i've been behind on hermitcraft by a little bit, and i just put together a youtube playlist to math out exactly how much i need to watch to be caught up on all my POVs...
5.75 total hours of content. its only 10 videos, but thats a LOT
(to be fair, a good 2.5 of those are just Doc's episodes 2 and 3, so that shaves off a bit if i come back to his)
but still, aaaaaaagh this is gonna be my life for the next few days, playing catch-up xD
(i've stayed caught up on grian's POV cause its my main, this is just for all my POVs so im still decently updated on most events of the server)
i have about 6 hours to go catching up! i'm realizing that posting updates about it is helping me actually stay on task (i'm finally getting properly re-invested into the hermitcraft goings-on as well)
the current stats for my catching up playlist are:
Xisuma: 6 videos (2.2hrs)
Mumbo: 2 videos (57min)
Joel: 2 videos (43min)
Etho: 1.5 videos (im halfway through one as i write this) (1.4hrs)
Tango: 1 video (27min)

all 3 of joel's videos for this one round to 22 minutes?? weird coincidence
one of tango's videos is almost an hour long and its skewing all of my stats mr tek when i get you-
the way i get the round numbers for minutes without having to fuck around with counting seconds is rounding up or down depending on if its more or less than 45 seconds (if its 45 seconds or more it counts as another full minute, if not it gets rounded down)
also im considering once i catch up, spending the time i HAVE been using to catch up to make other stat blocks (i.e. average upload length for each hermit, time between uploads, etc whatever) (this would be per season btw) (<- would anyone actually care ab this? /hj)

it's 1 in the morning, i have watched about 8 hours worth of hermitcraft content in the past 5 days, and i'm almost caught up! so it's everyone's favourite time: hermitstats!!! (i'm so tired)
the oldest video on the playlist is Smallishbeans ep.28 from August 29th, putting me at just under two weeks behind! the whole playlist is 7 videos long, and 3.75hrs(!!!)

i think the last time i was entirely caught up was literally in like march which is fun so i'm looking forward to actually knowing what people are talking about on this hellsite any of the ever
also i need a more standardized format for these posts. they're so all over the place good gods man

no more hermitstats from me, hopefully, in the sense of my tallying up my catching up! soon we will be moving to bigger and better things! (graphs. its graphs.)

i think i'm going to start by stat blocking/graphing out average episode length in S9 for a few of my main POVs. probably going to end up working through S9 then working backwards, as i wont be doing stats for S10 until it's done! (by the time i finish one graph more things will have been posted that skew the data. i know how this goes. grian 1hr video i am LOOKING AT YOU-)
