Iruma Suzuki - Tumblr Posts

I was ready to leave this au divergence in ao3, but... I kinda wanna bring out some ideas and just overall inspiration I stil have for it, and since my writing juices have been completely depleted... *vague gestures to drawing tablet*

I'm too lazy to fact check so I'll consider this a headcanon; the street kids learned to properly read together
Idea for a Iruma fanfic
Iruma’s parents sell him to demons when he’s like 3. Not Sullivan. Some random demons who decide to see if it’s possible to turn a human into demon. Because “we are very much alike physically” so it would be interesting if it was possible, right? And like Iruma is still very young, they think it’ll be more easy.
So one year later, the demon patrol learn about it and come to take back the human (they know he’s still alive). But the human isn’t human anymore, he’s more half demon, and maybe more than half.
Narnia is like “well can’t bring him back in the human world now, he’s closer of us now!”
Henry is like “they told us that his parents have sold him to them”
So they can’t even contact them anyway.
Henry proposes to take care of the kid. He’s a parent already.
But Narnia is like “no, i have a idea” and go away with the kid. He arrives to Babyls, and enters in the teachers lounge.
“Hello Kalego - Brother? - I have something for you”
And he puts the kid in Kalego’s arms while all the other teachers are like OoO (Dali laughs in the background)
“what the meaning of it brother, did you have a scandalous affair? - Haha of course not. But i find this little one and thought that..you could take care of him. - WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FIND HIM? - People have experimented of him - Are you seriously… - They turn this little human into a ¾ demon. So we can’t send him back in the human world. I needed someone serious to take care of him. You have experience with kids, right? - WITH TEENAGERS! MY STUDENTS ARE TEENS!! - he’s just a little younger than you students! - IT’S A TODDLER!!” Narnia nodds and is like “so welcome to fatherhood brother! His name is Iruma! Bye!” and he goes away.
Dali is on the floor, laughing hysterically.
Suzy is like “he’s so cute”
Grandpa Morax is like “i remember when my granddaughter was this age” and starts to give advices to Kalego to help him to calm Little Iruma who cries.

Finally was able to get these done! Sorry for the long delay but here’s the art I promised! And even better new the next new chapters are coming out soon so be ready!
There we have the Cover Art (For Now), A picture of the 1st chapter showing Iruma’s Kidnapping! And the sketch and coloring of chapter 2 of the Adoption Contract!
Hope you like it!
Finally found the long, lost motivation to finish up this art work! Sorry it took so long.
Also as a heads up; I’m rewriting the first chapters of “Iruma’s Dad: Derkila”. After re-reading it, I didn’t like how it sounded— I wanted more details and better dialogue, to show growth in how the characters interact with each other and all that jazz— what I write sounded too much like a draft and was too fast for my liking and didn’t hit any of my goals.
So until I smooth out the chapters, I will be posting some sneak peeks and stuff about my Au and many other projects I’m working on—
Anyway— Here’s the New Colored in one:

And here’s the original:

Aaaaaaa Azz-azz love sweet heart I get it you what that for him but that isn't him at all!

And of course iruma being the best boy he is says that he'll teach him everything that he can teach him

Azz-azz forgot that the man he's following is a greedy one. So seeing someone else's desire and how they are working to achieve it, of course he'll help. This is what I love about iruma I had already figured out that Iruma wouldn't be the king of the many ears race. He's still not really ready to rule a clan he is still a student learning more about the demon would and himself what he can do to keep holding on to his desire.
Now that we know that Iruma past the test in less than a day, know we get to see how the tro make/build up a king. Which for me personally is much more interesting than Iruma becoming king. Can't wait to see what they teach are new boy Nova.

So welcome to demon school iruma-kun manga is AMAZING 👏😍 (I can't whatch the anime cuz it makes my eyes BURN) IRUMA IS BABY

What if they were cats 🐈😻

He wasn't always 100% at dodging he got better at it over time nowadays its rare for him to be hit at all

