Here's more Jeanne. I'll probably post more on her as I go and figure out more about what I want her story to look like (for the fanfic I will inevitably write). But for now, here's what I got:
She's a Ravenclaw, much to her surprise.
Her dad's Irish, hence the accent that can be seen when she's majorly peeved or tired (I learned some Irish swears for this; apologies if I used them wrong, I don't know any Irish folks lol).
I figure she's a muggleborn - just makes sense for what I want to cover in the story and for who she is as a person.
She's got the redhead anger, if you catch my drift.
She was really excited about being able to wear trousers and knickebockers when she got to Hogwarts. Skirts are nice, but hard to move super freely in.
Anyway, thanks for reading. Fic will be coming soon (hopefully) and I'll probably open up commissions at some point soon as well. Yay!

Felt like making something with a lot of blue today so here's this guy.
More old sketches of Jeanne. Figured it would be fun to look back on all the changes I made to her while I edit the first chapter of my Hogwarts Legacy fic. Honestly, she hasn't changed all that much - it's mainly just little things like her accent and her impatience for idiocy lol.
And yes, she would absolutely still cuss out Rookwood if the opportunity arose (especially after what I have planned for his character [insert evil laugh])
And even more fan art today. I re-watched the Space Mall episode of Voltron and was possessed by the overwhelming desire to draw this guy, which I think is funny because he's not even in that episode.
But yeah, I love Matt, guys. And I have yet another fanfic in the works to prove it because I cannot express my love normally.
Is this fandom even still active after all these years?
It was colossal. Stone towers and turrets stretched into the sky, scraping against the stars and blocking out the moon with even more resolve than the forest canopy. The cliff it sat atop was enclosed by a lake, pitch black and as vast as the night it reflected.
Hogwarts – in all its glory - was within reach.

Backgrounds are hard (I've never actually done a fully lit one with out a photo reference so that's fun), but this turned out pretty cool.

More old Jeanne art since all of my current projects are very time-consuming lol.
I figure, since Jeanne is a muggle-born, she isn't very reliant on magic in the beginning. It just doesn't immediately occur to her to pull her wand out for all her problems. So, when Mr. Rookwood decides to try and start a fight in a bar, Jeanne decides the only logical counter is to smash an empty bottle and go ham wild. What's a 15 year old girl to do when two grown men harass her? Commit acts of great violence, that's what!
This is still very much accurate and will absolutely be in my fic. I might have to do a redraw of this eventually, make it more dramatic lol.
Line up of characters for fun (and pain). I kinda guessed on their heights just based on what I've seen in-game, so it's probably not completely accurate but whatever lol.
So, Ominis is the tallest, followed closely by Sebastian, and then Garreth. Samantha is the shortest (though she's definitely taller than Poppy, who is probably going to be the smallest out of the entire cast).
I'll probably do a bigger one later on with as many people as I can fit onto a page (more pain).
Haven't done anything DC-related for a while so here's Dick and some headcanons.

Funnily enough, Dick Grayson is by far the most perplexing character in the Bat family (for me). He's been through a lot, seen a lot, done a lot, and yet he's still a shining beacon of hope and goodness for everyone in his life. He isn't possessed by obsessions for vengeance or rage, nor the trauma he's experienced. While the death of his parents and those close to him has certainly dictated some aspects of his life, it has never dragged him down into the darkness like it has others. It does, however, allow his to deeply understand people and their needs (see his relationship with Damian when Dick was Batman, how close he is with Jason, etc.).
And therein lies what makes Dick one of the best heroes (in my humble opinion). The overwhelming ability to care for others and the pure desire to help where he can - that, right there, is Dick.
In the darkness, there will always be light. It's surprising to see, especially in as dark of places as Bludhaven or Gotham.

This was my reaction the first time I played this section. I'm a hater, what can I say? A justified hater, but a hater indeed.
Oh yeah, and sorry for not posting as much lately. Classes have finally kicked off and I keep forgetting I'm allowed to enjoy myself lol. At least I finally got the first chapter of fic done! I'm actually pretty into the title of it ngl.

And here's the second and third prompts from this week for #MCtober. Took longer than I thought it would to finish this but I'm actually pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

Favorite class: Charms! Transfiguration and History of Magic are a close second and third. I figure Jeanne likes the practical lessons and how useful the material is on the reg. I mean, accio and levitation charms alone would be revolutionary for someone who's never been able to use magic before. Professor Ronen definitely makes the class a million times more entertaining too.
Least favorite class: Divination. Jeanne sucks at it and she's not particularly interested in how awful her future is anyway. However, it becomes much more bearable thanks to Professor Onai.
Favorite teacher: Sharp. He reminds her of her dad, in both good ways and bad lol. His lectures make her feel right at home.

Hobbies and clubs: Dueling club!!! And she'd probably join chior if she had the time as well. She learned how to sing when she was in regular muggle school (her mother insisted she should), and she actually quite enjoys it.
Saw this and thought of my dear Jeanne.
Remember everyone: All you have to do to get a guy is kick his ass in a fight and then endlessly tease him about it. It's science.

MCtober Week 2, babyyyyy! These past couple weeks have been insanity so not a lot of art- making has been happening, but the madness has passed and now I may rest. Here's prompts 1 and 2 for this week:
Study habits: Jeanne will read the assigned test and take notes. Then never look at them again. She usually remembers the important stuff... usually... if it's interesting. It used to drive her muggle teachers insane, but magical folk seem to be much more tolerant of it for some reason.
In Magical History: I will take this opportunity to quote my own fanfic here because no one can stop me:
Jeanne quickly understood why everyone had been so unhappy about having History of Magic in the mornings. The classroom was obscenely warm, and… damn, was Professor Binns dry. However, what Professor Binns lacked in enthusiasm, he made up for in wonderfully in-depth knowledge.
After an hour of doing her best not to fall asleep for fear of missing the very interesting information Professor Binns was droning about, they were released and off to Charms.
She tries very hard to stay awake. She really does. But holy moley, is it difficult. She enjoys history as a subject, especially that of the magical world (it's far more interesting and slightly less depressing than muggle world history in her opinion), so, while it's an uphill battle, it's one she's willing to fight. Assuming she hasn't spent the night fighting statues or nearly getting killed by giant spiders.
