Looks like I'm listening to Eskew next.
In the name of the father (wtn), the son (tma) and the holy spirit (I am in eskew)
today in tumblr history tma fans discovered what happens when you try to claim your beleaguered archivist is the most hard-done-by man in podcasting: a legion of weird, gaunt eskew fans come crawling spiderlike out of the vents and peer at you with their haunted eyes as they whisper "david lived in his own walls once because a package was too intimidating. i'll eat you. i swear i'll fucking eat you"
Guys, I can't fcking believe ours pathetic soaking wet man David Ward is going to loose the most wet-cat of a dude in podcasts poll to Cecil Palmer, a man, who is not only has respectable job and his own home, a handsome husband, son, a cute dog and a floating cat, but also lives in a DESERT. I get that WTNV is far more recognizable and popular podcast, but it still feels unfair.
is David gonna lose again??? I bet he is. truly pathetic
Bonus Poll — Sopping Wet Cat
guys who are in fucking eskew
I am in eskew
Eskew is a city of steep and winding streets, where the rain seemingly never stops and the buildings change at will. David, the narrator, is from our world, but has found himself trapped in this living, murderous city, unable to find his way home. With escape impossible, David documents his bizarre, often mind-bending experiences in a series of endless recording, hoping that someone – anyone – will hear them I have so much love for this podcast but my god do i not understand what is going on, i think about it like house of leaves, i do not understand and could not tell you what was going on in the late end but that is the best part. The female narrator has the best parts when she speaks to the mother of the main character it is the best.
i find myself starting to daydream over and over about this nonsense, this nearsense, this language that says nothing but feels so rich in sensation.
am i supposed to be reading a coded message within?
or is this an actual conversation between two soulmates so perfectly in tune with one another that there’s no need for their words to make sense to anyone outside of themselves?
all that night i lie awake in my empty double bed, trying not to hear the noise beyond the wall, and i image myself possessing a love as intense, as individual, as the passion of mr how and mrs why
Game: choose a podcast character (or three), and then a second, different podcast to send them into for a while.
It could be to bully them, to give them some relief, or even just to see them interact with the characters that live there.
I wonder who are those 0,8% who would get in the car with David fucking Ward. Man should NOT be anywhere near maps or giving directions or whatever, unless you are ok with getting yeeted out of reality
Humour me for a second-
Imagine that you and a podcast protagonist of your choice are on a road trip- but you're lost, going in circles, stranded in the middle of nowhere, with no supplies and no signal.
However, there is an old paper map in the car, which your blorbo can interpret for you whilst you keep your eyes on the road.
So, with all that being said...
Survival guide from David Ward