Always such an angel 😇
One thing I really can’t wait for in the story is for Iruma to put his own spin on archery. Because like Bachiko has repeated, for the most part he has mostly been copying her. Now granted, he’s been mimicking her beautifully and fabulously and it made me happy to see him do a similar move in the Evidol games BUT he’s still replicating all her moves. Which makes sense, he’s still learning, sharping his skills, and he heavily admires his teacher. When you are learning from someone you are of course going to try an match them. There’s no shame in that. But as we have seen throughout the story so far, the students learn to use their abilities to match their personality and become stronger. The main two ways the misfit class have learned new ways to use their abilities is through education (harvest festival, Opera’s lessons, overachiever Asmodeus) and situational circumstances (Purson pushing his invisibility, Iruma's four arrow shot, Iruma's cat mana eating creature).
I think we will see both ways portrayed in Iruma learning new skills but I am personally hoping for a slight leaning towards education while still having him think on the fly new ways to push his archery and magic. And that got me thinking what moves Iruma may learn going forward that feels both doable and fitting for his character. Since the second semester is apparently focused on getting better at magic and a special move, it feels fitting to guess what we may see from Iruma in the future. All of these are archery related ideas for Iruma but I do think he could also have a magical special outside of archery too (after all he did transform Ali-san into a giant mana eating creature and I doubt many can do something similar), I just haven’t thought of a good one for him yet since the possibilities would be too broad. For now though, these are the ideas I have for him.
Scatter shot/friend protection shots: I think a likely special move could be a scatter shot ability where he shoots a bunch of arrows into the air and they all hit their targets. This already matches the cannon arrow shot he did at the Evidol Games with four arrows at once since the targets were at different locations, granted close to each other. This would be different from what we have seen from the Bachiko family ability thus far where they can shoot at one target and never miss, even with a 10,000 arrows (at least that’s the case for the former chief). Granted, they have honed their skills as archers so this probably within their wheelhouse but it’s not their speciality. With this ability, there could be many targets at different locations and yet he could take them all out at once. Which could be doubled as a friend saving move where his friends in the crowd but the arrows only hit their targets. Like a combination of Gaap’s ally wind save and Bachiko’s 100 arrow shot. Fitting of Iruma who loves the bow and arrow because it enables him to protect his friends in a way only he can.
I was also thinking this can be used on a single enemy too if he wanted to hit multiple parts of their body all at once. Kind of like the arrow pin move at The Heartbreaker except the arrows are being fired at the same time. No more wasting time for the next arrow fire when you can do it all together. This would require so much focus and precision because if he was off by even a millimeter, he could accidentally puncher a vital organ instead of halting the opponents movements (unless he was aiming for multiple weak points all at once). And of course, the friend saving part of it would require even MORE concentration and spacial awareness because well... he obviously wouldn't want to kill a friend on accident.
Arrow blast/transformation: I was also thinking that since he has become really efficient at transformation magic maybe it would be possible to combine the arrow magic and transformation magic to turn his arrows into some sort of bomb upon impact. Or it transforms in some way after fire. This one has plenty of potential and is also a fairly common archery hero move so there's def precedent in this move. I have a lot of ideas, it could be a bomb or mana blast. Maybe somehow transform into a creature? I was thinking this based on Robin's bow ability that, while it's just an arrow, is shaped like a bird. But what if it was more creature connected? I don't know if this ability would fully fit Iruma but I think it's a neat concept!
Mana Absorption Fire: A combination of Ali-san's and Iruma's magic, the ability to steal mana from their victim. This would be helpful since it could continously power Iruma to fire more arrows as long as he has feathers. I don't know exactly how this would work from a magic science stand point, but I presume maybe a portion of Ali would be imbued into the shot making it possible. Think Clara's toy box but more in the face about how dangerous it is. This would rule as a power because it not only hurts the target, it would also weaken them magically. And in the netherworld, this esentially halts them in their tracks if they are physically and magically hurt. Now granted, I imagine for more powerful enemies it would take a bunch of arrow shots to mark a significant dent in their magic. And how much magic could be gained from the shot would greatly depend on Iruma and Ali. But still a great concept I think since it would fit with the gluttonous theme when it comes to Iruma.
I have had this in my drafts for a long ass time and decided to fully release it to the world tehe. Before I make any new posts I wanted to get rid of some old ones I’ve had saved. Hope you liked this magic ideas post, if I come up with more I’ll be sure to post a second one. Also, if you have any more ideas or powers he could learn (attack or passive) feel free to comment them!
Okay okay, SO let’s talk about the latest chapter of Iruma kun because the lore is JUICY. Spoilers for chapter 358. This also leaves me with even more questions while answering some I had before. So I actually had a post planned where I was going to ask why Delkira received a special and sublime classroom to begin with. I wondered if maybe he was a previous demon king’s son and maybe that was why he was already revered. But NOPE it seems not likely. It’s still possible, I just got the vibe was that he was miraculous in his achievements and power. So it kind of answers that question but we still have no info on his family, the king’s classroom, or how he was able to achieve so much. On the other hand we got some VERY VERY interesting lore on Mephisto-pheles. It also explains why he gave this task to Iruma since he obviously sees the potential for him to surpass Delkira in the future. He wants Iruma to know what it takes to be in power, somewhat as an advisor role like he has been for previous kings. By assisting a king you can understand how to rule. And by building up a country, you can know what it takes to lead a country. I already guessed that since he was already interested in Iruma. But this just adds an extra layer to why he is as fascinated by him as he is. GOD NISHI IS SO GOOD AT WRITING LORE. I ASPIRE to write something with as much depth and intricacies as this manga. She is my inspiration truly 🙏🏽
Like, look at Mephisto’s face here compared to after he met Iruma. Different face but same vibe.

