALLY. doctor replaced its brain with three rats [the rats are taken care of via a hatch on the back of Rat's skull].

Next is Doctor [he/him]. Doctor is a mad scientist doctor type who became obsessed with perfecting his body and becoming immortal due to events in his past. He doesn't care for morals, only the pursuit of his goal. His lower arms were stolen from an imp he killed, and they do not function properly -- they either flail aimlessly or hang limp at his sides.

AAAAAND Burger [she/they]. She's the most normal of this little gang of misfits and insists that they're only helping Doctor for the cash. She doesn't hang around the lab much, finding it gross and gory. Despite this, they have no qualms about getting 'donors' for Doctor's experiments on Rat and himself.

I reshaded all scenes recently (so here they are again but NIGHT!!). Gonna make use of time-sensitive stuff that uses the server time. And here's a sneak peek at more stuff I'm working on. The UI is a mess but I recently ported all scenes to utilize 1080p+ screens.
