I can wax poetic about Grian forever. Back in season 6 of Hermitcraft, I remember watching his first survival elytra experience. He said that he wasn't very good at it and probably wasn't going to use it very often. Now he's one of the best fliers in the mcyt sphere. Shame there was no Terra Swoop Force in TGTTOSAWAF this month.
He placed way down in the 30s individually in his early MCCs, constantly calling himself the weakest link of his teams, very uncomfortable and just following. Today he never left the top 10, placed 6th individually, and finally won his first MCC. Like Pete said, it's a perfect storybook win. He takes charge when it comes to team games, and literally transforms into a different person in Build Mart. He learns, figures out what he can do better, and works on it.
He always rings a gong to calm the team down, and his kindness is repaid. Many don't know that he had a mild panic attack in MCC16, and his teammates helped him through it. And! And he's so, so humble. The first thing he did when he won today after his insane 1v3 was credit his teammates. He's always insisting people play by gentleman's rules. Every MCC he's been raising money to build a freaking school in Ghana.
His skybattle clutch, his Build Mart leadership, sportsmanship, his teamwork and kindness and humility... yeah, that's my winner.