![A manga panel from Mairmashita! Iruma-kun from chapter 324. The panel is of adult Mephisto looking to the left, a phone in his hands. He has short lightly wavy hair, two black horns pointed upwards, pointed ears, and a hoodie on. His expression is of excitement and or joy with an open smile. The text reads “I really like them.” [Which is in reference to kid’s with main character energy, in this case Iruma.]](https://64.media.tumblr.com/5da02f559a7013827ddc899b12614613/7817b12791ac3b93-99/s640x960/38dda66b80854a26b1372882d2d48b32c194f2c0.jpg)
Now, going back to Delkira one, we get to see more of his personality and he’s so much like Iruma!!!!! No wonder everyone and their fucking mom keeps being like, “damn why tf do I see Delkira in him.” Neither strive for power for power’s sake, instead they strive for power because they see it as a step forward in their goal and desires. They both want to find their own path rather than it just being given to them. It really shocked me at first that Delkira turned Mephisto down but it actually makes so much sense why everyone is enamored by him. That is the most undemon like thing he could have done, he had the perfect opportunity to gain all the power in the world in a quick and easy way. Any other demon would have killed for that chance. They are so fucking alike and it makes me want to rage. I love it so much, I love that we are getting to see more of him as time goes on. Him and Iruma even have the same smile! Like come on.

He even has similar jesters to Iruma!!!! This flashback is making me rethink my theories about him and his connection to Iruma. Ughhhh, I’m so fucking happy about this. Also, this nothing to do with anything but look at Delkira’s cunty lil outfit. This sheer shirt? Rolled up uniform jacket he has popped open. These tight pants with a weird belt design? I would be Delkira’s number one supporter is all I’m saying. He’s babygirl just like Iruma. Maybe that’s the requirement to be the next powerful demon king, you have to serve mother fucking CUNT if you want to rule. Anyway, I think there was more I wanted to say but I got distracted with my rant lol. I just love this lore so much, I love how Nishi handles lore drops (especially with characters) and seeing more of Delkira because I am so fascinated with him and must know more.
Okay, I’ve been collecting my thoughts on the many-ears demon race and their subservient stance in the Netherworld. And I think this is a perfect time to make a post since chapter 361 just came out and we are getting the main conflict of the arch: conservative older generation vs progressive younger generation. Plus also the fact that the forming country and school still isn’t stable and all that. Spoilers for chapter 361!

So it’s becoming more and more clear that the main conflict will be changing the minds of the older more fearful generation of the many-ears race. Which makes perfect sense, a newer kid comes into this area with ideas of making them equals (something they have never been in their race’s history from what we know) and with the help of one of their own, starts influencing the minds of their children. Obviously the elders would be scared and want to shut this down. It looks like the many-ears can’t remember or see a past or future where they didn’t have this class system in place and the idea of it shifting could very much lead to pain and suffering. It kind of reminds me of the civil rights movement in America, like sure it lead to the many laws that protect marginalized people today, but it came at the cost of many injuries/deaths, fights, and years of activism. The road isn’t an easy one and similarly to the movement, many people didn’t see a point. There’s a few mindsets that you can fall into for this, either you don’t believe change is possible or you do believe it is possible but ultimately would not be worth pursuing because of the consequences. It seems like most fall into the “it’s not possible” with maybe some believing that even if it could change, why change something that has works for generations. The elder in particular seems to believe the second one, that maybe life could be better for them but refuses to change anything on a chance.
It’s understandable why they wouldn’t want change to happen, especially at the expense of their children. But at the same time, younger generations are typically the ones who are less willing to stick to the status quo (queue high school musical) and engage in activism. That’s why student activism is so prevalent, you become aware of new cultures, ideas, and history and are less willing to settle with what’s “worked.” Think about the recent college activism for Palestine or the student walkouts in Florida against the “don’t say gay” bill. A few examples of a much larger trend. However, as you get older you are less willing to see things change, you become compliant and many ways, complicit. Things that seemed like there wasn’t an issue or shouldn’t be an issue are now being questioned and that forces you to question your whole system. And many don’t want to confront that.
In the case for the many-ears, they have survived off of honing their hearing skill to careers that would best benefit from having superb hearing. However, what about many-ears who don’t have incredible hearing like Nova or you simply don’t want the jobs you are trained for like the children in chapter 360. What happens if someone wants to be a florist like the Monmo-chan that doesn’t require good hearing to succeed? If you base your value on your hearing alone, does someone who doesn’t want to base their worth on that lesser in their society? Are they seen as misguided, helpless, or even traitor to your race? It seems chapter 361 confirms that fear. If you don’t have great hearing, you do not have value or worth. And sure, we can argue that he was just saying that to get him to quit teaching the students, but no matter what, his statements were ableist. There’s no other way to slice it. He literally told Nova he has no value in their society because he doesn’t have the many-ears hearing skill. He may be able to hear like most other demons, but in reference to the many-ears, he has a disability that makes him “worthless” in their eyes.
I think another thing I find interesting is that they believe (probably based on a fact(s) of some kind) that they are weak. Weak in body and weak in magic. First, weak in body is something that we can, for the most part, can agree about because of their stature. They are very small compared to most demons and this easily makes them prey to many other demons. But why do they believe that not training your strength and combat isn’t at least worth pursing? Same for magic. Right now we haven’t seen much evidence this is true since we have only seen Nova sucessfully do magic, but let’s say this is true. Does learning some easy or basic spells not seem worth it? On some part the lack physical and magical prowess seems to be innate in the many-ears, but I believe a larger issue is them internalizing this perceived weakness and deciding it’s not worth learning to better themselves. We know that there does exist spells that doesn’t require much magic from Momonoki’s flashback when she was a newbie teacher. Demons come in many shapes and sizes, including magic. This wouldn’t be a new issue that there exists a demon who has small magic reserves (like Kirio for instance). There has to be more spells that exist that you can use if you fall into this category. And just because someone is smaller doesn’t mean that can’t learn how to fight or train athletically. Sure you may not be as strong as other demons, but you can always learn how to use a weapon. At the very least, learning the theory could protect them if nothing else.
At this point, it seems like the many-ears are just shooting themselves in the foot because they’d rather not even try to learn another skill that could benefit them in the future. Sure the jack of all trades may be the master of none, but as the end of the saying goes, it’s still better than the master of one. This really feels like home schooling verses public school debate too. Like sure, the school that the love trio made isn’t perfect by any means, but it provides them with a more well rounded education that doesn’t just focus on the one. The elder talks about how mastering magic isn’t guaranteed, but couldn’t we say the same with their hearing? Just because others have succeeded doesn’t mean the children are bound to accomplish greatness just because of their hearing. You can’t ever know that.
Children are full of potential and as a teacher you are supposed to give them a plethora of chances to do new things and learn new skills. By stifling them, you essentially are saying they don’t have any other potential to grow. And as a future teacher, it really makes me mad to see that their parents don’t also see their children’s potential. Not to mention that even if you are good at something, it doesn’t mean you are destined to be happy. In fact, I think many of the skills we have are better left as hobbies or something you do for fun. Making a career out of every little skill you’ve honed makes it just that, a job. And maybe not a fun one. They are just repeating a cycle that makes everyone miserable but “works” not for their children’s benefit but for their own because well, at least they are “safe.” Idk, I’d rather be happy but that’s just me.
This is also not to say that the many-ears’ issues are all created by them, clearly other demons are also to blame for this problem. A broken system doesn’t just sprout from no where, it is created by years of oppression and oppressive thinking. What demon wouldn’t take advantage of a race that seems powerless without the strength of the powerful? It creates a back and forth systemic issue that works in theory but is broken if you even think about it for two seconds. The many-ears cannot base their entire worth on their hearing, it just causes unaddressed pain and self worth problems. And not to mention, while it may be working out for them now, it isn’t sustainable. What if at some point demons decide they no longer want to rely on the many ears and start training others for the jobs they are known for? What if a disease or virus spreads that attaches their hearing? What if a large majority of them get hurt or injured, damaging their ears? Not to mention, on a small scale everyone can be disabled in their life time. If you become disabled with your hearing, you wouldn’t be able to fall back on anything. Because you based your entire existence on being able to hear well.
Ultimately, I think this is why it needs to be Nova or Nova in the future that needs to rule the many-ears because he’s living proof that your hearing not only doesn’t define you, but also that the system is built off ableist ideals. Nova should be seen as less valuable because he was born without excellent hearing, especially when he clearly loves and cares for his people. Change is built off the backs of not those in power but by those who’s been suppressed, who want to see change for themselves and for others like them. I hope Nova can see his own value even if his people don’t right now

Im a day late but it's whatever
